I absolutely agree with everything you said, privacy in this forum is 100%, like you don’t really need to know anyone and nobody really needs to know you. This forum have provided an absolutely way that you can get your problems solved. I really have to say that bitcointalk have provided me with plenty of solutions to many problems I have encountered on bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole. So to be sincere this is the best beneficiary forum I have been on for a very long time. So thanks to those member who care to provide solutions and answers to most of our questions.

I am personally happy with this forum and I am glad I met this forum. It is one of the most educative and rewarding forum I have been a member. And it is not strict, respects privacy and freedom of speech. Anyone complaining negative about this forum is either they are out to cheat the forum or they want to cheat on people's intellectual properties or they want a perfect forum, which I believe doesn't exist anywhere . This place is cool and the people I meet everyday here are now like an online family or like colleagues at the work place.

Well there is no perfect privacy anyway since you are registering your email address and logging your IP to the forum. There is no perfect privacy just to correct you there.
Yes, but at least, we don't need to send our real profile name and identity in this forum, no need for KYC to get trust like in other forums. This forum is exactly big, but this also gives everyone in the world to be part of this forum, without difficult requirements. This forum really provides and gives so many positive things, from information, news, project development, discussion, sharing experiences, knowledge with exact sources, project promotions, and also many ways to earn money. However, many projects have been also successful by promoting in this forum, although not all projects were successful but at least many of them are. What we need to do with this forum is that we must honor this forum by contributing positive things, not spamming and making shit posts, not being scammers, not being spammers, and making this forum bad. This forum let us learn many thing, so we must love also this forum with our best contributions.

I've been in the forum since 2017 and I must say that people had changed, but still they were still helpful to anyone that are willing to help newbies although there were some newbies that keeps asking the same question that was already answered many years ago. I would say I kind of getting the StackOverflow vibes here except without downvotes. Smiley

Here, in the Bitcointalk forum, we don't need each other in the reality. This forum really pleases all people from any level to be part of this forum. As long as we all have a willingness to learn and have discussions here, this forum will be really beneficial because we can find out so much news here, from the old to update ones.
This forum is also a lite bit different because besides getting more knowledge here, we can also get more college although we don't know each other, get more friends from any country, promote our projects or services, and also earn money. This is awesome, isn't this?

Related to Bitcoin, this first crypto is always valuable, no matter what FUDs spreading about Bitcoin, no matter negative news is always created to make Bitcoin down, but in fact, this wil be able to rise up again. That is special of Bitcoin with anything probability happens.

Growing up I have always love privacy, I have always done well through privacy more than flowing with the crowd and this have drive my passion to both bitcoin and bitcointalk, since they're both allow me to learn and invest all by myself. With this forum being an anonymous platform I don't need to know anyone or work with a group before getting whatever guidance and correction I need to guide my decision, And Bitcoin on the other hand made my financial life highly anonymous to the core. Thanks Satoshi Nakamoto for this development and for giving us a platform to thrive upon away from the conversational financial system filled with corruption and control.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Not only did this forum provide anonymity where you are free to share your thoughts without being apprehended (as long as you follow the forum rules). This is what Satoshi envisioned- to have a forum where people would continuously discuss and share their thoughts on cryptocurrencies where people would also adapt and create innovations on new altcoins.

Not only did this forum provide such but it also gave us the opportunity to earn our BTCs through various processes and methods.

One advantage of this forum is that forum users are happy to help you find a good solution to your problem; they are willing to take the time and do additional research just to guide you on anything you want without knowing your location. Furthermore, there are specific boards for people who do not understand English (Local Board) to facilitate interactions between forum users who speak the same language. This forum is actually a pleasant place to visit.

