The shampoo is very important because it cleans the hair from sweat and dirt...
if I do not shampoo 1 time in 2 days then my hair feels itchy and oily. Hair is the crown for men or women so treat your hair like your own body.

When I was a kid, I don't use shampoos and it's very smelly.

My teenage years have taught me a lot of things and taking shampoos is very much going to please yourself with his smell and cleaning ability like removing scalps.

I know some of you are going to say "you already made this thread" but that thread had a different OP and questioning, this is pretty straight forward (no melting scalps).

So why do we use shampoo?

Salt and water cant provide full nourishment to the scalp and hair. Shampoos were made to gently clean all the gunk and impurities from your scalp and head. Soap is more damaging to the hair. It is a proven fact that shampoo help improves the health of the hair and provides full nourishment to the hair fibres.

If you stop using shampoo for a longer period of time, your scalp will start to adjust and secrete less oil.

Shampoo is used to wash, disinfect and purify it is true that it pollutes and it is true that there are other products that pollute less and give the same result, natural products but in the end I think it is a personal choice the result counts be clean

Shampoo helps water remove dirt, debris, and odors, such as smoke or sweat effectively. Shampoos can also remove oil. The hair gets its oil from sebaceous glands that secrete oil called sebum, which keeps the hair moisturized

Shampoo is just to clean your hair, just like how we use soap for the skin because it needs different kind of cleanser for hair oil.And it is not recommended to use the Shampoo in daily basis using it twice or thrice a week is the better choice but we should wash the hair with plain water every day multiple times to get good healthy hair.

Shampoo are  purposely used to cleanse the hair and the scalp. It helps to remove foreign particles like dust and excess sebum in the scalp so that the hair will grow faster and in good condition. Also, to get rid of itchiness or dandruff. There are variety of shampoo with different active ingredients and contents. The type of shampoo to be use depends on the type of hair you have and sometimes depends on the specific purpose you have. If you are targeting to get rid of dandruff better to use shampoo with selenium while to get rid of lice must use shampoo containing permethrin. The amount also should be just enough because using alot of shampoo can remove the excessive sebum or the natural oil of your hair which can make your hair frizz, dull and dry and worst case can cause hair loss.

I know some of you are going to say "you already made this thread" but that thread had a different OP and questioning, this is pretty straight forward (no melting scalps).

So why do we use shampoo? I've asked like 20 people this, most peope doesn't have an answer and the ones that do says it's to keep it clean and free from fat (durr it gets fat because your body is addicted to it).
My parents used it on me when I was a baby since then I've been addicted to it, but there are other ways to keep the hair clean. Came up with the idea to use salt water to clean it X times a week.

I've broken my foot so it takes me a long time to make sure my plaster doesn't get wet, showering is a a drag so only been doing it 1-2 times a week, been 5 weeks soon - my hair has obviously been very fat during this time but it's starting to adapt now.
Been using no shampoo for over 1 week now and it looks as good as it does when I use shampoo, next time I shower I may use a little but that will be the last time after that I am going to use only water and salt water when I shower. What do you think?

first of all, it helps dirt and odors which i think are the most important thing to wash out on a regular basis. Oil and sweat can also be removed just by shampoo alone.

Shampoos are needed in order to keep our hair clean.
Our head is a place where a lot of bacteria can be evolved due to the fact that there are a lot of hair there and a lot of sweat comes from it.
Of course we need shampoos because they keep us healthy.

For hygiene of course, there are several other reasons when to use shampoo, if you know what I meant, haha! But hygiene is number 1. If you don't use shampoo, you hair will definitely go dry. Try not to shampoo for a week and you will know what I'm talking about.

