even though we know these influencers always have some ulterior motives but it's pretty much the reason many newbies are getting into cryptocurrency investing, honestly they usually are the ones that makes many got interested in the field of investing, and afterwards they have fans which always follow influencers advice religiously. in short they have special place in the heart of some newbies.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
There are some newbies out there
Others are also too lazy to make their own personal research
I agree, but I'm surprised that there are so many of them. Like there are Twitter accounts with millions of subscribers. I agree that there are lazy people and newbies, but I think there are more people who just follow the hype and really believe that you can become a crypto millionaire like the moon in a week lol. It's not even lazy, it's straight-up stupid.

p.s. thanks for the advice, I fixed the post Grin
This happens everywhere, lets look at politics, a politician makes all kind of crazy promises to win the election, and once they are in power not only they do not implement what they promised but they do the opposite, you may think that after such a lack of performance the politic career of such a person will be in shambles and they will never get elected ever again, but we know they will keep doing the same over and over again, and if this happens in politics which can have a massive effect on our lives it is not surprising influencers can get away with it as well.

...It feels like people don't remember what happened yesterday, because a lot of these guys say "bitcoin will go up tomorrow" and when they are wrong, they just ignore it and say "NOW it will go up" and they do it until it will go up to say "I told you so". If you look at all these posts you will see that they are wrong almost all the time and try to hide it to save this "rich trader" reputation. And people still follow their advice and believe them...

If there was no demand for such forecasts, then we would not have seen such soothsayers. And all these newcomers, who actually want to earn a profit quickly and effortlessly, create a similar "demand" for such crooks. It should be noted that such forecasts are given in such a way that they can be taken in two ways and in any case, he will be able to turn his forecast to his advantage.

Influencers serves as guide to newbies in the market and educate them on the coins to bagged and the time to sell. Selecting an influencer wouldn't be difficult if you know what you're doing and how the market typically functions. There are both good and bad influencers in the space. Investors without knowledge are the real problem because they wasted time planning projects in the area without conducting necessary research. They are only concerned with how much money they will make when the project is completed, oblivious to the fact that the majority of projects are scams. Moreover there's recommendation for good crypto influencers in the space, they've undergone complex training and they knows when the bull and bear season will be triggered in the market.
Maybe there is a tiny percent who did not really care about making money by shilling a random crypto project but they only care about the community so they are helping the newbies to go in the right path. If you have an experienced or knowledge in this field then yes you will have an idea if which influencers are honest and worthy to follow but what if you are a complete noob?

Better if you won't go straight on them but just learn bitcoin in your own. We have this forum and other websites who teaches about bitcoin and stuffs. We shouldn't blame the newbie investors but blame those greedy influencers. If only they are not selfish, all newbies in the space will be guided properly on the right path.

I believe that the existence of crypto "influencers" on Twitter is not surprising, given the nature of social media and the crypto industry. However, it is important for investors to be cautious and do their own research before following any investment advice from these individuals. While some may have valuable insights and expertise, others may be motivated by their own interests or may not fully understand the risks involved in cryptocurrency investing.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
That's because Twitter has many daily active users around the world.  I think currently Twitter is the largest social media with the most active user interaction in the world.  So it's not surprising that many influencers in the crypto world still use Twitter to promote various crypto projects.  There are many ways one can promote their projects on Twitter and it is very easy to find audiences with similar likes on Twitter.
It is very important that we know that this forum we are into has the kind of old software which is not to flash in it graphics. And that is why new generation users always find it unfriendly to remain in the forum. They instead take their businesses and crypto related matters to Twitter where the feel is a social media, they can freestyle and do other things. So it is therefore not surprising that Twitter cryptocurrency angle is making waves and influencera are making huge sum of money everyday.

We might ignore an influencer because we feel we have the first-hand information about cryptocurrency. How about the newbies who knows little or nothing about cryptocurrency? They always troop into social media's and they will trap them before they could understand how the crypto-currency market works.

