Yes, big altcoins can also provide big profits, but not as big as new altcoins. getting 2x or 3x profits from big altcoins takes quite a long time, and maybe you have to wait for the bull run that occur every few years. but in the new altcoin you can get 10x profits or even more in a short time and don't need to wait for the bull run.

To search for profits is natural and it is something that all investors do, but where to look for those opportunities is the problem, those that have experimented the ups and downs this market can create, have decided to stick to the best coins on the market, coins like bitcoin, ethereum or solana, but there are many other investors that want to obtain massive profits in a matter of months, and since this is not possible anymore with those coins, they invest in new altcoins thinking this is the road they have to take to achieve the success they want, a mistaken decision but a very common one.

Yes and I think even though we get a pump when we are lucky, it is only temporary but if we buy the right coin, it is a good decision, but when we get caught in a shitcoin, it may be a disaster for us. Well, this is where the project fundamentals speak and are important when we want to accumulate our assets.

Higher risk means high rewards. Lthough I'm not a fan of putting that much to a risky yoken, I still acknowledge those who does. It is either they have high risk appetite or they just believe on things or the project itself, and that simply subjective. If you, yourself, is not on the same mindset then you're free to avoid these tokens 'coz there are other options in the first place in particular with major tokens of the market which are considered to be less risky. My acknowledgement is because I saw some of my friends who earned 200x from a 'trashy' token. However, it won't be a waste if they earned profit from it right? Some tokens are needing years before it blows, although not all, but the chnce would be always there. Also, you won't put that much of money if you don't know what you are engaging yourself with, right?
It is possible but depends on how you view 'quick' and short period of time. If it is 2 months then yes it is possible. Saw this with some meme tokens recently but ofcourse, knowing how those altcoins move in general, increase won't be that long therefore you should know when to pull things out, and that is with urgency if you don't want to suffer from loss. Let's be straight, altcoins are more volatile but still, it means that higher profit is there but obviously, with high risks involved.

the reason is because they want big profits in a short time. if they choose to invest in big altcoins like ETH BNB and SOL it is impossible to get big profits in a short time. In essence, they don't understand the risks of the investments they make and they only see the opportunities for profit that they will get.

I believe that it would be the smartest decision as well, looks like we are going to just get better at it and we should be considering that as the most important one. I believe that people are reacting to it like it is the biggest deal, but it is not that important to find an altcoin to make the most amount of money, I think it is quite fine to just invest into bitcoin and go with that, I think that doesn't really change much of the situation.

I hope that people could change to a point where it is going to be all that complicated, it is a lot better and we should probably just focus on bitcoin as a single coin more than we invest into anything else. I am not saying don't look at alts, just not marry any one of them at all.

Some people get scammed by investing in scam coins and they think that investing in all alt coins is a scam. Investing in trusted alt coins like BnB and Ethereum is risk free. And if we are wrong  If we invest in any scam coins then we will have the risk of losing all our money. Before investing we have to think carefully before investing but we can be successful by investing. Due to our small mistakes while investing all our money will be at risk.

Many have a bad experience with alt coins.  This is because many people invest in scam alt coins instead of investing in trusted alt coins and suffer losses.  Not all alt coins are scams.  Before investing in alt coins, one should know and know well before investing.  Also Ethereum, BnB, solana are not risky to invest in and they are trusted.  Anyone who wants to invest in alt coins can invest in them.  Others cannot be guaranteed.

Likewise with crypto, as time goes on more and more new altcoins will emerge and competition will get tougher. We as investors are required to be careful in investing. My advice is to do research before investing and try to choose the most popular altcoins such as ETH and BNB.

People keep investing in this coins hoping that it might be a profitable asset but they keeps failing, that's why I always say that no matter how promising an altcoin looks, it can never be compared with bitcoin.
They altcoin I can advice people to invest in is those ones following Bitcoin as it keeps pumping up, example of these coin are Ethereum and BNB, these aforementioned coins has shown a high level of appreciation with the help of bitcoin, generally altcoin is just an imitator, people just create this coins to see if it will be liked and circulate as Bitcoin but to no avail. Bitcoin remains the only digital asset that brings joy to the people in a long term.

