Nope. I'll send theymos another message about it shortly.

Edit: It's been unbanned but the posts don't seem to have been restored. Is this a problem?

It seems your account was likely nuked by a malfunctioning bot. I'll contact an admin about it.

Did you hear something about my issue?

You got banned because you didn't capitalize your I.

Do you not consider yourself important enough to capitalize your personal pronoun?

Good news for OP. Bad news for admins = could be an additional work.

Well, I'm curious. Does it really happen? Do you know what events may trigger that malfunctioning bot?
It's a bit alarming for users who doesn't know the rule for a ban, especially those that don't contest on decisions.

I was not even activ in the forum. Therefore i cant be banned for copy&paste posts.

All i did was creating an offer and i got banned the next day. I did nothing wrong.

So guys please tell me. Is it allowed to open a new offer with this account?

I dont think that the responsible admin has time for my old noname account to activate it again if i see other "trusted" member waiting for months for recover their accounts.
I dont need my old account back. All i want to do is creating my offer and make some money.

Hello guys,

I hope that's the right area to ask this question.

Why my account got banned? I already wrote an email to the adress below but no reaction so far.

"Sorry l0st, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: [email protected]"

Is it not allowed to offer Steam money in exchange for BTC / ETH?

Kind regards,
l0st(2)
I think you have copy and pasted some post on this forum that's why you've been banned. If you are breacking the rules you'll be punished. Try to make post in your especial way so that you are not making post that had been posted already nor just quote it.

Maybe use of VPN/ proxy? It seems the forum doesn't like this

This forum is okay with using a vpn. I browse with tor and have not had any problems so far. I see some people can have problems with using a vpn when first signing up but I think that these problems only occur during the sign up phase and only if that ip address has been problematic before.

Never heard about it, the only exception is when registering for the first time you need to pay a small fee if you are using a VPN/TOR.
Mods are aware of the situation, let's wait for the correct answer without further speculation Wink

I don't know why you were banned but attempted scams or offering Steam money (even if it was in the wrong section) aren't going to get you banned.

Hello guys,

I hope that's the right area to ask this question.

Is it not allowed to offer Steam money in exchange for BTC / ETH?

Kind regards,
l0st(2)

If you offer a reversible service for btc/eth then this could lead to a scam especially if you are not a highly trusted member and you aren't using an escrow for guarantee in case of problems.
That's what I could say in general, I am not sure if this applies for steam (using a refund option exists afaik).

Now what you done here is considered as a ban evasion (if you are still banned which seems to be the case), you have the right to post only in the meta section, you should move this topic right now to Meta
Take a look on the bottom of the page, left corner, you will see "move topic lock topic"
Press the move topic button, move it to other/meta and wait for a response from a mod.

I don't think you can get banned for offering a reversible service and being a newbie. That in itself isn't bannable imho.

You don't see scammers banned for actually reversing PayPal lol. He had to do something technical to get banned.

I don't surf much in that area so I don't have too much knowledge apart from getting negative trust from this kind of stuff, i just gave what I think it might be the problem from what I understood from OP, i may be wrong that's why I said "wait for a response from a mod"
I essentially redirected him to meta to avoid being tagged as a ban evasion since apparently he didn't have much knowledge yet.

Well, unfortunately i dont know how to move the thread. Cant find the move option.

I offered Steam (no links at all) for BTC / ETH in the German area "Biete". I think this should be ok(?).

Anyway thanks for your answer Lovecove. I will wait for the responsible user(s).

You can move any Topic you created at the very bottom-left. Button "move topic".

Since i can't find the offered steam in the german area, i think that really might be the problem.

You should post in the Meta forum to discuss this with admins.

Usual culprits for being banned is if you post in the wrong section on purpose and you're new.

It looks like you were offering Steam for alts? If you didn't post that in the Altcoin marketplace, and you posted it somewhere in bitcoin discussion, then that's why you got banned.

Also, if you were trying to sell the Steam by using a link to your personal website: i.e.: Click here to get Steam for Eth.... then that's also against the rules because you're advertising where you can't advertise.

But without knowing more facts about your original account, I can't say for certain why you were banned. You should go to Meta and start a thread there or move this thread there using the Move function.
