Yeah I know their tourney is host by some wpn but still they have thing to connect it with them though. And as you said they only offer small and uninterested tourney? Is this like only freerolls? Does not make sense though because their site is first build and known for their poker games not other games
No, I said that betcoin.ag itself host only very small and uninteresting tournaments. They offer big and interesting tournaments from the Winning Poker Network. Betcoin.ag's cash game traffic is not connected to the Winning Poker Network and therefore very small and interesting (see data from pokerscout.com above).

As you promoted the betcoin.ag scam, you should know what betcoin.ag offer and what not.

And btw you have a red trust too how can people believe you that you are doing the right things here? I know they didnt pay a lot of coin to him but still if some red trust member is always having some issue that they cant even solved
Let us take a look at it:

Quote
[ ]  Negative - You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer.
->  as I never scammed anyone, there is only a strongly believe left. To say I am untrustworthy because someone believes something, is absurd! We have freedom of believe and everyone can believe whatever he likes, as long as he is not violent.

What count is the content of the negative feedback, if it is provable thru and has a relation to the reality. And everyone can see and prove that the negative feedback betcoin.ag has is a fact and criminal offense. This is the difference between the negative feedback given to Game Protect and betcoin.ag scam.

Ask those who joined the pending litigation cases on Game Protect how they can believe that I am doing the right things here.

Betcoin.ag host only very small and uninteresting tournaments. The big tournaments, they are connected to, are hosted by the Winning Poker Network. It is better to play at a WPN skin than betcoin.ag, because then you have also a huge selection of cash games and Sit & Gos.

If you register with Game Protect https://game-protect.com/poker-host-details/ , then you also qualify for our online gaming consumer protection service. Wink

Its not only the bitcoin poker sites which is closing. The whole poker scene is seeing a slow down in players and bitcoin is only a small niche of this department, which means it is much much smaller.

Pokerscout shows the statistics to track history on this.  The market is flat in general and has been for a few years.  Many of the pros now are doing things like streaming on twitch and making more via marketing themselves vs actual game.

Haven't played bitcoin poker for a while, just when I started looking for my old sites they are both closed, I probably even had some chips in there, bitcoin is rising since Trump entered the scene, why are poker sites suffering?

Because the poker boom happened in 2003 and the sites that established themselves in that time are the ones who have survived, due to network effect also.  BTC sites have only been around after 2010 its hard to get a player base.  What we need is for BTC games to run on all sites in BTC.

well yeah but the market is keep changing , take party poker as an example as they were the top site in the world and now they aren't even in top3
and now pokerstars is doing horrible changes and this may change their position

but when it comes to btc  most players are afraid to turn to btc due the price factor , maybe when btc is more steady more players will show interest in btc cause the main problem is the lack of players

Them party poker days were insane, pokerstars was just a small site back then.  The games were so sick people could make several hundred k per year with basic skills.  Problem now is pokerstars have monopoly on the market and they know how to run a business to optimum levels - i dont see anything changing atm.  Maybe decentralized poker somehow with no rake but the fish go to the sites who advertise.

There are lots of popker sites around which are reliable and working perfectly. You should check some that were suggested and also others about which you can read browsing this forum. I'm new to this poker thing and keep being amazed by the amount of different tournaments one can take part in.

Some that were suggested, does not mean that they are reliable and working perfectly. You suggest betcoin.ag with your signature, but they are neither reliable nor working perfectly. You should let the checking to those who have a sound knowledge about these things. Wink

Betcoin.ag is reliable site though for their poker games, dont know about other games like you mentioned on your link there for their slots games. Are they clearing their mess? Giving a big payout really hard to do though even though for big site like them. But if it comes to poker i really think that they have a great support because from the start they mostly focus on poker than other games

No, they continue to lose customers and CUT, CUT, CUT is their new motto. Ask TwitchySeal, there were a lot of complaints about their poker section and traffic is decreasing...

Which customer has interest to play at a site that did not pay a crystal clear won 500 Bitcoins jackpot? Imagine you play a $1 million tournament at WPN, win and then will not receive your prize?

Giving a big payout is only really hard to do, if you embezzled the progressive jackpot contributions!

If you consider 7 Day Avg = 20 players as a "big site", then I do not want to know what you consider as a small site. 5 poker players in average?

24 Hr Peak actually decreased to 55, falling tendency. Betcoin.ag is a good example why bitcoin poker sites keep closing...

May be that is true they did not pay up for their slot games but i think they already pay back what he lost right? Around 1 btc back to him if i not mistaken. Saw their chat somewhere.
It is a fact that they did not pay up for their slot games. Jasonort won a 500 Bicoins jackpot and betcoin.ag did not pay.

