looks like it's time to make accounts on other trading sites to spread the load. The correction that happened just now made trades resolve very slowly indeed.

a lot of people are currently selling and buying on mtgox but I can't!
15 mins after my order it still wasn't executed (it's a market order), what the hell really? I abandoned and cancelled past 30 minutes, why can't I make orders and others can? Do they have some kind of privilege or what?
Alternatively what do you think of BTC 24, is it more reliable than Mt Gox? I'm sick of being goxxed all the time!

Gox's order lag is spiking due to the heavy volume. https://data.mtgox.com/api/1/generic/order/lag

Not sure why your market order didn't clear though. My guess would be that because of the price change from the time you submitted it to the time it reached the order book your "amount to receive" was higher then the coins were worth.
