If you want to walk on water, get out of the boat
Why indeed states the uninformed newbie?

I know an individual can. I'm asking if a group can buy half a Bitcoin and split if 4 ways and if so how would we do it?
Huh

You can buy how much you want. I don't see the problem

Its possible to buy even 0.01 BTC (1$)

Yes but lets  say me and a group of people would like to buy 1 Bitcoin. How would we as a group do this and have it evenly divided among us in an automated fashion?

lol Group of 4 people buy BTC 0.25 each, group of 10 people buy BTC 0.1 each, just change the send to wallet address.

Use MtGox or a similar exchange, then buy 0.01 BTC
The exchange will do the hard work.

You are not forced to buy 1 whole BTC.
You can trade smaller parts.

0,00000001 BTC is the smallest Part of Bitcoins.

1 BTC = 1 bitcoin
0.01 BTC = 1 cBTC = 1 centibitcoin (also referred to as bitcent)
0.001 BTC = 1 mBTC = 1 millibitcoin (also referred to as mbit (pronounced em-bit) or millibit or even bitmill)
0.000 001 BTC = 1 μBTC = 1 microbitcoin (also referred to as ubit (pronounced yu-bit) or microbit)
0.000 000 01 BTC = 1 satoshi (pronounced sa-toh-shee)

I would be buying Bitcoins right now if it were easier to buy in portions by groups of people. I think that is the direction we should be going. We should pool out money to buy Bitcoins together and then use an algorithm and software to evenly distribute our portions. This way when Bitcoins reach in the $2000 range per coin we can still spend $50 or so to buy a portion of it.

If you agree with me respond and let's discuss how we can develop this and if it exists already, how can I join the Bitcoin buying pool?

You can buy any fraction of a Bitcoin at most exchanges and changers. Try writing a decimal number in the amount box, or write them a mail with your request.
