I think they take these considerations because the human being is always the culprit of their own destruction, most innovations are dedicated to weapons or wars, and to make life easier for people, robots have been created to perform daily tasks, the bad , is that at the moment of integrating artificial intelligence, they can create their own reasoning, and could see the human being as a total threat to the earth, since it is destroyed to create in the innovations of technologies.

I agree human beings always dig their own grave and we can easily say human beings will be the one responsible for the end of world in future. However, if we see the other side, integrating human emotions in robots will make them foolish and power hungry too, at the same time they will have good emotions inherited from humans like empathy, and pity. Robots will be intelligent enough to know that destruction of human beings will lead to betterment of the world in long run but at same time they might also through their emotions understand that killing human beings is wrong and they should help human beings to not to destroy the world by co existing? In both ways, it will turn to a mess lol. So I think it will be a loop hole situation Tongue

Many scientists/technology experts including Elon Musk says artificial intelligence can prove to be fatal. In future if robots/computers become experts and they gain consciousness then they may destroy humanity in order to establish their kind.  Roll Eyes

However, emotions can be both positive and negative. Emotions aren't always greed, arrogance, hunger for power, emotions can also be empathy, happiness and satisfaction from helping.   Cool

Personally I do believe in future, artificial intelligence can reach heights where artificial emotions may be instilled and that robots may think like human beings. But I don't buy that they have to turn evil however there are always chances. They can use their emotions to help humans and make world better. Tongue

Is there some statistics or research that led to this wide accepted conclusion about them turning evil on gaining emotions?
