Sorry to say but I guess these are the ugliest coins on the forum, I mean from no way these looks like platinum coin. It looks more like "disabled" coins. Even though I know these are platinum coins but every time when I see Satoshi's user and these 5 coins my mind says yes these are "disabled" or "in-active" coins because Satoshi's account is inactive.
Maybe there is the option available when he will come back, the coins will turn into gold coins, right now Satoshi is disabled no doubt 😂

most likely bitcointalk at that time not too many users, and the existing users are also not very active.

because at that time people were not too familiar with bitcoin, many didn't even know.

so the level of communication or discussion in this forum is not as crowded as it is now.

And yes I will leave the thread open so more people can share what they think.
But does it really matter what other members think about this ? Will their opinion satisfy your query ?

We learn everyday from others. There is nothing wrong in asking others to clarify what is a confusion to you. And yes it matters to me what people think about the question I asked. I need their opinions on it. Otherwise I would not have asked it. I need to know and that was why I asked. Please do not spam here with unnecessary posts.

I think I answered but still don't lock the thread, maybe someone e.g. "LoyceV" will give you more info.
If it's not in my post archive, I don't have it. You may be able to find more on sites like archive.org.
I started downloading old posts 2 years ago, and completed it in the months after that. Later on, I shared this data with TryNinja (who has a much cooler searchable database). Any posts that didn't exist anymore at that moment (obviously) couldn't be scraped.

Thank you for your time in giving those examples. But those links are confusing as they show merit page of mine. And yes I will leave the thread open so more people can share what they think. I have discovered that not many people even know of that Satoshi thread. More posts here can lead us to knowing other things too.

The thing is that post is too old, the ninjastic.space only works just few years ago, means that the old posts before the creation of ninjastic.space same with loycev's records are not recorded on their database.

It will be fine if they drop by here and give us their input. Those two are good with data.

That's like, the best Monica for him, say -- he alone is made to bear that on his account, as the FOUNDER and that's desirably fancied by everyone. That, infact - has been made to function as long while ago so; even if we'd dispute to that, it ain't getting revamped.

In every institution, there's always something made to diversify between the hierarchies; some which could be acquired by regular OPs, some which cannot. I think, isn't impossible that we'd have 2 founders right? So that's reserved for SAT alone.
When I got registered in here, I tried as much to self-learn on several facts I could easily ask anyone 'bout, and that, has guided me, some what globally.

I check the topic on ninjastic.space to notice if any post was deleted between the two posts you referred to and I saw none. You can check it yourself using the link below

If theymos will care, it's only him can give clearer answer about this. My assumptions is it just locked then reopen and so on.

Honestly speaking, yes, it's really ugly. I found it also as "disabled" coin but after searching i found out that it is really there as "platinum" for a reason.

Check this.

Founder:   Reserved for Satoshi, gets 5 platinum coins under his name.

In the second picture, the red marked areas indicate dates with big gap between the 3rd and 4th post in that thread. That is between sirius and PrintCoins posts. They are 1 year and 9 months gap between them. Does anyone also know why? Does it mean no other person posted between them until then or there were posts in between them but they got deleted? Was the forum not that active then?

regarding OP's second very interesting questions, I guess posts were not deleted because all posts exists but on different topics, here I found how to confirm this

sirius post # 200 on February 02, 2010

Then from post#201 - 211, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000 - 5000, 10,000, (20000 x), 30,000,40,0000, 50,000, 60,0000  i checked all are posts exist

You can from this using merit link, just change the post id

Post # 201 = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;msg=200
Post # 211 = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;msg=211
Post # 10000 = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;msg=10000
.....
Post # 60000 = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;msg=60000

Until PrintCoins post # 665348 in the welcome thread after sirius post # 200
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;msg=665348

From this I can conclude, no posts were deleted (yeah may be few here and there but no big dump deletion by theymos) and almost all posts exist but on different topics.

You can get the exact post and topic link if you know how to? Don't ask me Smiley

For example

Post #201 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.201
Post # 999 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.999
Post # 30000 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.30000
Post # 60000 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.60000

If I remember correctly, if/when Satoshi returns (as satoshi), his "coins" (on his profile, next to his posts) will become illuminated.

The forum was nowhere near as active in 2009/10 as it is today. I would refer you to the forum stats page.

For example, in November 2009, there were only 37 posts made, and in December 2009, only 44 posts. By comparison, a recent visit to the patrol page shows 200 posts in about an hour and 20 minutes, and that only counts posts made by newbies.

I was not here back then, unfortunately, and I don't know whether theymos has done anything in there (removing posts, changes), but I can speculate.
By looking at ninjastic.space I've seen that "post #3" is the 200th post in the forum and "post #4" is 665348th, so I'll say that people simply didn't care much of the welcome message and just posted in more interesting topics.

Even more, "post #4" is asking about the old forum, hence it's clearly not from the first wave of "welcome aboard" type of posts.

All in all, probably only theymos can answer this; and it's not something really important, I guess... You can pretty much live with "people didn't care to answer to the welcome topic".

If you check Satoshi's topic history and post history, you will know that there are other threads created and some people are also creating their own threads too.

It can happens this time too that a thread can be created, people will post there and stop posting for like months, a year or more than a year before people will continue to post on the thread again.

But Bitcointalk at that time can not be as active as this time.

Best not to lock the thread to see what others will post regarding this.

Yes, Satoshi is the creator of this forum and his coin is different from others and it is named platinum coins, you have already gotten that from the link on the quote of PX-Z post. So you can just lock this thread for people not to use it to spam.

Check this.

Founder:   Reserved for Satoshi, gets 5 platinum coins under his name.

Basically, it is made only for the founder of this forum, means only satoshi can wear it, maybe also as recognition for the creator of this great tech.

Ok, thank you for that. That settles the first question. I never read that part until now. How about the second question. Do you know why there is such wide gap?

Regarding the gap thing, i guess it happens when you hit "enter" or "next line" (for posting) multiple times.

Example...

Edit: i misread about the gap, i guess i cannot make an explanation about that timeframe. Or maybe it was just locked then reopen when lots of members joined? I don't know exactly.

This topic is inspired by the comment I found on
nc50lc's post
that led me to Welcome to the new Bitcoin forum! where I read Satoshi's announcement of the official opening of this forum to the public on November 22, 2009.

Here are my questions and that is the reason for this topic. In the first picture I saw that Satoshi has 5 coins as against the 4 coins assigned to the Senior rank like his. Another thing is that Satoshi's 5 coins are not gold coins like others but silver coloured. What does that mean. Can anyone care to explain that?
