Thank for clarifying this issue. most of traders trade on different platforms, perhaps the confusions came from that factor but having someone like to devote some time to make things clear is a truly great thing! I appreciate your time and effort on answering almost every questions we have. your unwavering supports is adorable.

So, I have started as Binance Angel late Dec. and Receiving questions Why Bcash in Binance has a ticker of $BCC instead of $BCH?
Heres why :
Jager (Binance) :
Because when Bcash first came out, it's Ticker was $Bcc.
Binance was the first to support it.
Other exchanges then started adding bcash and hitbtc already had a coin with the bcc Ticker so they named it $bch.
Other exchanges then followed hitbtc and listed as bch.

And traders follow-up question is "Why would they not change it?" and here is our answer :
Jager (Binance) :
it's an extremely complicated process and the following happens during the process:
all trade orders must be cancelled
all trading must be halted
deposits and withdrawals halted
all trade history for old name is lost and there's no trade history for new coin.

It's not as simple as renaming variable.

This apply also to Ethos which ticker is BQX.

So,If you are one of Binance Platform user and you keep this issue on your mind, We hope its clear now.
HAPPY TRADING!!!!
