Better question is, why doesn't bitcointalk upgrade to xenForo?  Scores better than anything else out right now... it doesn't look like it came from the 90's!

Just looked over xenForo and it really is a nice piece of software. I think it's time BT take it up a notch and start using what has already proven itself over the years instead of trying to develop a new piece of software. I mean it's 2012 and this forum uses a thread to document all good trades. Just my opinion though.

I think they are keeping with the opensource tradition.

While planning to develop proprietary software?

Hey everyone!

My first few days experiencing Bitcoin and this forum have been great. I see security issues that everyone else has noticed I'm sure (you'd have to be blind not to), and one of them is with trading.  Why doesn't this forum convert to vBulletin or another paid/reputable forum software that has plugins and addons to enhance security while trading? I know for a fact vB has iTrader and I bet a plugin could be made for it that would work as some sort of escrow system if one has not already been made.

Just a simple question, would love an answer. Smiley
