Look close, notice how its all newbies asking those questions. They just want to boost their post counts and ranking without getting banned/posts deleted. Yes it is tiring, the altcoin section suffers the same fate. Probably a lot of bot activity aswell. Can't do much about it though.

I agree with egtrader. Especially this meta section is full of newbies asking why aren't earning any merit. Usually in some broken English. "Why I not get merit for post. I make 3 post and has 0 merit why?"

It is pretty exhausting. I am not even sure why anyone who isn't at least a jr member can start a thread. Or if you want new coin announcements from people who just created an account with their coin's name to be able to post, just require you be jr member or have at least 1 merit to create a new topic. I think that would cut down on some of the more lame stuff.

Ugly truth. I would add to this words that newbies just too lazy to surf the forum and search for all the information in previous topics and comments, so they chose to start a new thread instead; that's why we see all this basic nub topics over and over again.

Maybe the only solution to this problem is to add a new simple rule, which is the newbie member cannot create any topic.

Yeah it might work but this will add another wall for beginners to learn about crypto. I don't think it'll do a better environment for them.
Moreover, this is the main forum for crypto talks. This should be more open for discussions than any webpages out there.

I'd suggest to just ignore such topic to lessen the bulk and to avoid posts deletion. (topic is deleted)

Sometimes the questioner has posted comprehensive replies in previous threads. It's quite clearly a ruse to increase post counts, and to scratch a bit of merit.

Since when did people started to Merit such useless questions/posts that they try to scratch Merits doing it? Its nothing else but mere foolishness and lack of knowledge that drag people into asking all these pointless things in a forum compiled totally with useful information. I sometimes feel pity, mixed with a bit of anger, for those people who waste their own time in posting them and our energy for reading them and then replying them with harsh comments coming out naturally from the inside.

You can always think of new interesting topic and make new thread. That is better then to complain.

You are missing an important point here. All these repetitive questions are not being made a single member. These are posted by different members and it is obvious that every new investor will face some common problems before investing like:

1) Which exchange to choose for investing ?

2) Is it the right time to invest ?

3) Will bitcoin prices increase after my investment or not ?

Very few people want to make the effort to search the answers, most of the people want to be spoon fed and thus you see those questions here regularly.

I think it’s what forum is for, not every question is for everyone. Nevertheless, it is true about repetition of question. Mostly, Newbies do so, I guess. Somebody may think, ‘asking’ is easier than ‘searching’.

Yeah, you're right. Topics who are repeatedly discussed makes me feel irritated because I feel myself like a robot who need to answer the same questions again and again but in different manner only. But in the end, I choose to ignore that because the important thing that matters to me is the fact that I could be able to share some information and give some help to my co-member here in the forum especially to the newbies.

Yes this become a very boring question. Too often i see these types of posts in the forum where the repeated question about Is bitcoin dead? ...Saving bitcoin or Withdraw?...Is bitcoin worth risking your time and money?...Are you holding Bitcoin?
And one new question is added that will bitcoin reach 100,000$.

The first factor is lazy, make this thing over and over again, the same questions.
1. If there's any question in his mind he doesn't have initiative to search it before.
2. Or he just look it easy for raise the rank (and this is the purpose of merit) it just not raise the rank.

You need to understand that a lot of new people have started to invest in bitcoins. It is actually good for the growth of bitcoins if more people are joining but one thing we should tell them beforehand is that bitcoin investment is very risky. They should not invest with the mindset that only profit is the possibility with bitcoin investment.

Well, I see that the majority of  these  shit threads ( like, Bitcoin or Ethereum, Bitcoin or gold..) are created by newbie's  , especially in the section of Bitcoin discussion, trading and gambling , and  after that, those users  disappear.  Therefore, these topics become megathreads, and it is certain that their goal of these shit behaviours is to help the spread of spammers . But thanks to merit system, they cannot rank up easily like before.

Maybe the only solution to this problem is to add a new simple rule, which is the newbie member cannot create any topic.

Most of newbies and low ranks members are writing in these shit topics, Only one thread about this thing is enough, more than that it will be spam. I think, they do that because they want to boost their accounts and reach a certain level. Now, you can see a ton of replies everyday in megathreads topic, you can find that especially in bitcoin discussion or gambling discussion.

That's because most of the people making those threads time and time again probably are in high school, or at the very least if they have to take a basic aptitude test in English they would fail because they're not proficient English speakers. When you can't speak English very well and have little to no knowledge of bitcoin other than the very bare basics of it it makes a recipe for disaster and that's why the same stupid questions keep getting asked over and over again because they don't have the knowledge or capacity to talk about much else.

Everyone can not be sure that they see the same thread. We know that every day there are hundreds of threads created and it makes it hard for many people to be able to find the thread they want. Bitcoin will still exist and we will be able to see Bitcoin as a money that can be used in the future. As a function then I use Bitcoin for various things, everything you say I have done!

This is usually common to newbies or junior members creating repetitive topics which is messing up the forum even campaign managers are complaining, newcomers should be encouraged to properly access the search engine whenever they wants to ask a question and forum moderators should closely monitor these unnecessary creation of new topics.

Though it is quite tiring, still repartition of questions is an indication that lots of people are getting interested towards cyptocurrency world and want to know more about it clearly.
These questions are being asked when the same question is litterly on the first page already. Its just people counting their posts for a higher rank and botspam imo.

Ohh that's so true. People should first search and see if the question they want answer for is already asked or not. Most of the time, almost everything is already asked on the forum. Now I try to sort the posts with newest first to read something new because most of the latest posts threads are repetitive.