In my opinion bitcointalk is the biggest crypto forum in the world. The reason I am saying this is that if one focuses on this forum regularly then he will become proficient in all subjects and use that knowledge to organize his lifeAnd besides it can help the newbies to become more proficient. That's why I love the bitcointalk forum the most. I want to learn more. I hope I can learn one day.
Yeah if your motive here is to learn, I can assure you that you will get the best information here that will transform your life and on this forum, everyone is free to ask whatever question you wish to ask and also make use of the search bottom to see if what you want to ask has been answered before. Over the years I have spent on this forum, my knowledge bank has increased to a significant level that has impacted my everyday life and how I relate.

Bktcointalk is indeed a beautiful community that helps users to grow and learn and the highest reward here is the knowledge that is passed on on daily basis and regards Bitcoin and its related discussions.

I can say you can dig a lot of knowledge in the Bitcointalk forum to deepen investment knowledge, once in a while you can continue the discussion on the Bitcoin Discussion board to get more information about Bitcoin. Your decision to join the Bitcointalk forum is the right one, because here you can get knowledge that you may not get anywhere else. Here you can also ask if there are transactions that have not been confirmed or are still confused in determining the right wallet to use. For more information you can visit this Thread [READ] Post Armory, MultiBit, Electrum, or online wallets in the right forum.
In short this forum is like a school it because here we have our forum mates and they act  as a teachers who teach us everything about bitcoin and other related crypto currencies and all we want to know is in here all we need to do is to study and reading more useful threads and also we have other board here if we need be chill and learn about our society or on your countrymen then we have a board for that.

To be anonymous is what someone has to achieve by oneself. No third party will do it for you. For Satoshi to be Pseudonymous and anonymous at the same time means that he was so careful and cautious of his identity and how to hide it. The bitcoin doesn't not make you anonymous, but you can achieve anonymity with bitcoin by yourself. This forum does not make anyone anonymous but you can be completely anonymous if you want to. We can therefore say that this forum gives some level of freedom. Freedom to chose to be anonymous or not. Even the pm we send are not complete secured and you are advised to encrypt some sensitive information.

I started with Bitcointalk forum to learn more about Bitcoin, and my visit to this forum increased my interest in Bitcoin. I later realized the importance of holding a Bitcoin, and I also learned that Bitcoin does crash like other coins, but if you can hold on to a Bitcoin for a very long time, no matter what it is, you will undoubtedly profit from it. In fact, Bitcointalk was the first cryptocurrency blockchain, and I don't think anything similar happened on the blockchain then. I adore Bitcoin because its inventor designed it with the intention of serving future needs rather than his own interests.

Anonymous platform, are you sure about that?

The forum does not require members to do KYC but it is not an anonymous platform. There are Retention/ Privacy info. Read details.

However, it is not completely private or anonymous. Your account has many factors such as email address, username, password, IP address and more. It starts from an email you use for registration.

At the very least you can make it as anonymous as possible if you know what you're doing, using no-KYC and privacy-friendly email services and using Tor. Most modern platforms don't even work when used with Tor.

right, the most important thing is that you have to know what you have to do to be truly anonymous...

Bitcointalk forum is the first and the biggest crypto forum in the world. Here we can learn and earn a decent amount of passive income by doing signature and bounty campaign. We learn a lot from higher ranked members. Those are the main reasons why I love this forum and Bitcoin is the first and the most popular cryptocurrency ever.

You have got all wrong. From the sociological aspect of life, nobody can live alone and do things alone. You must associate with others for keep warming up the cooling temperature of the body system and also discussion and sharing of information. Someone that always have privacy never developed in the society. That is why there is a popular saying that, "problem shared is a problem solved".  Bitcointalk is not a privacy in development but only in identity so please don't compare yourself to bitcointalk, you people are different in nature and class. Anyone who is avoiding the crowd never developed because the crowd have more information to the individual. Yes you don't need the crowd but you need the public. And remember the crowd and public is the same. But being silent in the public to learn what the crowd is arguing is one of the best strategy to develop oneself.