80% of people that invest in altcoin only do for quick profits or for the reason that they are looking for an alternative to bitcoin since they feel bitcoin is too far gone to invest in.

Whole others are here cause they want diversifying into other crypto which is such a bad idea to me cause having bitcoin is good enough and all other AltCoins are just copy, so why invest in a copy and the original when diversifying should be in other areas or types of asset like properties, stock and bond that would give you a better sence of safety.

I don't know what experience you have with altcoins investment but I can tell you that the best time to hold altcoins is now, sell at peak and wait for the right time. Reason why most people often get rekt by altcoins is buying at the top and holding it into the bear market.

It is like a political party or a sport club thing at this point. Some people go into a community, get friends there, for real there are telegram and discord places for the community of a project to get together and in those places people chat everyday and make friends, and they grow in stature there too because the longer you are there and the more you chat there the more attention you will get and this will make you like the project more.

Now, imagine about a project, some coin somewhere, which has a telegram group where over hundreds of people, maybe thousands, know you and like you and respect you, suddenly it doesn't matter if that project is profitable or not right? This is why it is such a risk, and people just hang onto these projects.

Some people like to invest in new projects. but old altcoins may indeed minimize risk, we know some people prefer to invest in new altcoins for certain reasons. Of course, it is riskier but we see some of the altcoin investors making a profit. Still, it doesn't cover the risks, but everyone who invests in crypto still has to be brave enough to take risks.

Dear, I would not suggest you to invest in any of the altcoin projects but in my view, you are somehow wrong here because not all the altcoins projects are scamming or shit. Although investing in altcoins is very picky part one has to conduct good research before investing in the altcoins if one does not have good information about how to conduct good research one may have to face some problems investing in altcoins I am saying this because some altcoins includes big risk over the investor funds.

Now you may wonder why I am saying you are somehow wrong because Ethereum is also an altcoin along with this Solana is also an altcoin these are strong projects with a strong ecosystem. I'm sure everyone invests in altcoins because there are so many altcoins that have the opportunity to grow and develop in the future. But here we are not here to advise each other, but to share information with each other. and I think Altcoins have given many people a huge advantage. and my advice is to choose old altcoins that have proven capable of surviving and continuing to grow from year to year.

Some of the young people are only in this for meme value, buying meme coins because why not? Bitcoin was the outsider fringe money against the suits for a long time. Not all altcoins lack reputation and reliability.. just look at the top ten altcoins that have proven their success, such as eth, bnb, solana, ada and others. There is no investment that has no risk, so we shouldn't make it look like altcoins are bad investments. There are risks in investing in bitcoin, just like in altcoin. Yes I totally agree with you if you say that ethereum is considered as the most reliable altcoin to invest on, reason is because I have been seen a lot of people investing on ethereum that's to show how trusted and secured it is and is obvious that ethereum has a better future so haven't known this I think I will be investing on ethereum this time.

Most of the altcoins might be like that, but some are trustworthy and have been there for a long time hence, they're considered safer altcoins to invest your money with compared to some altcoins. Some altcoins out there are considered "established" enough.

I think we will all agree if I say that Ethereum is considered a reliable altcoin to invest your money with because it has been the top altcoin for a long time in terms of market cap.

Investors love to gamble therefore, they want to test their luck. There are some investors out there hoping that they might earn huge money if they will invest into altcoins, especially those low market cap ones.

The large number of altcoins that have appeared indicates that crypto is increasingly popular and continues to grow, although on the negative side, competition is getting tougher and more and more projects are failing because they are unable to compete. but you don't need to think about this because all you have to do is do research to find quality projects that are worth investing in.

With the exception of ethereum and some stable coins, I do not really bother to look at altcoins anymore, the time needed just to find a coin that may seem to have some potential is so high, and the potential rewards so low, that I prefer to do something else with my time, I will acknowledge that when I was starting out I was more interested in altcoins, but over the years I have seen thousands of coins disappearing, so I have almost no excitement left in me for altcoins any longer.

