There's nothing to gain from a 'decentralized blogging system', and I don't think such thing even exists.

BTW, there's nothing decentralized about Steemit...

I agree, don't you guys think it is stupid that they are generating wealth out of nothing? They are just profiting without selling anything.
That is a problem, since these things cost money and really generating coins for blogging or writing doesn't make any sense since no one
is really purchasing the articles.

Probably the same reason that more people don't invest into Crypto, they don't understand it. Bloggers seem to want to install/make a quick word press site, generate some hits, and apply for Google adsense. The later option does not take too much effort in creating, and adsense pays in Fiat for easy transfer too a bank account. Ultimately, I think it comes down to convenience.

But this does not make sense. OP is asking why blockchain writing is posted on medium and not steemit... they are already talking about blockchain why not a decentralised platform?

But you're right I think. You can make more money using traditional medium plus ads than with steemit. Steemit seems a lot of spammers and useless posts. Pretty girl picture = $500. Tech writer =$0.01 haha. So it's not so much about crypto or anything, but revenue. Trust me, pretty girl on Medium = $0.

I do not want to miss any important information in the crypto world anymore. That is why I have gathered a list of major blogs and Youtube Channels over the past days and put them via the RSS feeds into a client. Now I have a valuable collection of information.
What I noticed is that most of the blockchain projects have a blog on Medium.com. Why? Why do not blockchain projects focus on decentralized alternatives such as Steemit? What do you think about that?