What exactly confuses you? The fact that there are influencers or that they are using twitter to influence? Twitter still has one of the largest users database. It is still easier to make a post and reach needed audience in Twitter, than run around and try to convince people. I would say that trustful audience is the reason why we still have crypto-twitter influencers. People take everything at face value, people dont have thousands of others replied positively and follow them. It is easier to believe in a text that has 1000+ likes, than to follow what a crowd of 1000+ persons trust if they are gathered in one place IRL.

There is something wrong with crypto influencers? I believe that not all of them are doing it wrong, there are a few good projects I got into through crypto influencers and I never regretted doing so, you just have to listen to the project they are talking about and do your own research on the project, buying the token or coin is not their fault, you money belongs to you and you are the only one to spend it rightfully.
not all crypto influencers are wrong and not all crypto influencers are right.
there are some cryto influencers who are sincere and true in providing information on a crypto project in the hope that more people will know about the project and get profit. but there are also cryto influencers who deliberately spread fake news about a project in the hope that more people will invest and only care about their own profits, for example many cryto influencers spread fake news about gambling sites and trading sites.

Influencers exist because crypto adopters created them. The audience turned them into influent personalities inside the industry. If people just ignored them, these influencers wouldn't exist.

However, there is a theory that when something has to happen it will happen anyway, by the hands of one person or another. What means that if it wasn't for these individuals in particular, like bitboy, scams would be being efficiently promoted by other influencers and investors would be scammed in every cases. In the end, you can't really avoid something which is pre-determined to happen.

So my question is this: if people are more aware of crypto/ bitcoin and all these scams, why they are giving power to these "influencers" to earn more money and scam more people?
Because not all people are knowledgeable about Bitcoin (crypto in general), lack of knowledge is the problem that's why some of investors are believing these influencers and letting themselves become a victim of scam projects. They won't stop until there are people who believe what they say, unfortunately most of them are newbies in crypto.

Moreover, even this forum is full of information about crypto, some people are not aware of its existence. Hence they're relying on other platforms that can provide informations of what they're looking for and probably these influencers are one of their sources.
Isn't that a bit of a trouble on their behalf? Like all the information you need about crypto and bitcoin is available online, and if you have no knowledge about it and not seek it out, then it is a bit of your trouble to fall for an influencer and lose money, right?

What people normally should do is to see this type of trouble, and then avoid it and try to learn what they should do, if they end up doing nothing at all and ending up with something much worse, then it's kind of their trouble at the current situation. I personally believe that the best thing to do would be learning, learn when you are new, but keep learning more if you can even when you are a veteran.

Not all people are aware that there are influencers who are just making themselves a favor by posting something that is aiming to help people. We know that the rise of influencers came by along with the rise of bull market. Most of the prediction about bitcoin going up is obvious but people who are new to the space don't know about it. Influencers are just taking advantage of those newbies to make their reputation rise and also their followers but today we are on a bear market, I'm pretty sure those influencers are having a hard time earning some money that's why they are taking the risk of promoting scam projects as if it won't affect them. Newbies are the one who are being victimized by these, Those newbies that don't have enough knowledge somehow rely on these influencer to gain knowledge which is the easiest way to learn but the riskier given that not every word they are saying is correct.

The only way to make people avoid giving power to these influencers is to have more knowledge in cryptocurrency.

What is clear is because those crypto influencers have very good popularity and image in other circles because consciously that we can realize there are people who believe in him so that many followers to see and get references from that person (although they always say Dyor is still for I am as a comparison of what I have learned in a project) and make no mistake those who might be said to be marketing a project when having a lot of followers on Twitter usually offered a fairly large salary as a marketing team.
And certainly from the person who follows the person will be the target of advertising that he made and certainly in followers there are still many beginners in the crypto world and as usual they are more easily attracted.
The problem of scam or not in this case may also be affected by what happened but basically they only work to get payments.

