I also believe that privacy coins have a bright future, like bitcoin and Eth they are decentralized coins and they still have a chance to go up to the highest price again, unlike centralized coins the chances are small because price movements are always stable at fixed prices.

The decentralized based concept is the one I like much to compare to centralize exchange platform.
But the real things is that most of the time the government want to control it as much as they can, that's why they
use a centralized exchange platform to get pull in control of the identity of the people who loved crypto or bitcoin.

And that also to help the government preventing any means of criminality while that's definitely not in my favour I'm not against it at all. You see back then when crypto is still not a thing and people still don't have a clue about this so many criminal activities occured despite the fact that the blockchain is not really private from the public that may lurk as a result is the silkroad case.
Centralized exchange is basically a company seeking for profit and the only way they can do it legitimately is by obeying the regulation from the government and speaking of the truth it is not that all of the people who uses bitcoin want to hide their identity, nowaday people are using it due to convenience and the ability to send money world wide.

The difference between central and decentralized does not only include privacy but also governance. And the combination of these two factors is very important both financially and sociologically.

And I can say absolutely, that's exactly what we need. Because if we want to talk about real freedom and will, decentralization is what we need.
It's kind of funny how brain-washed people are on Bitcointalk. Just because there's a coin that is decentralized -it doesn't meant that the person has freedom.
I don't think that it's funny. People are trying to make money though they don't know how to. It's better to invest in something that is trust-less.

This is what cryptocurrencies were known about back in the day when decentralize was the key word for anyone who joined the Bitcoin movement. Nowadays it seems that bitcoin is still decentralized that wants to move to centralized but we will see what this will end. Be glad we have decentralized exchanges where fees are low and you can actually make a withdrawal without anyone picking at least 2$ from your pocket.
I still remember when in the bull run the fees of withdrawing bitcoin from big exchanges was outrages and no one wants to go back there that's why most of the people are moving into decentralized coins and exchanges.

I am not a fun of Privacy coin but I heard that they are delisted on Okex korea for now following their rule on security feature. This is inevitable if Country with high security will add some barrier but it doesnt mean Privacy coin are not good. Well in fact they are very well protected compared to traditional digital asset. In my opinion, it will be a long debate regarding its ruling out or continue to be traded and hence provision are not yet draft since its still cryptocurrency.

Decentralization who holds the key to the Future of technology in the world that we have today and that is basically because centralisation which is our privacy and also give the government so much control over inventions and other technological things that affects the world but we do centralisation more innovation can be created and people do not necessarily need the intervention of a third party or government before the contract between themselves.

cryptocurrency has already shown that is decentralization can move ahead the only thing that is needed now is pooper adoption of blocking technology the blockchain technology

That has been the intention behind the creation of bitcoin, it we have seen a lot of other coins that have bridged this motive. However, bitcoin as it is cannot be change from being decentralized to a centralized coin and it is already in use by many people. Which then means that, governments and their intention might not be on the winning side, because that is not what the people wanted.

Decentralisation seems to be a mere world in cryptocurrency now. There are many instances of verification needed to access major cryptocurrency platform that eludes the sense of decentralisation intended for cryptocurrency.
The problem is that the world is centralized and satoshi began the push for a decentralized world, and those that are the owners of centralized power do not want to lose it, so as of right now we are facing a fierce battle between centralized and decentralized solutions, it may seem as if we are losing but history shows that decentralized solutions can beat centralized solutions, what we need is time and the will to keep using these solutions even if at the beginning they are not as practical.

I still have big hopes on bitcoin with its decentralization, because we fully know that the centralized system used by banks only makes inflation.

Well, since crypto currency is already decentralized and people already know how is it having their coins decentralized, they will choose it over the centralized ones. This makes them more democratic in nature, and it means that you don’t need to worry about one entity being able to make off with your funds or that the system will be shut down by outside interference. While it can be applied to many different things, the main idea involving all decentralized systems is that they can’t be controlled by any one authority and most prefer it that way cause everyone want it to be the sole custodian of the money they worked for.

