Don't need fiatleak to see China has been setting the market trend from the start of the run up to $1200, all the way down to $350. Without China we're 50% up from their big entry, at best.
This is true....china controls really big part of BTC market.

American woke up, read the news about China, then panic dump. Previously price on Huobi always lower, but now it is even higher than BTC-e.

Wrong. If you were following fiatleak at the time of the dumping, then you would realize it was China dumping, not America.

Fiatleak is not an accurate representation of the market.

Guys, I am new to the bitcoin scene. Is it a good time to buy now or is it going to still go down?

Buy reasonable amounts, say 3-5% every paycheck while it falls. Don't try to time the bottom. If here within the span of the next year you are buying *above* your cost basis, hold till it reaches double your cost basis then sell at 3-5% of your weekly paycheck's worth. Inevitably it'll fall in value again and then you can start accumulating again with a new cost-basis.

Good tactic, but personally I think "bottom" is around $300, if it still seems to be going down after that, then $250. After $250 though, just keep buying, as prices will never go down that low again xD

The dumping hasn't even begun. just slow bleed. Reversal requires a day with at least 200,000BTC volume on stamp. current volume is only 35,000BTC.

All the noobs are buying. Not a good sign. I'm just saying.

Why do you think that? Noobs who put new money in the market in November (me included) contributed a lot to the huge price increase of that period.

Guys, I am new to the bitcoin scene. Is it a good time to buy now or is it going to still go down?
I recently built a rig with 5 GPU's for  scrypt mining, but I realise now that it is cheaper to buy coins rather than mining. So planning to shutdown my rigs till the price goes up.

Mining when everyone is "waiting for prices to go up" and difficulty is lower would be the best time to mine IMO....

god damn it!!! $400?!? and there's no MT.GOX to blame for it..

Mt.Gox is the reason why BTC is trading at <400 now.

Correct. While the Chinese exchanges are faking volumes, MtGox still held the largest funds in fiat.

With all those funds being held, the market is so thin and a few thousands btc can move the market.