The reasons why people might give influencers power in crypto and Bitcoin scams include trust, FOMO, lack of knowledge, and greed. Although people may be more aware of potential risks, they may trust influencers they admire and believe they have their best interests at heart. Furthermore, individuals may be influenced by the fear of missing out on a potentially profitable opportunity, while some may not have a complete understanding of blockchain technology or be tempted by the prospect of easy profits. Therefore, it is crucial to approach cryptocurrency investments with caution, conduct extensive research, and seek professional advice instead of relying solely on influencers' opinions.

Yes, I have seen many such people in the recommendation channels on Telegram, whether free or paid, this is exactly what happens. They give you a recommendation for one of the altcoins and tell you to buy immediately, it will rise, you buy and wait, but it does not rise. They tell you to be patient and a lot of time passes and altcoin does not rise, until you despair. And you sell it at a loss.

But if the coin rose, they would fill the world with a loud voice: “Did I not tell you?” My expectations were correct in the millimeter.

You do not have to pay an influencer to give you good deals neither, you just have to follow them, and if enough people follow them, then we are going to end up seeing a good amount of offers thrown at them by projects. I have talked with plenty, they charge anything between 400 dollars to 2000 dollars, of course there are bigger ones as well but that is what I learned, and they had like 20-25 tweets like that, which means they made anywhere between 8k to 40k that month, insane amount of money to make.
it is a huge money and a great offer which could really urge them to accept and make a deal promoting their platform even though they know it was a scam. Very unfortunate but this kind of scheme has been spreading across the market and I couldn't think this will be stopped easily. With their influence and a great number of social media followers, this could really make a huge impact on the project that they have promoted and enough for the company to make money by using these influencers to attract investors.

Because there are people who are fool enough to fall for them? That is the only reason, there are still a ton of people who check these influencers and base their investments after their suggestions and they basically make them famous.

I think we-all know.

The one needed to be educated is "their follower" or someone who investing, It's clearly simple based on how the investment work. If you don't have experience, or any due diligence by your self.

They should not invest.

How can you educate those followers if the majority of them are bots? That's very hard to be done. I think that if we shall not care about that anymore. The influencer gonna be existed forever and this can't be prevented. you can try to say bunch of tweets about it and i do believe most of people will just ignore you.

Just let them do whatever they want. If they got scammed by their favorite influencers and hope they got good lessons from what they have done before by following the influencer's advice.

And despite us having a strong and smart bitcoin community, why can't we win over "influencers" by showing people that they are all fake and lie all the time? We just literally need to who facts to do that.

My opinion is that these Twitter people are turning the crypto community into a freak show and people treat it less seriously because of that.

Not all people especially outside of this forum are good at analysis and insight and they need a kind of guru or adviser to lead them, but it ends up blind leading a blind scenario, here in Bitcointalk we are ok and have a grasp of the market condition and how FUD works against the market but for new investors who do not know the existence of Bitcointalk they can only turn to popular platforms like Twitter, Linkedin, and Facebook where there are so many fake and wannabes financial advisers.

They still get a lot of money from being an influencer anyway, plus a lot of people still believe whatever word they say so there's still a community behind them after all. If you have a community backing you up, you still have the power to make money from them and influence them to buy your bags before dumping on them. Even though we have already established that Twitter crypto influencers are no longer needed for the space to grow, people will still believe them just because. Especially if those same people don't have the initiative to think for themselves and decide for themselves as well.

Those fake influencers are doing everything just to fool their followers especially when they are talking about easy money and how they can win on a specific site for just a simple task. Well, that’s a click bait and we all know how greedy people are and they are more eager to make money, that’s why they become a victim easily.

