Hey call it what you will but modern medicine is very far from perfect and unless this is proven false I will keep in mind.

I think if it comes to it and you really need something doing I doubt what these people offer will be your choice.

Some very good info on root canals.  I can't believe how common this procedure has become and how dangerous it can be.

Looks just like scaremongering to me.

If you go to a dentist they will quite often advise you to have a root canal.

Took me five seconds of reading this article to realise that these people have clearly had shitty dentist, I've had problems with my teeth and not once did any of my dentists recommend a root canal because they actually took the time to look at what was wrong and investigate. I had a shitty dentist before and when we got a new one she was confused as to why I was still having bad teeth despite cleaning them, turns out that I grind in my sleep and ever since I got a night guard my teeth have been fantastic and I just need to keep on top of things now, pisses me off that we didn't find out sooner because I could have saved a tooth that I've had to had a crown on but what the hell that's life and they're apparently learning how to grow new ones now so maybe I'll get a chance to have it replaced.

Don't blame the whole industry for a few crappy dentists who are trying take the easy way out because they won't bother figuring out what's wrong with you and don't listen to morons who don't know anything about medicine that are trying to sell you shit, that goes for doctors in general too, if you're constantly getting a doctor who keeps trying to make you buy drugs for the sake of it and not diagnose you, ditch them.

I know there are natural remedies for cavities, instead of using strong chemicals in your fillings.

A Great Time to Start Something!
By Dr. Lina Garcia

One of the fundamental understandings that supports holistic, biological dentistry is that the dental procedures and materials used in them can affect your whole body, not just your teeth.

In the case of a root canal procedure, it can lead to a number of chronic health problems and even degenerative diseases. Unfortunately, it is very rare for someone in need of dental care to be aware of this.

Although you may be surprised to read this view of root canals, any time the procedure is done there is a real possibility it can endanger your overall health because of the infection and toxicity that can develop in your tooth after the root canal is performed.

The connection between a root canal treated tooth and disease in another area of your body is one the majority of health-care practitioners and their patients are simply unaware of.

The lack of awareness of this connection is puzzling when you consider that in conventional dentistry medicine there is an appreciation of research that has identified a connection between periodontal disease and other health problems, such as heart disease, stroke, respiratory diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis, and difficulties during pregnancy.

Periodontal disease is the general label used to describe chronic infection and/or inflammation of the gums and the supporting structures of the teeth. The American Academy of Periodontology actively seeks to educate the public about research that supports what perceptive dentists inevitably recognize: "Infections in the mouth can play havoc elsewhere in the body."
