Bitcoin has met various scenario like the current price fall. Before few weeks we were sitting around $375 for a long time, then it grew. So I believe Bitcoin will continue going up.

There are several pillars for bitcoin to grown. Right now i believe the main pillar is the halving which is to be expected to influence the price big time.
But no there is no guarantee.

Never ending parties are what Im into.
We will reach ATH before halving Cool
End of the year we will reach 2-3K
Unfortunately I don't share your optimism however reaching the previous high in my opinion is very possible!
I do not expect a climb to 2-3K, but I'm pretty positive that the bitcoin price will go to at least $600-700 at the end of the year. This ethereum rise will pass in due time, and hopefully bitcoin will catch back up and reward all the bullish investors.

my theory about the bitcoin price rise is that most probably there is going to be a bubble where maybe whales or even another willy bot start pumping bitcoin in which case everybody else will join in an the price will go to the moon.

or if there is no big whale or bot to pump bitcoin, the expectation of the pump which everybody has been talking about since last year will cause a lot of demand which will push the price up and the everybody else would join in and send the price to the moon.

I also feel that the price of bitcoin will be higher again, it is because bitcoin is a technological advancement that is growing, and if one day it was introduced in society, it will be something extraordinary that could increase the price of bitcoin  Smiley

The increase is good for the bitcoin, but we should just wait for the bitcoin till we are really know it, I must say the last time more people are believing in the bitcoin itself because the bitcoin halving is coming and the price is more stable now.
I think we can say we all need to believe in the bitcoin and his price that will go to a high amount.

Because of the stable increase in price than the past days of growth makes me believe Bitcoin will continue going up for a long time.

Nice that you mentioned halving process, it will be very important for bitcoin in 2016,  since it will change price or will create a huge panic for people

yeah i agree, china changed bitcoin's price, but  i don't think that it will reech 2000$ by the end of this year, just not possible

$2000 is just too much, others will look for altcoins if it ever comes to that. Hopefully the halving will bring us to the $800-$1000 range but that's it.

Well I also think the price will increase because the halving is coming and people are believing in it again.
I think the bitcoin has a bright future a head and the most people are thinking the same so we just need to be patient now.

These points look pretty solid. Bitcoin has risen with the stock markets going down, but I think that just didn't do enough. It went up, I think we should all be happy about that. I guess I was just expecting more of bitcoin when I noticed the stock markets going down.

We can expect good price value in bitcoin market, Now the price is going high gradually. If its falls also It will not fall lesser than 400$, Minimum halving range is starting from 400$ only. In this year we gonna see changes like adaption in large numbers and halving.
yes halving block will greatly affect the bitcoin. I hope bitcoin has a price above $ 600. it is not impossible.

It will continue going up, but the question will be stable with that high price. For me I don't think so it will just drop and go up again. I wish in the future we will see a high price that it can be stable for us to just retire when we are old.

Yes Bitcoin will continue to be a rollercoaster. But as long as this is on the way up I'm totally fine with it.Upwards volatility is something beautiful. Smiley

True, I think we should be okay as long as bitcoin grows in value and keeps going up more and less down. It would be a great thing to see something happen like that.
We need the bitcoin market price to climb upwards with a solid support at that price to avoid a major drop again.

Oh he... will you look at that... it's going down. ..
Who on earth expected that...

ooh, I know this! You did! All the way through December, and before that too! Sooner or later - as mind-blowing as it seems - the broken clock had to tell the correct time. And I've got to tell you, I'm shocked, shocked, I tells ye, that the price is going down on a Sunday. Whoda thunk it?

I also hope that, because i am about to invest more of my money into it:)
As always make sure you're not holding all your eggs in one basket and only invest what you can lose. For me right now the best thing to do is keep buying a coin or two every time there has been a significant drop in the prices (like right now). I still can't forgive myself not buying when they were like $2 each though. The worst mistake I have ever made financially.

I think upwards, even after the halving. People keep saying the halving will be priced in well before the event. They said the same leading up to the last halving too. However, the major significant rise came a few months after the actual having when the realization of the decreased supply started to take effect. I think the same will happen this year and the decreased supply will have an even more profound effect.
Do you think the initial reaction upon halving is a huge sell off followed by another slow and gradual growth towards ATH?

Yes sell off and stable prices are usual things in any trading. But I believe the halving storm will swallow all these pitfalls and will take bitcoin prices to new high price levels. Because, new money inflow can do any magic.

Most people here believe the Bitcoin price will continue to go up the comming years. I hope it will continue for plenty of more years of course. Before the block halving will take place, there will be a huge rally that will lead us to what might be a new ATH.

I believe that as long as there is a demand for bitcoin,
bitcoin will continue to go up and grow and evolve.
Day by day there are more people getting into bitcoin
This might seem to be going very slowly, but who wouldn't be careful getting into something like bitcoin.

UP, we're in a bullmarket and halving starts in < half year.

We will reach ATH before halving Cool
End of the year we will reach 2-3K

This is gentlemen.
OK bro, I do hope you're right.  I'm not so sure that the halvening is going to affect the price all that much, unless speculators drive the price up in anticipation.  I mean, it's not news that it's going to happen, so I think it's already been priced in.  We'll see.

it's very simple. bitcoin will go up as long as there is an actual demand for it. and that is exactly the case. people are sick and tired of the governments that are constantly hiding themself behind shady policies to make our life worse. bitcoin is pure freedom. people will slowly start to realize this. i support bitcoin for as long as it exists. i also believe in the long term growth of the price.

Hey guys,

I'm not entirely sure whether the same ideas have already been talked about here or not, but I did some thinking and came to a pretty strong conclusion that BTC will continue going up. How far up? I have no idea. But it's definitely best to hold for now.

Here's why:

First off I have already witnessed a BTC rally two times when China's economy goes into trouble. China has some serious buying power and it will only get bigger (other countries follow) as the whole world enters another recession that could potentially be worse than what we had in 2008!

The block halving is coming somewhere this summer. What this means is that a miner gets rewarded only half of what we're used to after each successful block discovery. At first I thought that perhaps this is the end of BTC as it gets less and less profitable to mine and small time miners just give up, followed by everyone else eventually.

But now I think that the real believers in Bitcoin (the crypto geeks who worship the coin and a monetary revolution) are also the ones who hold the most BTC in stashed away wallets and they're not going to sell them any time soon because that would result in a panic FOLO (Fear Of Losing Out) and BTC would simply wither away and die.

On the other hand if you pump the value of BTC high enough for it to continue being profitable to mine AFTER the halving, it only makes sense that in the long run this is the most profitable decision. So the bear spikes we've seen here and there are only small timers trying to make some money, but the real movers are all holding or better yet, pumping the BTC to help it grow.

On top of that we have BitGold who is giving away their GOLD (considered a safe heaven for many in times of trouble) for BTC. BitGold is definitely seeing a potential in the cryptocurrency and I don't think they're just stupid given that their head CEO is the former owner of PayPal Canada and one of their first investors was the son of George Soros himself.

What do you think?