Just follow someone who you think are true and shares a lot of good knowledge and not just those who spread hype. People have to learn the process and don’t think about making easy money at all.
^ When I heard they are paid for shills in a scam project, I usually unfollow them.
But on the other side, they are helpful, the problem with people is easy to believe what they hear and see on social media without making further research. Because it is worth noting that not all crypto-twitter influencers are equally reputable or trustworthy, and investors should always do their own research before making any investment decisions.

The community did the best thing to protect people from falling into scam projects as it was promoted by influencers through awareness and reports. But this is not enough to handle all of them, they are growing and they are getting smarter. Besides, it was not only the responsibility of the forum, but it was also the responsibility of the investors to assess the project that they are investing in. And these influencers never stop as long as they got paid and the developers will never stop as well as long as they still make money from their fake/scam promotions.
Yes, members of this community always try their best ro sound warning concerning any scam projects and also advise others to stay away from them, but since scam is not moderated by the forum, we cant totally eradicate their presence but we can at least minimize the activities and discourage other from falling for them.

-influncers are business guys who are after their own pocket and as long as the project team can pay them, they are ready to promote them even if there will end up scamming investors.

I wish it was only observed on Twitter. They are everywhere, on every social media platform, from Facebook paid advertisements to YouTube or TikTok. You can't avoid them. Unfortunately, some people are rookies and are easily lured because, when you're inexperienced, you're unsure where to look for information. Thus, you end up with the wrong sources, and you're likely to be screwed over. Other so-called influencers are practically Mr. Know-It-Alls and pretend they know everything, but in reality, they're completely ignorant.

There are surely some worthwhile ones out there that will try to analyze the market and the situation and at least attempt to come up with a conclusion. I generally don't follow anyone and stick to my own research and instinct.

I've been thinking about this for a while and I understand that there are a lot of people who don't have enough knowledge about crypto or they blindly follow anyone who says that "it's easy to trade crypto and get $1000/day", but I still surprised that there "influencers" are still active and have a huge audience.
This is really happening. Sometimes, some people are not leering from what happen and moreover, a reputable influencers will always have different place in their mind. Sadly, they may think that the influencer has tried to make better condition and regret what they did previously.
Btw, sometimes, such kind of influencers also have fake audiences to attract many more newbies to get into their channels and believe in them. I believe that actually many people that have been aware of those influencers are enough with them. But with the fake audiences, it seems that the influencers still have reputation to attract more people.

It doesn't matter to them, these people/influencers have been paid to make promotions for something whether they know it or not as they work for the job as long as there is money to receive. It is very unfortunate but that is true, might be some influence to decline the offer but those who are greedy for money will surely take the offer and do everything as said. And this is not easy to stop or it can't as these fake developers will never stop hunting known personalities to fulfill their wants even though how many times they got caught for their evil intentions because they still know that there are many innocent people that are easy to trick.

Anyway, this is beyond our control since we cannot force anyone not to follow such influencer, if you fall on their fake project better to share it to the others and tell them that the influencer they are following is sharing a scam project, it will depend to them if they will listen to you or just ignore your warning.

Since Ethereum launched you start seeing the freak show and anyone who talks about cryptocurrency became an expert and started advertising and promoting them and all the new projects that raised money in the past few years started hiring these made up influencers and they were having a great time since they were able to attract a crowd and with regulators going after these promoters, hopefully the freak show will end.

I really agree with you on this, crypto influencers on Twitter are a serious problem. The number of accounts that make quality broadcasts on Twitter is very few. If we exclude a few from the evaluation, we can say that almost all of the rest are accounts that tweet in return for advertisements. Their tactics are simple. They make a few predictions about Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Then they form an audience that they manage to influence. Then they start sending out public or private advertising tweets to their audience. Frankly, they're not a problem for me because I know what they're trying to do, but they're very likely to fool a newcomer to the market.