Never know that their traffic is really low for now. Last time when i saw their site, they still got 40++ players and they always paying on poker tournament and even host some big tourney too. Still considering their site to play though after that happened

No, poker gives money but it needs to have its traffic I guess, and especially players, but for sure it keep closing because there are much more than poker nowadays where you can have so much fun and at the same time earn too.

Actually what he said is correct. In 2003 in the USA there was a crazy online Poker boom. That's why sites like PokerStars and such have gotten so popular.

I saw a long documentary on Poker and it appears that since online Poker got so popular, at the same time it also become highly competative and very difficult to succeed in.

There were Poker legends who could make millions in Vegas but couldn't make a penny with online poker. Usually with online Poker its the younger crowd and they have gotten very smart.

Massive price drop coming...
The site doesn't make money, so they shut down the service, like luckyflop, satoshiclub

So would you say it's not wise to develop a "poker only" site? Like it would be more ideal to integrate Poker to a big gambling site.
I think for now it is not a good idea it needs a big casino or more games if you start a new business gambling.. you should add more games not only poker.. there is 10table release that i seen in gambling section here that if you register you can count who are gamble that honestly the game will not start because of luck of players..

what site did you played before? i think there are many good site and recommended site to playing poker. its normal if one site is closed and i think its maybe because the site can not reach member or can not make a good profit for them so they close the site. i think poker sites is not suffering but maybe they can compete with other poker sites so they can continue the business.

Poker was forced to leave the US market at this time.
Prior to the seizure, Poker could not legally provide service to U.S. residents, but they continued to for a time because it was profitable and because that law was difficult to enforce with them operating entirely outside the United States. maybe  The company is acquired a European Union gambling not license through Malta.
That could be it but we must also remember that some bitcoin casinos are not regulated at all and we don't know who owns them, so for those casinos regulations and stuff like that are not an impediment.

There is no connection on what you stated that poker sites are suffering because of the price increase that is happening in bitcoin nowadays. In most of the cases, a poker site is sending email for their users about the closure that will happen to the site so that withdrawals may be requested prior to the shutting down. Some are turning to fraud without a notice. And in some cases, problems with traffic, few users, depleted bankroll etc.

If you mentioned those old sites you are talking too then maybe we can get a clearer view about it.

P.S Bitcoin is pricing since the beginning even without Trump entering the scene Cool

Why not just go to pokerstars they have national recogition so you know they won't go down anytime soon.
And with Ronaldo as a mascot you know they have the money to stay and remain online for many years. Wink
Probably this is what is happening, there does not seem to be a lot of point in waiting  for a small tournament to start when on those sites a small tournaments can start in less than a minute thanks to his huge user base.

Launching a gaming site is exponentially more difficult now than before. You have to have a lot of knowledge of the industry as well as deep pockets to get to the point where it is sustainable. Affiliates are more expensive than ever, as well as third party products such as payment gateways, software providers, hosting, DDos protection etc. The monthly minimums on providers can be difficult to keep up with. So, my best guess is lack of funding and knowledge.

Could you maybe recommendate some CryptoCurrency poker sites that offer low tables and are trustworthy?
I just can't seem to find any site at all that are using BTC as main currency..

(with the exclusion of betcoin.ag, that's the only poker site i can find that has people playing, but holy guacamole that site is shady..)

If my memory is correct, then NitrogenSports is the only real option for you. SWC has low traffic (from what I've personally seen) and FortuneJack's lowest blinds are these weird 0.11/0.22 mBTC tables. Since you're looking for low tables, I assume you mean more micro-stakes, but regardless of what level you're at, trying to do math on these tables is absolutely abysmal and a pain in the ass. (Following rates are in mBTC) NS goes from 2 NL, 10 NL, 20 NL, 50 NL, 100 NL, 2/4/10 -- 00 NL (and then there's ridiculously high stakes which I wouldn't recommend)

Avoid Betcoin.ag at all costs, of course.

Can you please specify the Poker Site that keep closing? And also I don't know why you connecting bitcoin rising in what poker site suffered? Anyway this is my answer to your questions : I think the main reason here why poker site suffer because of rising bitcoin price.

I dont agree with you that poker sites are closing because of bitcoin price rising, their is no relation between bitcoin price and poker sites closing, Poker sites are working on person to person playing way where they take some percentage of table. It is only due to some sites are creating their own bot to play against the real player and ripping them and making them lose the bitcoins this way they are scamming that is why their site gets closed

Most bitcoin users aren't interested in poker, it's not a very popular game in the bitcoin gambling world.

However, have you looked at https://swcpoker.eu/? It's a bitcoin poker site that you might want to check out. It's well known, but you'll have to download their client.