I am not fan of anonymous cryptocurrencies. Why? Because simply they can be replaced by second layer solution - for example Lightning Network increases the anonymity of Bitcoin. Secondly, governments will 100% ban pure anonymous coins.
And after the government bans anonymous coins what are they going to do? Identifying the person behind those coins is a real challenge because those coins were specifically designed to protect the identity of the person that owns those coins, governments not too long ago had the same posture with bitcoin and now we are seeing them being more tolerant to it because they know they cannot destroy it and my opinion the same is going to happen with anonymous cryptocurrencies.
Relevantly right, back then the government are haunting people who use bitcoin thinking that money laundering and illegal transactions are being held using this system, but after realizing that it's not just for illegal activities and it can be integrated with real businesses they start to recognized maybe not every government but there's existing countries that do adopt the system. sooner even anonymous coin will also be recognize the same treatment.

this is true. besides, they will want to regulate them, put some kind of control mechanism. That is the reason of recognition, not purely using/adopting them from govenmental aspects. It will be anonymous, they can't and probably won't know what are they dealing with on near future, but it is baby steps for them.

I think the context in their interview is mainly talking about uncontrollable and semi-anonymous. We should understand that a full privacy coin will not have that bright future because it is mainly used by those who are afraid of being tracked(being paranoid) and mostly black marketers. It has been proven in some exchanges, they were delisting privacy based coin from their exchange because of it.

definitely these coins will always be needed as long as there are people who want to be in the shadows. the black market will not disappear anywhere and will continue to use these coins

Yes, true, it is just being needed by someone and not something that has a bright future or we must have.

Not at all, if government would accept crypto currencies, they would do it only if all privacy coins would be banned. Nothing new here, because they are not able to track the users of anonymous crypto and this is the core problem of governments.

Honestly considering the current situation, I do not think that privacy coins will be widely used in the future. If people have a choice to live as they wish, then privacy coins can be widely used.

Why decentralized? The answer is to show us that indeed we can own our details be it financial or otherwise and this is the basis on which privacy coins are built. Yes, I have same belief with you, privacy coins are still and will still be relevant in this space; the current situations can only beat it around but can't entirely lead to its extinction. Talking about decentralization, I think it will be wise for privacy coins to have a dedicated exchange which won't limit their usefulness since most people or exchanges are now seeing it as a threat.

Privacy is one huge factor in the game of cryptocurrency. You remove privacy and perhaps you are already removing one very vital organ of the crypto body. It might end up too vital as to cause crypto's untimely death.

But of course, the privacy that different cryptocurrencies are offering vary in degrees. Monero being the most popular privacy coin. It certainly puts Bitcoin behind it, not even the second in line as there are also other altcoins whose primary feature is privacy. For me, Dash comes second.

I will not side with anyone, government or bitcoin but many possibilities in future can happen in my perspective. It could be that bitcoin would be completely banned and it could be that bitcoin would continue to grow side by side with fiat, this depends on how we make changes now. But I really hope that bitcoin will continue to grow even though possibility is still fifty-fifty.

I believe cryptocurrency will be bright in the future and not just for privacy coins, but if people have to choose privacy, then we will see the new trend will be on the privacy coins. That will make privacy coins will increase in demand because many people will want to buy that coin. But the government cannot control cryptocurrency as they can't stop the cryptocurrency unless they cut off the internet connection, which will impact too many things in our life.

Indeed, any government cannot stop control of crypto. But they were able to freeze all crypto companies like exchanges that were able to knock out all coins. Except they all transact on the darknet.

Although this centralized model has existed for centuries, the idea of a decentralized exchange is new. The concept is only possible with the creation of crypto assets and a transparent, immutable ledger. Using the blockchain to keep track of ownership without a 3rd party, we can create a marketplace for exchanging these assets that operates without permission or oversight.

maybe another reason is about privacy, so i still believe if the future of privacy coins is bright ?
what about you ?

