Just like a game, anytime can get hacked and another time can recover again.... but that is just using a money become a collateral... is not different with gambling...

Nowadays?  Reuters showed that exchanges for anything are leaky sacks of mesh.

Among the world's stock exchanges, however, security breaches are much higher, with hackers attracted to the large pools of cash moving in and out of these trading venues. The latest survey of 46 securities exchanges released three years ago by the International Organization of Securities Commissions and World Federation of Exchanges found that more than half had experienced a cyber attack.

A shame that exchanges are so risky nowadays.

All of altcoins will fail because it has be planned since before the coins entry on markets, the goal made of coins is just for take money no another aim. But not all of altcoins because there are some altcoins who be made with clear aim not because of money only.

It does not matter how many times a exchange gets hacked, how many times people get scammed alts... it does not matter, alts will always exist. People love pump and dumps and they will keep pumping and dumping, there's nothing you can do to stop this. The show must go on, let's make some BTCs.

On the contrary.  There is not one single good reason for these laws to exist, except to have a strong argument to require oversight of all trade, because SOME trade for which there is big offer and big demand has been declared extremely illegal.  Essentially, marijuana laws are there for tptb to have an excuse to kill all freedom in the market: hell, you might be a *drugs dealer* !!   If you sell a bottle of whiskey, that's ok, but if you sell some marijuana, you are amongst the biggest criminals that run around.
At the same time, given the large demand for marijuana, there is hence a strong offer for it, declared totally illegal and of the highest levels of criminality, and as such, creating a very lucrative opportunity for underground circuits.  The declared "war on drugs" is nothing else but a way to have the market CREATE an illegal, and lucrative circuit, and then give the opportunity to tptb to "fight" it, infiltrating EVERY underground circuit, and giving excuses to liberticide laws.

In other words, the marijuana laws are nothing else but a method, by tptb, to promote actions and laws that increase their grip on their victims, the people, that would otherwise be difficult to justify.   However, in as much as they are losing the war on drugs, this is because in the end, nobody is stronger than the market, they already obtained most of what they wanted concerning coercion, and they now have a much better enemy to do even more: terrorism.

The reason of why those coins are dead is because they are not doing anything new, they are not filling any gap in the market, a lot of alt coins are obviously cash grabbing attempts trying to imitate what bitcoin did.

There’s no doubt in my mind that if a superior coin appeared which solved a problem or filled a gap in the market people will flock to it

I also don't think anything even remotely close to a decentralized Exchange exists yet.
(a system that would function for the end users in much the same way as traditional exchanges do now)

And FIAT will not fail because the FED-Reserve will not let it.
Quite the same as Ethereum or say Doge coin will not die either..
Because there is people waiting to prop it up & keep it a float.

That is not the problem. The problem is how to make the people use p2p exchanges and finally close the loop in trading cryptocoins. Maybe in time bitsquare will have enough volume to provide all would be traders with enough bitcoins in their order book.

I think the reasons is the coins just for take short investors and take their money, there are not updating from developer of coins, there are not clear fungtion of coins and there are not comunities who support the coins and there are not traders who trade them. So the coins are dead.

Time to wake up and realize Greed-Stock 2013 is over kidiots !
