I think the whole world will benefit from this new technology.

Who doesn't want a bank in his own pocket, you're boss over your own money. No one can tell you where or how to spend it.

Banks have very important roles in the world. A lot of crypto enthusiasts fail to understand that Bitcoin and banks are not incompatible. If Bitcoin becomes mainstream then banks will just provide loans via BTC. People still need the credit as do businesses.

Also you can spend your money how you want anyways?

To me, it seems like as soon as some sort of buyer protection can be put in place, then it will work for general everyday transactions. It will also benefit stores, especially small businesses who hate to take cards because of the high fees

Yes, the change in the societal landscape cant be overstated both for 1st and 3rd world.  Theoretically if we all used bitcoin or money government couldn't control for everything things would change dramatically imo.

I think that average people will surely benefit from Digital Currency.
It will help them to receive money faster and in more simple way.
Also, they will avoid bank fees, it will help their financial freedom etc.
I'm sure that only people who don't like Digital Currencies are bankers Smiley

Well in the plain view it looks like people and merchants trying to avoid the costs of traditional money, will be benefited by crypto.

Bitcoin Experiment Gives A Glimpse

http://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2014/11/26/who-will-benefit-from-digital-currency-bitcoin-experiment-gives-a-glimpse/

This is the final installment in a three-part interview with Stanford Business School professor and economist Susan Athey on digital currencies. In part 1, we discussed what Bitcoin is and what potential applications are, and in part 2, we looked at the security pros and cons of cryptocurrencies, plus hurdles to adoption.

Today, we talk about who will benefit from digital currencies and a new Bitcoin experiment Athey is helping to conduct in which each MIT undergrad will receive $100 in Bitcoin.
