In a world of peaches, don't ask for apple sauce
Moved to Meta.

This is stupid.

The sasha's posts didn't broke any rules.
It been closed maybe because of some users.

So what ? If I want to close a thread I only have to troll with giveaway on it ?

I'm new in this forum, but shouldn't we "punish" the user who violated the rules instead of locking threads?
@mprep, need your answer here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.21410537
From https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.21419821:

The bounty that involved posting low effort responses (possible project names) was posted by sasha35625 in March. It doesn't matter when it was posted, as long as the rule was already in effect (it was).

(also, trying to tag me doesn't work here. It might once the new forum software comes out)

Look like admin don't like Waves.
Don't really have an opinion on it.

There is zero tolerance for those breaking the "no on-forum altcoin giveaways" rule.

It obeyed this rule.
No, it didn't. See above.

Not only waves thread have been locked and there are lots of similar threads which have the same situation too and as being said they do give bounty which is not really appropriate on the said board. This is why mprep do made such action.I think theres no need to create new thread i bet there is already one have been created, just try it to search and regarding giveaways bounties we do have a respective board on that one.

It wasn't closed because the OP ran a bounty in his thread. It was closed because that bounty incentivised posts for a low effort task (essentially a disguised giveaway).

Locking the offender's thread is punishment.

It has been locked because there was a giveaway and this discussion was in 'Annoucement' and not in 'Bounty' thread. If you look at the page before the last one you will see there was a giveaway of coins.
Maybe someone will restart a new discussion.
On-forum altcoin giveaways ANYWHERE are prohibited.

Is it locked permanently? Should we create another thread for Waves discussion?
Yes and yes, as long as it doesn't break the forum's rules.

No it looks like the rules of the forum were broken with a giveaway in the thread and that is not allowed.  Maybe the waves guys should remove all thread giveaways and contact the mods.  I do see they no longer have their signature campaign running now either so who knows whats going on.

Because the announcement thread has violated the guidelines of the forum so was locked by mprep:
" ATTENTION: Due to one of the in-thread bounties accepting entries via this thread (a.k.a. incentivising posting, a.k.a. altcoin giveaway), this thread is locked. There is zero tolerance for those breaking the "no on-forum altcoin giveaways""

This is the right answer , I wonder who did that shit thing to make it be locked.I don't think Sasha would do anything like that.

yes, I think the message from this moderator will answer it. "ATTENTION: Due to one of the in-thread bounties accepting entries via this thread (aka incentivising post, aka altcoin giveaway), this thread is locked. the "no on-forum altcoin giveaways" rule. " I think they violate the rules that have been given a moderator, so that the thread is locked.