I think poker is a famous game in gambler world, but the player want is not the one player poker against computer, they like to play PVP poker, that is why zynga poker used to be very famous, but like others said it is difficult to prevent cheaters when you play PVP games

i think the main reason for it is because playing poker online is not much fun. you are either a professional poker player and really enjoy the game which means you like the face to face better and will only play online if you have to. or you are a newbie who won't have a good time playing against others who are more experienced. this means losing and losing means leaving the game.

Abut bitcoin poker sites dropping from the market - it is only because they have poor user base. Mainly because humongous sites like Pokerstars, Full Tilt, 888poker, iPoker and others.

The userbase is beneficial in one way, though. A lot of bad poker players can be seen in the bitcoin scene - though it may be selection bias - and that could be an advantage to playing in bitcoin poker sites. The skill must be polarized however, having extremely bad players and high-skill players in higher stakes. Perhaps this is what draws more players to the larger competitors.

I assume that serious poker players would rather play on PokerStars with thousands of people at any time, than waste time waiting for table to fill on low populated bitcoin poker site.

Likely, but of course another thing is that some notable examples of bitcoin poker sites (NS, FJ) do not support any HUD (afaik) due to their software.

ACR accepts bitcoin, so there's an option for people who want to deposit/withdraw with it.

Why not just go to pokerstars they have national recogition so you know they won't go down anytime soon.
And with Ronaldo as a mascot you know they have the money to stay and remain online for many years. Wink

Let's not talk about PokerStars and the stupidity that they've done this year. From raising the rake to crappy new "cage" games with a time limit... I think I'd prefer other sites.

(And then of course you have Daniel Negraneau the shillmaster)

Life is a game, you either play it or get played.
Just like with everything online, services recycle themselves enough for the population to occur consistently.

Without question some fly by the night, except many stay during the time new ones pop back up... So to say the BTC gambling industry is dying out, you'd just have to find new terf.

Is this a joke? Lol Trump has only been elected, he isn't even in office yet Roll Eyes

My guess would be definitely because of the rising prices of BTC, as everyone here has pointed out lol. Also don't know what sites you're talking about, your post is very vague.
Trump having significant impact on bitcoin price is nothing more like placebo, nothing has changed so far and I expect that status quo will be preserved for his whole first term.

I have noticed that most of the gamblers on the bitcoin world prefer to play dice or games like that rather than poker, I don't know why that is or even if I’m right in my observations, but if true then that only means there is not a lot of market for casinos specialized on poker.

People who use bitcoins do prefer to play dice and other fast paced games than playing poker. Maybe it is also because gambling at an online poker site is boring and is very slow. There are so few plays you can also do in an online poker game than in a real one. So you can't really truly play poker how it is meant to be played in the real world, if you play it online. I guess that is what's missing.

Is this a joke? Lol Trump has only been elected, he isn't even in office yet Roll Eyes

My guess would be definitely because of the rising prices of BTC, as everyone here has pointed out lol. Also don't know what sites you're talking about, your post is very vague.

Two specific sites I'm talking about, luckyflop.eu and bitspoker.com, I could be wrong but I thought they had enough players to stay afloat. Luckyflop had freerolls every hour, maybe they just couldn't afford it anymore, but bitspoker always had 15-30 players playing cash games, barely any freerolls.

SWC only has 10-30 players and they seem to be doing good still, and they had many legal expenses.

According to this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/luckyflopeu-daily-free-roll-hourly-1mbc-freeroll-50mbc-tourneys-daily-961298 luckyflop closed door without any notification at all, and for bitspoker.com i have found some scam accusations. If you like to play poker feel free to check my signature and play on well known site Wink

I think ultimately the reason is because nobody wants to play Poker online because they don't know if the opponent is cheating in anyway. I know that each hand is unique and its not unlike the real casinos but Poker is generally a game that's best played in a physical casino.

Also the sites you mentioned I think they simply closed down to a lack or funds. They probably didn't have the right campaign for promotion and due to lack of user interest they closed down. They couldn't make too much money because they also had to keep the house edge low and decided it was too much work keeping it running.

I also find some old poker site has been closed, but I can say its not related to Trump at all. Usually the only reasons why the casino owner decides to close his casino are:
  • only popular because of many promotion, and many people abusing it
  • there is no big whale
  • too much promotions, but it doesnt give impact for new gambler amount and income
  • bad management

Bad management is actually the main reason behind the closure of many poker websites. You have to maintain a balance between what people want and at the same time to keep making profit. Undecided

It's not just that, there are quite a lot more reasons why most of these online poker sites all go down. Mainly there are only a few that patronize online poker rooms probably because it's quite hard to play and slow unlike if you play on other casino games. Also, it's not as amusing to play in online poker games than real poker games.