I love bitcointalk because here everyone is helping to any new users and here are many experts also. And I love Bitcoin because of its features and technology.
You’ve now made 23 posts of similar depth insofar in just over an hour, which is likely going to be seen as serial spamming, and could get your account banned because of it. Consider this a way of helping you out. It’s way better to post less and reflect more upon what one writes, than to go on a posting spree on this sort (I’d also take a read through this post).

With this forum being an anonymous platform

The forum itself is not anonymous since it has the creator known to be Satoshi who remains anonymous while bitcoin maintains it pseudoanonymity, this is how i understand and give my own interpretation from my view.

I don't need to know anyone or work with a group before getting whatever guidance and correction I need to guide my decision

Fine and good the forum is positioned to provide with every bit of information that could be required in dealing with bitcoin but always remember yourself that learning has no end and cannot be underestimated regardless of source, all you need to do is just to maintain been careful not to get the wrong info from a wrong source.

yes bitcointalk forum did not required our full name or full details of or personality. Keeping Anonymous is good enough to used this forum and learn about bitcoins. Also you are correct that what bitcointalk did is what other forum also did.
So if Bitcointalk is anonymity then other are also anonymity.

It is not completely anonymous because your ip and email address is provided when you created an account. As what explained in previous post that Bitcointalk is not completely anonymous as far as I can tell though you are right some point that when you created an account you have a choice not to give your full name and other personal details. Bitcoin is also not anonymous but Pseudoanonymous which means it is not completely anonymous. I'm sure you know that Bitcoin transactions can be traced or tracked.

But isn't it that almost all online forums and also social media platforms don't really require you to provide your real name? Bitcointalk isn't the only forum that allows you to keep a certain level of anonymity. You could also join Bitcoin-related discussions over Reddit and keep your identity to yourself.

To be honest, you are not totally anonymous here since the forum itself has its own admin that will keep all our personal documents, we can be anonymous to the other members but the staff in the forum knows our personal details. However, given that our personal documents are kept safe and we’re being secured, then its just as good that we become anonymous too to the rest of the forum members.

Still bitcointalk has its rules and also staffs who are moderating the contents which doesn't kill the freedom of speech but we can't say the platform is out of control since it has admins and founder. Apart from this you said what are the facts bitcointalk is not only place for Bitcoin but given enough space for all the cryptocurrencies and upcoming projects, market place, etc and importantly it gives access to everyone even who don't write in English can discuss in any language they can.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Bitcointalk use Cloudflare which act as MITM.

no platform is completely anonymous.
and I've checked bitcointalk.org about using Cloudflare's DNS name server which is indicated as a MITM attack

Email forwarding services like AnonAddy or Simplelogin will do the trick by allowing you to create aliases using their public/premium domain or your own custom domain from Namecheap for example.

I always have held the position that anonymity does not exist on any platform in the world, be it crypto currency or banking or any aspect of the world. These is a core reason why theres high demand for vpn; mind you vpn does not hide you either, it simply change your IP locality to an entire world to hide your main location.

When you say btc, every bitcoin transaction can be tracked down, did you see usa recent crack down on tornado cash?

You can see more opinions about the usa ban on tornado cash and what it means for our privacy in cryptocurrency.

The big question now is that, with government trying every means and their possible best to tax crypto currency activities, whats the solution?

I agree with OP, since I have been active on this forum, I love been alone most of the time. This enables you to stay focus to learn, practice and teach in the forum,if not you will not bring out the best in you.
To be anonymous depends on the individual based on your personal reason and mindset. You can choose to be real or fake, it's your choice
Even though the topic is not about the forum, it also relates to it. To be frank with you every member here have experienced the same thing because to stay concentrated and contribute effectively one need to pay full attention and read a lot of comments on the forum and since the forum is also crypt of related mingling with other too much may shift your attention from the forum and thereby lower the quality of your contribution and content on this forum.