Shampoo (or soap) must be used. But you need to use natural shampoo (for example, from coconut oil and other oils with the addition of different infusions). Shampoos that are sold in ordinary stores - they can not be used, it is harmful (like any unnatural cosmetics)

Author, do not use shampoo. This is a conspiracy. Do not brush your teeth, do not. Everyone wants you to think that they need to be cleaned, but no. When you go to the toilet, do not use toilet paper because it is a conspiracy. Everyone wants you to use it, but don’t do it. Also do not eat food. It is full of chemicals that zombie you and turn you into a vegetable. And, most importantly, breathe as little as possible. As much as possible. In the end, harmful compounds are added to the air that is sprayed from aircraft. You do not want to breathe this. Sit only at home and don’t go anywhere, because there is a conspiracy everywhere. They thought they would fool you, but you're smart. Oh yes, disconnect your internet connection. There are a lot of stupid things.

Why not to use shampoo?
It is for keeping your skin clean as there are a lot of toxins getting out of your head and they have to be removed in order to keep the flow on it normal.
Otherwise, you will end up with dermatological diseases.

I've read an article few years ago, that shampoo is not needed.
It's been accepted by modern society as a necessity, but it might not be one.

So, the article explains, that the fat we're washing is good fat which is supposed to keep our hair healthy and clean.
Theory is, that if you don't wash your hair for 2 weeks or so, the fat from the scalp will envelop your hair, and then you just use plain water to rinse off any dirt or smell.
Now, in modern society, it's hard to go 2 weeks without washing your hair, as indeed it gets smelly and you look like a hobo.

But that's the theory. Anyone willing to try it out?
No salt, no chemicals, just plain water.

Some weirdos just rub salt into the scalp because they are afraid to use shampoo because of chemicals... I don't think that shampoos are bad, just don't wash your hair very often especially in hard water. Also, avoid cheap shampoos because they may contain too much plastic and sulfates, that's all.
I wash my hair twice a week and always use a conditioner. Just remember one thing that shampoo is used for cleaning dirt and oil from your scalp and conditioner is used to soften your hair, no secrets here. Here's a good source to read about it.

Dude, did you realize you just necro-ed a 5 years old thread...

Geez, the OP appears to be obsessive. If you don't want to wash your hair, fine. You look very young. Would be a shame to develop dandruff or another scalp condition from bad hygiene. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seborrhoeic_dermatitis

Like I said in your other thread, other options are available. You can try a mix of castile soap, water, baking soda, and olive(or another) oil. All nice and natural ingredients. Your hair will feel like straw afterwards but it will be clean and presentable. Saltwater won't do much for you except for hair that will stand up on its own.

Smell? You do realize that the smell after you shower go away after a couple of hours? I just smelled my hair and it smells fine, doesn't smell "COME HERE GIRLS GET ME" but it doesn't smell like shit either. Smell-less so to speak.

When you're taking a shower before a date or going to bed with your woman it's those hours that matter Wink

here is how my hair looks now, I don't think it's too bad. It will take months for it to get rid of the need for shampoo considering I've used it for 25 years but if it looks like this now it will look awesome in a month. 10 days since I last used shampoo, used salt water yesterday.

It's for the same reason that you wash your hands after you use the bathroom, and other body parts in the shower. Shampoo cleans dirt out of your hair. It's not a conspiracy, that's what it is made for. Shampoo is a relatively recent invention, before it people used soap to clean their hair. Shampoo does the same thing but it is more consistent as soap reacts differently at different temperatures and with different minerals in water. Shampoo also has chemicals that make it foam and smell good. Shampoo definitely isn't necessary, some people think it's a waste of money and poor for your scalp, and there are definitely natural alternatives out there. If you think shampoo is the devil you don't have to use it. However, I haven't heard anyone who uses purely salt water to clean, and if you have no knowledge of the sciences behind cleaning your hair, I suggest you go online and look up some healthier shampoo alternatives.
Google cleaning your water with salt and see results. Also, you shouldn't need 10+ different chemicals to make your hair clean (read the ingridigents)...

I'm guessing you're single. When you want a girlfriend, use shampoo. Tongue