You will be surprised this does not limit to those newbies in crypto but to some old-timers as well. Most crypto influencers' followers are not only newbies or those with less knowledge about crypto. I think it is a common practice or has become a common practice in the crypto space for crypto lovers to want to follow top crypto guys to get informed in most cases, not particularly because they can't decide on their own.
I believe influencers have access to certain info that an ordinary crypto supporter may not have which can serve as a positive thing for such a person, in crypto information is key especially as an investor of alts projects, this among others is the reason why influencers may be around for long period imo.

I'm guessing they still serve the means for marketing for many projects and also source of shill so that some project could get value manipulation. the thing is, the masses wanted some kind of famous figure that they thought gonna helps them in getting massive money and these influencers is just that, nothing more that's why they could still thrive until now, moreover their activities are funded by their sponsors so don't think they'd just stop their shilling activities because they more they did it, the more they get incentivized from their sponsorships in their arsenal.

Moreover, even this forum is full of information about crypto, some people are not aware of its existence. Hence they're relying on other platforms that can provide informations of what they're looking for and probably these influencers are one of their sources.

It's true that there are many people who lack knowledge about crypto and are easily influenced by so-called "experts" or "influencers" who promise quick profits. Unfortunately, these influencers often use deceptive tactics to promote scam projects or exchanges and are more concerned with making money for themselves rather than educating or helping their followers.

The reason why people still follow these influencers despite their questionable track record could be attributed to the fact that many people are still new to the crypto world and may not know where to turn for reliable information. Additionally, these influencers often have a charismatic personality and are good at convincing people to trust them.

However, it's important for the crypto community to hold these influencers accountable and to expose their fraudulent behavior. By promoting transparency and educating others about the risks associated with crypto investing, we can help prevent others from falling victim to scams and ensure that the community is taken more seriously. Ultimately, it's up to each individual to do their due diligence and to take responsibility for their own investments.

A community is made up of many people and they belong to many types of people with widely different traits. People in Bitcoin communities can be either genius, smart, average, stupid, super stupid. They can be well-minded, strong mental, well-disciplined or they can be very emotional, undisciplined, psychological disordered, greed. You can not have a community with all same traits.

In the community, there are people who are lazy, don't want to learn but they are greed and dependent on opinions of others. They are followers of influencers and their activities, decisions are mostly decided, manipulated by influencers.

If you can not eliminate those people in communities, influencers will have follower communities to keep their influence big and spreading around.

Besides, it was not only the responsibility of the forum, but it was also the responsibility of the investors to assess the project that they are investing in. And these influencers never stop as long as they got paid and the developers will never stop as well as long as they still make money from their fake/scam promotions.

if people are more aware of crypto/ bitcoin and all these scams, why they are giving power to these "influencers" to earn more money and scam more people?

Because it is not the people who are aware of cryptocurrencies and their scams that give power to those influencers, it is the masses. People simply just follow those kinds of influencers because of the way they grow the account or their personal brand, and do note that some who partner up with them could simply create a campaign that pleases the masses, for example, free giveaway, freebies, and such kind of things.

So the ones who make a stupid person famous are not the ones who comprehend it.

And despite us having a strong and smart bitcoin community, why can't we win over "influencers" by showing people that they are all fake and lie all the time? We just literally need to who facts to do that.

Some account that was specifically made as scam buster did that, but the rate of those fake influencers are enormous and not all of them are effective. On one hand, there is a people who just can't simply able to protect themselves, no matter what scam scheme they have encountered, with a little twist, they will fall for another one.

Because they can make a profit, thats basically it. I know a friend who tried once and he failed big time because it really requires a full-time work amount of effort to become a big influencer. Its not just tweet once or twice a day and follow people and all that, its literally building relationships with everyone, possibly with big communities. First when you start out you need to have a twitter account and join a community and grow there and then share your twitter so they would follow you, after you get some followers you need to keep repeating that, go into communities, grow there, and be friends with people there, and then get more followers from there too. All of these takes time, some of these influencers have been around for 5+ years, that's a ton of work. Sure they make a good amount of income now, but they worked 5+ years to make that money.