People will definitely choose the currency that the government cannot control, but the question is, do they have the option to do so?  With all these regulation stuff conquering the cryptocurrency industry,  I do not think that cryptocurrency won't be controlled by the government in the future.  Aside from that privacy coins are being monitored and ban from exchanges since the government cannot do anything to track it so they would at least have to stop people transactions and exchanging it (though i believe it will be futile). So for now all I can see is that privacy coins future is kinda dim and will be widely used in the blackmarket instead.
You're right sir maybe today coins will not be control but judging with the situations where in the government is trying to look on coins , and they wan't it to be regulated, when that happens all the coins that will be created will be then need to be approve by the government, some government now is making move's , as an alternative it for the coins not to be controlled by our government that is really i think the way as what you said it will go dark, and will be use , in the black market

If you have read the news about the okex Korea restricting and delisting of the 5 privacy coin included the XMR monero which is a solid one then youre perspective will change. Many people think that some feature of privacy coin such as untraceable address or cannot retract or monitor the sender address or txid is a huge risk concerning the possible using it as a source of illegal or hacking activity.

Privacy means a lot to people especially when it has to do with money.
Don't blame them when they seek decentralized and anonymous system for saving, paying and other related activities.
Also, many people are moving away from the bank because they trust them less. With the way they handle their funds.

Privacy coins are really needed in this space as it brings in more anonymity and privacy to users transactions. Also, I think the future of privacy coins are threatened owing to what Okex did and thus other exchanges might decide to follow suit. What am trying to say is, there is need for plan B and just like someone stated here, there is need for advanced decentralized exchanges which can list these privacy coins thus helping to maintain the reason for their creation.

Inasmuch as centralization is gradually taking turn on decentralization, privacy coin might be close to being forgotten. Its era seems to have gone, because some are now being delisted on reputable exchanges. The fact remains that, a lot is changing and that several coins are either being confirmed or skeptically known to be centralized.

We all like privacy coin Bitcoin or Monero Gold etc types of coin. I want to control my money that's possible in Bitcoin. For all types of transaction, we can use any service in our country but by control of government. Privacy! the reason Bitcoin was banned in some country. So people are more interested in privacy coin.

Sorry but exclude me.  I am not into the privacy coins, because often times this are used to make illegal trades and may affect anyone who uses it.

Do you really believe governments can do anything about anonymous coins or tokens?

Well if you are reading the news.. there are exchanges that are delisting privacy coins.  I think the government have something to do with this due to the money laundering law.

I am not fan of anonymous cryptocurrencies. Why? Because simply they can be replaced by second layer solution - for example Lightning Network increases the anonymity of Bitcoin. Secondly, governments will 100% ban pure anonymous coins.

that sounds a bit funny to me actually. Do you really believe governments can do anything about anonymous coins or tokens? And after lightning network, do you even consider btc will be banned from any first world country or china? i honestly don't think so.

I still think that privacy oriented coins are a serious need here amoung the crypto field. The thing is that decentralization is the highly needed option now, with it we could build amazing base for the futuristic operations m, transfers and also investment asset. Centralization will end soon.

very nice Interview here

maybe another reason is about privacy, so i still believe if the future of privacy coins is bright ?
what about you ?

In as much as I don't want to sound negative but we have to look at the current situation surrounding privacy coins, recently OKEX delisted quite a number of privacy coins. In my own opinion, for the future of privacy coins to be secured, there is need for them to move to decentralized exchange in this way, their core features will be upheld.

All other things being equal, I would rather choose a coin that does not have a single center and, accordingly, its price depends entirely on the market value of the coin and its technology. And no fraudulent actions of developers or regulatory decisions can change the price of such a coin.

There is future to privacy coins but they may only be found on DEX anymore now that several CEX are taking them out in the market. What is surprising is that BTC has plans to become anon coin this could be another blow to the price of BTC later on just to pull its price down to its bare ass.

I like anonymous coins, but maybe their time hasn't come yet. As we can see they are used by a very small number of users.

I like that the blockchain is developing in different directions, but I'm not a fan of privacy coins. I am interested in looking at the adoption of cryptocurrencies by the world, and not at the success of privacy coins.

I can't say a lot about that with the current situation about almost all of the exchange sites are implementing KYC verification and the future of privacy coin is not bright.
Okex korea already started to remove stable coin from its market.
If the regulator will allow that  (privacy coin) to be traded in CEX and that will give the future to the privacy coin.
But this time you must see that from the regulator's perspective.
The regulator has a lot of chance to kill the existence of the privacy coin.
