I think at the time of your post, BTG itself was still facing network problems, with multiple pools arguing over the correct chains. But as of several days ago, I was freely able to transfer BTG between exchanges and even sites. Most of the BTG exchanges were trading futures, just so you know, meaning they credited BTG to you if you had BTC, but they didn't actually have working wallets (blame the BTG devs for that).

The other way out: sell your BTG for BTC, and transfer that out Wink

I'm looking forward to being able to transfer all of my BTG to an exchange so I can dump the shit out of it, at any price

Any sh*tcoin claiming to be better and faster than bitcoin is telling the truth Cheesy But not necessarily the whole truth. It's possible to be faster and cheaper, It's not possible to be better. When they make up things out of their butts this is inevitable. Also they do this to avoid a sudden dump and the whole market crashing.

Bitcoin gold was listed on yobit.net since the coin was launched but no exchange, no transfer support till yet.
This keeps me compelling to think that this coin is scam and has no future.
Really this should be a lesson to those who are  in rush to degenerate the market of bitcoin by supporting these nonsense forks

I'm trying to move some old BTG around but exchanges aren't allowing transfer of BTG.  In fact, they seem to be singling it out.  Can someone explain why this is turned off?  It's quite bad timing...

On coinmarketcap they are not showing the market cap of BTG either, maybe there still some problems with the coin? I know I am not helping you much mate, but maybe you can follow that trail that I gave

Since a few days there is a market cap of BTG visible in CoinMarketCap and BTG moved from being the currency number 1001 to being in top 10. Again, I am not sure why they were not showing that info from the start

There is no miners support for BTG.That's why,it could not be transferred from one exchange to another. Moreover, its a scam project in which most coins are already premined. This should be a lesson for those people who want to claim free coins even if bitcoin progress gets disturbed.I think more hard forks are yet to come resulting in coins like bitcoin silver, bitcoin diamond. The same would be the case with these coins also.Only BCH survived due to he huge pump by Roger ver.

As I explained in another thread yesterday - the reality of cryptocurrencies is that the miners are the new slavemasters, and investors in cryptocurrencies have no power at all. If you have your money in crytpcurrencies this will happen all the time - when you want to extract your money, suddenly you cannot

you really need to ask the exchanges themselves. or check their website the news section or some call it blog, or their twitter handle.

my guess is that since bitcoin gold had some issues in the early release regarding mining and some bugs were encountered regarding that, the exchanges are waiting a while until these bugs are fixed (which they are last time i checked) and then until the network becomes stable, as in reaching a stable higher hashrate and the risks of things such as double spend and a total wipe out of the blocks are reduced or eliminated.
then they will start enabling deposits with high number of confirmation.
