Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
That is always the mindset of people.
Topics in off topic board does not mean that they are trash.
I visit off-topic to know that it is full of trash posts from shit posters or members that are not ranking at all.

Is that the reason it was not moved to a board that crypto users are visiting than to move it to off-topic where trash posts belong? Even if I am wrong, I do not think moderators did the right thing either.
If you think the moderators did wrong, you can move your topic by yourself. When someone report your thread and it moved to off topic again, it's mean moderators didn't mistakenly move your topic.

Note: There's an user got temporary banned due to moved back his topic for multiple times.
It will remain in off-topic. Why would I move the topic back when moderator moved it. I can not do that.

The Off-topic board is literally described that way:
Quote
Other topics that might be of interest to bitcoiners.
I'd say it belongs there, and not in Bitcoin Discussion which is described as:
Quote
General discussion about the Bitcoin ecosystem that doesn't fit better elsewhere. News, the Bitcoin community, innovations, the general environment, etc. Discussion of specific Bitcoin-related services usually belongs in other sections.
It could fit into off-topic, but you too know that off-topic board is full of trash. Click on the link and check the topic, the only reply that was posted was when the topic was in beginners and help. No reply in off-topic. But you are right and I have nothing to say again. I will lock this topic now.

I reported it because it's out of topic. And since it has been moderated, someone agrees with me.
You guys are killing the beginners and help board.
We're on a bitcoin related forum, we don't care google, lastpass, how to post an image, stuff.

The funny thing is once the topics are moved to the off-topic board, you never see them again ^^.
They have something to say if it's in the B&H board, but not if it's in the off-topic.

It's full of merit whores there by the way.

Who said you off topic board is where trash posts belongs?
The board has the wrong image. I used to think the above is true because Off-topic has a lot of useless topics. I now report them as "insubstantial topic" when I stumble upon them, and usually they get locked. Based on the board's description, the board should be interesting to me. But it's not. I just checked 5 topics, and reported them all. The main problem is that experienced users gave up on the board, and Newbies use to to increase their post count.

Who said you off topic board is where trash posts belongs? The board is specific for discussion which don't have anything related to bitcoin but we can discuss other topics which are of our interest as already shared by @LoyceV above which you can clearly see.

The thing is trash posts don't have any place on forum and moderators simply delete them not move to any other board so your post was not having any discussion about bitcoin related but a general discussion so I don't think they have done anything wrong.

Probably yes, and probably it has the same reasons on other threads that were moved from other boards to the same board (off-topic). Just like the reply above, you can move it again to other board you think it suits and feel free to edit the content or subject for it to not getting moved again to off-topic board.

Simply because it's off topic. It doesn't discuss anything about bitcoin topics or even mentioning that it should be for bitcoin users or so.

I think that is the reason because, the moderators are doing their work to ensure other users will not do the same thing in the forum. Who told you that users don't learn from off-topic or make comments in off-topic, just that any comments or post you make there will not count in your signature campaign.

That is always the mindset of people.
Topics in off topic board does not mean that they are trash. It could mean that thru don't fit the board that they were made and there is no provision for a board that can accommodate such a topic. The moderators will have no option than to move it to off topic.
I have created a post in the off topic section which people contributed to and I even got merited for it.

I think another reason your post is moved to off topic is that it didn't mention bitcoin, although it mentioned coins and also you seriously advertised a particular service there.

The latest update of google 2FA app will let your 2FA to synchronize to google cloud, I am telling bitcoin users that may not want that. I posted it on beginners and help but it was moved to off-topic where useless post is full of.

This is the topic: Google authenticator synchronizing with google online cloud

Does this kind of topic belongs to off-topic?

The majority of the posts in the beginners and help are all about Bitcointalk, Bitcoin, and Cryptocurrency related you have to connect your discussion on these three.

Bitcoin has nothing to with google authenticator, someone can own a Bitcoin without need to use google authenticator.

But such topic is a part of cybersecurity and there's a thread demand for theymos to create a new section for discussing such topic Request: "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board + Poll

If you're not really want your thread moved to off topic, I think it's still fit in serious discussion section.
