Two possible reasons.

  • Your posts are shit posts and were deleted by moderators. With this reason, you will receive a notification in your inbox for post deletion from moderator.
  • Your posts belong to shit topics which were deleted by moderators. They trash all the topics, include your posts. With this reason, you will not receive any notification from moderator.

I would like to mention one more reason why posts can disappear. This is when a moderator merges consecutive posts from the same user. After merging such posts, the moderator deletes the posts he merged.

I guess the OP is looking for the posts where he posted them, and that's why he doesn't see them, since they have been moved, as Cyrus has said. But when they are moved there is a link on the boards that takes you to them. The other possibility would be that the boards where they have been moved he has them on ignore, although I don't think so because he is a newbie and I don't think he would have just registered to ignore boards.

I have noticed that some interesting posts disappear after a while. Similarly, my own posts have vanished after receiving responses for about two weeks.
Why is that?

Then it is better you increase in your post quality if your post got deleted or vanished as you may you have to go look the way you are posting or is better you go look out how other posting the kind of information they are passing and how they are posting. To survive here you need to dedicate yourself by reading and doing your discovery otherwise whenever you post something that are not relevant they easily got deleted by mode or they can be moved to the right section were your post belongs to.
Some of the newbies complains of their post being deleted without knowing it was their mistake for posting what they shouldn't post at the wrong section.

If I may ask, apart from your own posts, which other interesting posts of others disappeared from the forum? Interesting posts ar not easily deleted, rather they can be moved from one board to the other.

This is the tread you started: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/need-help-with-disappearance-of-funds-5488081
That thread is not deleted and I don't see any deleted posts in your post history.
However, I did move this thread to Meta and the other one to Wallet software just now.

Pay attention to this reply. This should be exactly what happened to you as I have seen that majority of your posts are in the wallet software board. Learn how to search for posts and read the description of every board so that you will be creating topics in only their board of jurisdiction.

Threads move up and down on the board pages based on responses to them. Only threads with most recent replies appear on the first page and in very busy boards the first page changes very often. This could be what you interpreted as a disappearing thread.

This discussion is not about Bitcoin so your topic is on a wrong board. It can be in Reputation board or Beginners & Help board.