Unfortunately, not many countries recognize the existence of Bitcoin legally used as a transaction. Even China has banned all crypto-related transactions. This is because they are incapable of controlling and are considered a threat to their country's currency.  Although I am sure that adoption will continue and bitcoin will continue to grow.
As for making you secret, it's actually not entirely true. All transactions can be viewed. If traced then your identity can be found even though it is quite difficult.  You need crypto exchanges and they need your identity, simple as that.

There is no anonymity. It is being pseudonymous just to correct you there regardless of what social media you register on.
Though if I can recall correctly, there were anonymous posts here wherein users are either deleted or requested to be anonymous for some reason. That was back in the days though.

I agree. A browser and an IP address are not enough to be anonymous. Are all those hackers who break banks and steal large amounts only hiding behind an anonymous browser, Tor, which must be properly configured?

Alas, experienced people know how to do everything carefully, and there is a completely different science.

So if a department is interested in someone, they don't have to look far when people think they're protected by just two changes.

Most likely, this is a pill for your peace of mind, and nothing more.

Uh...bruh that is not what anonymity or pseudonimity is about, and this is a discussion forum so i don't know how it has made you want to avoid company, you don't need the forum to know you need your quiet time sometimes, or to stay focused and learn. What you learn here is about bitcoin and how to keep your data away from bad people that will sell it darknet market, that is pseudonymity and privacy.

Bitcoin is decentralized, not anonymous actually. All of your public data is available in the blockchain. Yea, you can hide your identity if you want through Tor or mixer, but your address shouldn't share anywhere then. You can hide your IP during the transaction if you like. The same goes for the forum. It's traceable unless you use a privacy browser like Tor. Your privacy depends on you how will you handle it.

There is no anonymity. It is being pseudonymous just to correct you there regardless of what social media you register on.
Though if I can recall correctly, there were anonymous posts here wherein users are either deleted or requested to be anonymous for some reason. That was back in the days though.

I don't need to know anyone or work with a group before getting whatever guidance and correction I need to guide my decision,
Just like any other forum you come across, it is basically an environment with free flow of knowledge where users exchange ideas, views and perspective on topics without concern about the identity of other people there and no need to have a personal relationship with someone before you can benefit from their knowledge. Bitcointalk happens to be one of such forums that centers majorly on bitcoin first before other discussions.

You also have to be careful of users opinions here that you consider to shape your personal decisions, because still though it is a forum, not all the advice/opinions you get here is correct, you also owe it to yourself to DYOR.

I agree with OP, since I have been active on this forum, I love been alone most of the time. This enables you to stay focus to learn, practice and teach in the forum,if not you will not bring out the best in you.
To be anonymous depends on the individual based on your personal reason and mindscept. You can choose to be real or fake, its your choice

in my opinion, you can still be anonymous in this forum started by using an email that a privacy focus like protonmail and then using a privacy browser like Tor and by using a VPN provider and surfing in bitcointalk

so pretty much complicated but I think it stay make you anon
In theory you're correct, but in realization you're wrong.

When you're want to register a new account by using protonmail, you wouldn't have a problem. But when you want to use Tor network, you can't create an account since you'll have a trouble when completing the captcha. You can use a secret code only after register your account, not before you want to create account.

Your data will be stored for around 6 months for the full IP and it will deleted after 6 years so if you want become fully anonymous, you need to wait for around 6 years.

As with any other forum, and website it's up to you how private you want to be, i.e the platforms will collect data as pointed out above, but you can provide fake data if you want. Fake/temporary email address, VPN for disguising your IP. So, Bitcointalk doesn't require your actual information, but it does collect information to basically make administration work a little easier.

Most of the internet can be used somewhat anonymously. Obviously, escaping the bigger dogs like Google is a little more difficult, but independent websites are much easier to keep yourself anonymous from.

With this forum being an anonymous platform I don't need to know anyone or work with a group before getting whatever guidance and correction I need to guide my decision, And Bitcoin on the other hand made my financial life highly anonymous to the core.
