An alternative of the freelancer is also UpWork (as known as oDesk)
Saying the truth i don't work there but some friends yes.
They get paid in Paypal and pay some fee to withdraw (don't know exactly).
Withdrawing in bitcoin so far i have not seen any.

Yes, I would absolutely use a website like this.  One feature I would really like is a review system, like on LBC for example.  So after a job the employer/employee could rate each other, and bad eggs could be weeded out.  With a bit of work you could establish yourself as a leading member of the community with consistent quality, either prompt payment and such for employers, or good quality work for employees.

I'm pretty sure that both Freelancer and Fiverr have something like that. It's a good idea because one thing I've seen on Freelancer is that they have a lot of people who never passed the qualification exams but they're placing bids on jobs anyway, and then people complain because they wanted a 500-word article for $1 but what they got was somebody in India who barely speaks English. Which is why I'll probably have some kind of "hiring a freelancer guide" and also a "pre-selecting your clients guide" on the site somewhere.

Right now I'm working on something that would be like Freelancer.com, only for cryptocurrencies. Right now I'm curious about whether people here would actually use one and what you would look for in a platform like this.

I would definitly use the website , there is a lot of similliar website around for Cryptoo currency or Bitcoin alone but they are all basically dead and you see announcement each 4 months or something .
Having a new website which looks good and advertised as should be , would be definitly awesome . I was searching for this kind of website since a long time , Bitcoin don't need a lot of things right now if you ask me . GPT website that Monbux should do , OpenBazaar , Freelancer website (yours if it's that good) , Darkwallet and we should be fine .  Grin

If you have enough money , you could also use Signatuer compaigns or look for investors on the Securities section . I guess it would be successfull if it's a good professional work Wink looking forward to see it

I am sure you are probably aware of this , there is already fiverr which lets people pay with bitcoin. I am not sure if on the receiving end too they can accept bitcoin . This would definitely be a good idea but likely to get less traction as there are not many people who go to bitcoin related freelancer site to hire webdevelopers or other freelancing jobs , specially when they are not aware of what bitcoins are .

I can confirm that Fiverr doesn't do payouts to workers in Bitcoin and I bet that's frustrating for freelancers who want an option other than Paypal. Right now my plan is to market to people (businesses?) who already use Bitcoin and freelancers who might be on the fence about cryptocurrencies because they're not seeing that the infrastructure is there to support them.
