Now, where is more fun to ask your questions?
You are right in what you think about everyone who asks stupid questions, the answers to which are not only in Google but also in every GPT that literally "tears" all popular ratings and ways of using it.
I think it's a good if people ask more thoughtful questions on this forum. Repeated or spam posts should be deleted. However, directing people to use AI tools like GPT doesn't seem right. This forum is meant for discussing Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. If newcomers with good questions are asked to get answers from AI tools or Google, they might not come back to the forum and might even not fully understand what those AI would explain. But if they get helpful answers from knowledgeable members here, they'll likely return with more questions, keeping the discussion and traffic going
Yes indeed, but to be honest such posts by robertcarylyle is just too of low quality especially since they're similar. If it was just a topic it's not really bad but also I hope this user or any other persons may learn from it. Criticism and corrections are  both important.

I just noticed this recently, and I was about to reply to a new thread, but it got deleted before I could post.

So now, I’m just curious of what’s the reason behind all these repeated questions? Newbies keep asking things they could easily Google, but for some reason, they choose to post on the forum instead. Not to sound too doubtful, but it’s not just one or two threads, I’ve seen several already, and I’m guessing some have been deleted too.

P.S. Mods, feel free to move this thread if it’s not in the right board.
Your thread is in the right board I believe, based on how much I understand, any discussion that concerns this forum and how it can be improved is best suited to be posted here and no where else.

And going to the issue you brought up, first of all, I am tempted to ask how is the subject of this thread related to the message?
But lets not dabble into that, I am good to be plain to you, alot of things we discuss about on this forum can be found else where outside the forum, but yet, we still discuss about them here..
Newbies are free to ask what ever question they want as long as the question makes sense enough to not get deleted by the mods, this is all part of keeping the traffic of the forum following and active.

The difference between asking questions on Google and asking on this forum is that..
On Google: you ask a question, Google brings up different sites that likely have answers to the question you asked, you check one of the sites to find answers to your question, you read and that's all.

On Bitcointalk: you ask a question, you get your answers directly and freshly from users who are online at that moment, you have the opportunity of asking even more questions on that same thread, which later on, the thread can turn into a bigger and deeper discussion of other things related to the question asked, given everyone the opportunity to possibly learn something new from each other.

Now, where is more fun to ask your questions?

Since these topics are being deleted, it is a sign that they are of low quality.
Keep reporting them and when enough accounts are banned, they will stop spamming the forum.

Well, maybe I’m just overthinking it, and these are just ignorant newbies spamming random posts hoping for merits without realizing that dumb posts won’t get them anywhere.

In the case of this user, send reports to the moderators. I reported some of his posts, which were successfully deleted.

Probably account farmers.

Shillers wanting to increase their activities on the forum.

Shitcoin chases trying to calculate bitcoin from the beginning then using it to rush into their so called promising projects.

Just my opinion about those newbies

If that’s how they think, then they’re stuck in the old times. Before, you didn’t need merits to rank up, but now, it’s a requirement.
And about this user "robertcarlyle" as mentioned above, it looks like his efforts failed since he hasn’t received any merits on his posts.

Well, maybe I’m just overthinking it, and these are just ignorant newbies spamming random posts hoping for merits without realizing that dumb posts won’t get them anywhere.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
OP, I think BH board will be fine for the discussion because the newbies in question frequents that board.

Do you mean from this user robertcarylyle or are there other users who keep asking same question just like this user did?

Idk, it looks like just basic questions trying to engage question and answer portion in the forum.
If it was intended to engage question and answer section, it will be fine if done in one thread. But creating different topics for the basic questions will be called spamming and a harmless neutral tag can help in this situation.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
It looks like someone trying to farm an account or perhaps by trying to ask such questions, they could earn some merits.

Honestly, my problem is the people who keep responding to his repetitive and useless questions regardless.

Some of the stupid questions.
If someone in the u.s. bought 1000 usd worth of bitcoin on february 19, 2009, how much would that be worth today??
What if 1000 usd worth of bitcoin were bought on may 16, 2011, how much would it be worth today?
What if 1000 usd worth of bitcoin were bought on may 16, 2011, how much would it be worth today?
If someone bought 1000 usd of bitcoin on January 1, 2011, would it make a huge difference buying on that date vs may 16, 2011 for the same amount? How much would that bitcoin be worth today if bought on January of 2011? 200 million usd or more? How would it make a difference?