I think so too. Every time I join poker rooms in online casinos it is mostly empty. Most of it is empty. The ones that are filled are the free ones that give away money for winning the whole tournament. It's mostly hourly tournaments where the pot is just a few mbtc. Which is sad to say is boring. The ones that really have a buy is all empty.

What sites are you mentioned about? May be if you can tell us which site, some of us know the answer though but without you telling us the exact site then we dont know anything about it though. But if you said that most of them are close, i can tell you this. Not all people are really attract on poker games, because it really takes time. Although the prize is really good but people enjoy on something fast like dice game or even some slots which have fast cash and fast payout too

We can't really answer you because you didn't tell us what sites are you talking about? There can be several reasons why they are closed, to big competition, maybe someone hack them and steal funds, maybe they run away with money, who knows? I don't see connection between Trump and that.

Maybe you should be more specific. Like which sites are closed and which site did you previously played on. I guess this is because most poker gambling sites don't really get that much patrons into the site. Most people don't like gambling on poker online unlike in real life. There are a lot of aspects missing in online poker than in real life poker, like bluffing. You can't bluff as effective in online poker.

Most bitcoin users aren't interested in poker, it's not a very popular game in the bitcoin gambling world.

However, have you looked at https://swcpoker.eu/? It's a bitcoin poker site that you might want to check out. It's well known, but you'll have to download their client.

they are closing because of too many cheaters
you can't play a freeroll without several accounts belonging to same player or his "friend"
but the main reason would probably be the competition, only the largest ones survive, rest are simply not profitable
and are shutting down

These sites suffer because they don't have enough users playing in their site less players means less money for them. Maybe the owner lost interest on continuing the site that's why they close. Also there's more games to play here than poker.

Yes, OP is missing out to state the examples, moreover I do not find any famous poker sites were closing their services.

Yet, now a days commonly most gamblers prefer lazy and quick games, that might be a prime reason why dice sites are surging up and other logical sites are going down. Probably sports betting are exception here as they are mostly easy and profitable for any gambler.

most of the times whenever a site like these that are running a business close down, is because they couldn't make their business profitable and they were losing money. and the reason for that is mostly because the owners are not experienced enough to do it.

in case of a poker site my guess is that people are not so interested in playing poker "online" because it can easily be cheated and it is no fun playing it online compared to face to face poker.

Wondering the same thing, but I think it is because there is only few bitcoin poker players compared to fiat poker players. What I see, fiat poker sites has more active players than bitcoin poker sites. Seems that it is hard to attract fiat players to move to bitcoin sites. Maybe they are comfortable already with their fiat sites and hard for them to move to somewhere else.

There are still plenty of sites which offer bitcoin poker and it will be hard to find out actual reason behind shutdown of poker sites you are talking about. You can search for alternatives if you like to play and it is always suggested not to left anything in your wallet of your casino if you are not going to play there for long period.

I'm sure that a poker site would close due to many reasons, it's hard to pinpoint when we don't know more.
Let us know the names of these 2 poker sites and there is more than likely a reasonable explanation for why they closed.

There are many reason that a site will be closing.

1st: Out of funds (legit) or They gather enough money to run (scammed)
2nd: Poor security, someone penetrated their system and steal info about there player or much worst, steal money from their wallet.
3rd: DDoS Problems, competitors DDoSed their site. And the site decided to stay down forever. That's why it is down.

But the common thing is they gather enough money to run from you that's why they are closed. So be careful on a site you trust.

I would say there are plenty of factors. But what I think is that as a poker site they should bring on some reward programmes ,special freerolls for specific level users to not only keep the interest of their current users but also to attract some more poker players. Well I don't want to take much of a side of betcoin.ag but they have good poker system with freerolls and rewards and same is for nitrogensports.eu which often rolls out special freerolls. With that much things poker sites who are not able to think of such reward programmes or aren't able to pull much of a profit always lose their interest in running poker site and best example is luckyflop.

betcoin.ag bitcoin poker would have closed as well already, if they would not make $100,000s with not paying progressive Betsoft jackpots.

Their bitcoin poker section itself would be not profitable with the low margin and all the advertisement costs.

Better to name names of those sites that you are referring so that we can figure out and gives our own thoughts about that certain closure of those sites that you have visited. I don't think it has something to do with the Trump administration or if they are living on a certain country that starts to ban online gambling, well who knows.

Well maybe because most gamblers nowadays wants to play i a casino where there are other games to choose to.
If you want to play poker, there are other sites like fortunejack. If you want other games, You can check bitdice by clicking the signature I have. They have other games like dice, slots, etc.