I think that doesn't even make sense to call most of influencer followers were newbies. Those people act like bots. It's quite easy to know that how people influencers were fooling its followers with spending a few minutes by surfing in internet.
The problem is those influencers may have millions of followers but im sure that most of these followers were bots. There are also various reasons that were affecting people's mind to follow those influencers.

There are many kinds of people in twitter. Just like someone who was following influencer but he was ignoring it. I never ever following stupid influencers. Im only following influencer that i think that if this influencer has been giving good impact to the crypto market and being honest like CZ.

The questions raised in this thread are really important and I don't think I can give one answer. The reasons why people still listen to these "influencers" may be different. Some of them have already been mentioned in this topic.

In my opinion, beginners want to believe in the possibility of getting rich by the swing of a magic wand. The twitter "influencers" gave the signal and you're already a millionaire. No need to study, no need to work, no need to develop. It only takes a couple of necessary words from a respected expert impostor who will help you become rich. The reason is similar to people playing the lottery or gambling, where a magical bet will suddenly improve financial situation.

Perhaps, my opinion will be in solidarity with the fact that these "influencers" have a negative influence and create an unfavorable, or rather, misconception, about crypto currencies.

What suggestions can be made to change the situation?

There are reason why they still exist. They influence people to try what the influencer tried like crypto and they could also earn that way like referring people to a casino. There are newbies in crypto and if a influencer is not responsible then that newbie will get fooled because of being lazy doing research on their own because if a person is not lazy to make a research on their own then they won't believe right away if an influencer is sharing something and would have to make a research first then believe later.

Those influencers will still exist forever. They still want to target new people who want to learn to trade through them and tell them to follow suit. These influencers know how to attract new people and know psychologically that those new people want to earn a lot from crypto. Influencers can make more money than other people because they can provide ways that look easy but are difficult and use referral links to register on one or several sites that they think can provide big profits.

If the newcomers couldn't find more detailed information, they would surely be fooled by those irresponsible influencers. Other new people will continue the mistakes made by these new people because this crypto world will develop and more and more people will want to join and make profits in a short time.

As long as there are still many beginners who really don't really know about this then indeed influencers like that will continue to exist regardless of how we corner them but still beginners always come which makes this even more complicated.
But indeed I personally don't really care about that because telling beginners also won't be ignored forever but it's a different story when they have experienced it.
I will only protect the people closest to me from conditions where they are trapped in cases like this.

It feels like people don't remember what happened yesterday, because a lot of these guys say "bitcoin will go up tomorrow" and when they are wrong, they just ignore it and say "NOW it will go up" and they do it until it will go up to say "I told you so". If you look at all these posts you will see that they are wrong almost all the time and try to hide it to save this "rich trader" reputation. And people still follow their advice and believe them.

So my question is this: if people are more aware of crypto/ bitcoin and all these scams, why they are giving power to these "influencers" to earn more money and scam more people?
Because many people are stupid and only interested about the money, since there's a good traffic about this matter, many journalists are following what people are want to see, so they're creating a news about stupid prediction from self pro claimed crypto investors.

If people are smart and they're unfollow any influencer social media, I believe we will have a good discussion about the prospect and future improvement, not about money and profit only.

Are you talking about the bitcointalk community? I don't know if you've read enough from this forum but there are also a lot of members who get it wrong. You can visit the speculation boards and you'll see all sorts of predictions but only a few get it right. Some members seem more professional showing some technical analysis but still the market turns the other way. What makes us better than those influencers?

It's because people like entertainment and even if they see the actual thing, they want to believe blindly in these influencers. As for these influencers, they are there no matter what's going to be the market situation because that's their bread and butter and the followers that they've got is the niche and market that they're offering to the projects that may look helpful to them. Do not worry about it, in the US and some countries if an influencer advertised a scam, they'll be liable for it because they didn't researched first what the project is up to and they'll be sued for it.