I agree that taking risks is something we need to do during altcoin investment, we can't be always right but if we are in profit overall then we are doing a good job. I realize that it is not that easy of a decision to do something like this, and it would require a steel emotional endurance for people who can invest and see their investment go down, but if we can somehow endure it then we can make a profit as well.

Yes there are still some alt coins, from which there is a good chance to earn money.  There is also another special factor that is the price of altcoins, many people are still involved in investing in altcoins due to the low prices. The majority of those who invest in altcoin do so with the mindset of making quick returns on their investment and the expected huge profits returned are expected within a short period which looks much like gambling and that is why, altcoin investment is perceived to be a gamble in some statement because the majority of them I just subject to pump and dump mechanism that affects most of it investors and some are total scams which just promised investors without delivering on they promises.

Just because altcoins are risky, it doesn't mean they don't deserve investments. The market is full of great altcoins and not all of them are bad or scams or cause loss of assets. Besides, even though Bitcoin is the best investment option available in the market, one cannot invest all their capital in it and diversification is the best thing there are trusted altcoins in the market as well like Ethereum.

Every investment comes with it shares of gain and lost the choice of investment is solely dependent on individual it is your decision, altcoin for me now no but however I have friends that does that and the major serious thing I observed is that the are often monitoring the market causing some kind of emotional unrest, some projects has paid out well while some didn't is actually a two way thing loss or gain but however there is not rest of mind. Altcons are not generally bad only when you make a wrong choice of projects that it seems to be bad, but it is not an easy task being certain about a project that has good potential, and sometimes is more like try and error.

I don't list altcoins for people to invest but if they feel like investing then I only give them advice to watch closely because we have lots of wolves in sheep clothing as altcoins. At first they may look promising but after a while, they begin to portray their original form as shitcoins, most especially those short term altcoins. We cannot tell the future and that is why there is a 99% probability that we might fail with our analysis and predictions. So the best way is to stay away or used little amount to invest that won't get you emotional unbalanced if the coin turns out to be a shitcoin.

If you know nothing about risk then you must not be an investors because risk is part of profiting , remember that there are tons of currencies in the market , there are good project that dominate the market, there are slow moving , there are waiting for the jump and there are scam project.

In a market dependent on Altcoin hype, the altcoins that are hyped are very profitable for that time, but it is very difficult to know which coin will ever be hyped because there are thousands of altcoins in the market.  So an altcoin is never a potential or fiduciary coin. Thats why you need to be very careful while Investing in  altcoins rather the Bitcoin because there coins are generally very volatile and it requires a very high skill set to get profits out on your investments.Investing in Bitcoin is pretty easy because it doesn't require much skills as the brokers in the market take care of your investment while protecting theirs.

But while investing in altcoins you need to have a good background as well as good knowledge of the crypto world. Heartbreaks will not be a part of your life if you have a good sense of market research. So first learn then earn.

One thing I always say it do not treat any money on altcoin as investment, rather it’s a gamble and at gambling you will only do use an amount you can afford to lose. There is no other reason to buy Altcoins other than it is more volatile than bitcoin and has a chance to increase higher in price than bitcoin, another reason to buy a particular coin could be for cheap transaction fee and the spend for the transaction to be completed.

I believe that in life, risks is involved in almost every aspect of our life and without taking on risks, we risk being progressive in our life. One of my fav quotes of all time is the one about scared money not making any money. I could remember in the last bull run, majority of my money were in stablecoins because my risk appetite was at an all time low. Did I make money? Obviously not. If anything, I even lost money chasing 20% APY from anchor protocol on Luna ecosystem then using UST.

My primary goal for the current bull is building a portfolio that would consist of BTC, ETH and some promising alts because I feel like that would be where the real winners will be especially in the AI, Depin, RWA categories.

I am not a big fan of altcoins and I don't have them in my portfolio. But I have friends who make good profits from altcoins and I moat times admire them for their courage and determination.