I think we-all know.

The one needed to be educated is "their follower" or someone who investing, It's clearly simple based on how the investment work. If you don't have experience, or any due diligence by your self.

They should not invest.

Its not that they are giving the power. They just want to follow someone whose idea can be follow. Its just like copy trading. Someone promote or say I'll buy this and that then they show results. Of course you cant deny that there are some who wanted to have that kind of gain just by following someone. More or less its bit of a hassle to followers who are just been fooled. Im noy saying some influencers are all like that, there are true to their post without any money involved from the project but unfortunately there are who really doing that for money and they got a tons of followers. These people are the one that should be penalize for just using their power of community since they are famous.

Perhaps, it was the idea for an exchange platform to pay influencers to work with them and use their influence and power to attract and convince people to do trading while showing their money (fake money). Offering decent pay, these influencers will surely work hard and pay back what they have agreed with. We can't question them actually because they are just looking for a job but too unfortunate that this only lead to ruining their reputation.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
It's because Twitter exists, and people, for some reason, treat it as a legitimate "news" feed. And, well, teams just pretty much abuse that and hire influencers who would promote their project. If you know Coffeezilla, he recently did a video about how he hired a Twitter influencer to promote his own fake NFT, and the influencer didn't even look at the contract or the project itself properly, he just went ahead and did it. It's why I never use any of my social media for news, I just use it to follow hobby-related stuff.

I reckon the internet just killed the way people used to methodologically study something, or outright ignore it if they don't know jack about it. Now most people are filled with half-baked knowledge about stuff.

I don't get what you mean by "still", they have been a growing thing from the start and grow when ever the market grows.
It's insanely lucrative job to be one and they get paid a lot for different teams covering their coins.
Reason why they exist is because crypto twitter exist. There are ton of people in crypto twitter who know what they are saying, and masses of newbs or even older ones  can't tell paid influencers and actual crypto enthusiasts apart.

I would say that tik-tok and youtube influencers are way bigger problem though. People are actually following what they say just because they show their face and make a show about it.

But being smart has never won over masses. Being a populist and putting up a show is what attracts people.
IMHO you are giving way too much credit for crypto community or for people in general. People are stupid so markets are behaving stupid too.

And we have always been a freak show, there's no way covering that up.

I've been thinking about this for a while and I understand that there are a lot of people who don't have enough knowledge about crypto or they blindly follow anyone who says that "it's easy to trade crypto and get $1000/day", but I still surprised that there "influencers" are still active and have a huge audience.

Yeah i kinda feel the same. I mean i can totally understand it, that if you are completely new to crypto and have no experience whatsoever in this space, that you are looking up videos of youtubers or influencers. If you are in this space for at least a few months though it should be pretty obvious to everyone with an average IQ, that those influencers are not trying to help people to make money, but they are only trying to increase their own wealth with the help of their followers.
They are either paid by the teams to shill their project, or they got a allocation to the private sale and then they are shilling that project in order to dump on their followers.

You own the pen
There are some newbies out there that don't speak English well and also they are completely ignorant for the first time about the crypto investment they took this way to learn the things they need to do and instead of getting some working tips for investment, instead getting manipulated by those influencers who are also investors to the coins they are promoting. Others are also too lazy to make their own personal research and instead they will watch YouTube videos or Tweets from these guys that are not really there to care for their money.

By the way, if you can fix your post by giving it more space, that would be better for us to read it.

Most of these traders don't really earn money from crypto, they promote some scam projects or exchanges. And that's the second point of this post. There are so many "influencers" like bitboy that act like a crypto god or the CEO of bitcoin and promote scam projects like FTX and stuff and THEN when the sh*t goes down they pretend that this doesn't happen. Bitboy literally acts like he is the only reason SBF got caught.

So my question is this: if people are more aware of crypto/ bitcoin and all these scams, why they are giving power to these "influencers" to earn more money and scam more people?