It would have been nice if you categorized the altcoins. For instance, a coin like PEPE is not on the same level as Ethereum or BNB, but both can be called altcoins. So, investing in the top 5 or top 10 altcoins might not be as risky as it is if you invest in random meme coins.

Despite the risk, altcoins still have the ability to do 50x 100x etc which bitcoin might not do for now.

I will not give such an advice but if the person believes in gambling, they can take the risk and could also be successful.

Survival for the fittest is true for all not only altcoin. Even a superior tech and asset class take over bitcoin one day. Altcoin market evolve around the necessity of the community. If you are aware of things like hit or miss, that is what is happening right now. If they happen to invest to an altcoin that suddenly pumped during this bull run, that's it and they are out. Someone who is going to hold it for so long will miss the value of it.

You definitely can't lump all altcoins together.  There's a huge difference between shady here today, gone tomorrow operations versus legit projects trying to solve real-world issues with new technologies. 

Some altcoins seem sketchy, I wont lie and  you've gotta navigate that jungle carefully or risk getting scammed.  But others have real potential as investments - like finding a diamond in the rough! Sure, they tend to be higher risk than more mainstream cryptos.  But with more risk comes more possible rewards right?

I think instead of writing off all altcoins, it pays to do your research.  Find the ones with strong developer teams and backers that are in it for the long haul.  Dogecoin surprised people by sticking around and growing.  And Ethereum gave birth to a whole ecosystem of apps and tokens on its network.  So, If you're willing to dig, there are some exciting altcoin projects with big ideas.

Why? The profit. You can gain lots of profit with altcoins in a short amount of time compared to bitcoin where it is generally recommended to invest in for the long-term. People who are in need of quick profit resorts to altcoin no matter how risky it is. Plus, if you get lucky with an altcoin it generates so much profit especially if you found the altcoin during its early stages.

There is only one reason why people still prefer to invest into Altcoin despite being aware that only very few of Altcoins succeeds amounts pool of hundreds of Altcoin which fails and even if it's successful it can eat up your portfolio anytime like we have seen with Luna and FTX but still people invest into Altcoin only for higher profit. Yes, the profit which one can get from Altcoin is much more than Bitcoin and that's the sole reason why people still risk it all for Altcoin. But, I have stopped thinking like that and majority of my portfolio is covered by Bitcoin.

The reason people still invest in altcoins is because they feel they can get quick profit from altcoins despite how risky altcoins are, and many have lose good amount of money in choosing the altcoins. Even if altcoins are risky to invest it doesn't mean people will not want to invest in it. But it is important when investing in altcoins people should always have in mind to invest with the amount they can afford to lose because it is much risky to expect profits.

Well with a proper due diligence and researched you could break that mindset on investing on some altcoins. Yes bitcoin is good one but if you likely invested on some potential altcoins then you are good to earn more than what can Bitcoin offers. Yes its risky and highly volatile but thats where you need some expertise on timing and execution. Like sell if it hits your target and dont be greedy.

The truth is in the altcoins you are probably going to meet a coin that can reward you massively, that's one major reason people invest in them but the difference is that we only invest (gamble) with what we can afford to lose, so at that we don't long bother whether it works or not but at least out of 10 Altcoins one should at least cover the expenses of the rest and so on.

But mind you, give financial advise is not my thing because if the person fails in anyway it turns out that you will be blamed for that and can even brake relationships so I don't attempt.

I don’t give anyone advice on what to invest and what not to invest on you need do your own personal research in other to be able to make the right choice on what you need to invest on and what you don’t need to invest on.

Personally I have few Altcoin which I have my money invested on and the reason why I choose to invest in them is because I saw something which make them worth my investment like their use case, where they are heading to what can contribute to the value of the coin and the people behind the project and many other things I scan through first before making move on any investment.

AltCoin doesn't sound reputable and reliable because it is like the jungle requiring only the fittest to survive and you must be smart, vigilant and awake in the market if you must not be left heartbroken with its flexibility potnetials to lost of asset funds.
