Has anyone been fooled by the fact that the OP's intention to post in META with a click-bait title "Re: Why I think Copper Membership is a must buy"
is only for the purpose to get exposure to his signature  "buy my book $75 and Earn $185/day guaranteed" (I don't put a link to his thread as i don't want to bring attention to his "offer").
In my opinion this is likely to be false  advertisement misleading or even low level of scam (as in, you will not be able to earn the $185 advertised).

TMAN  took time to review the offer and decided to pass  on up to  $67 525 / year

OP approached me to offer a vouch for his "system"

I have read the documentation and will make some statements about it..

It isn't a skam but it also isn't innovative,  I don't have the inclination to spend time performing the system myself but I can say that logic dictates it will work.  If you are working at Maccie D's or signing up to bounties all day long, then this might be a winner for you.

I cannot vouch for OP or his own credibility but I can say that if you bought this "system" and followed through then you are highly likely to earn a profit - I cannot guarantee a profit as in life there are many variables but for an entry level idea for non innovative people - then crack on.

Soha, you are not fooling anyone !

I'd like to purchase memberships if they did anything, they don't, as far as I can tell. Maybe if he has levels that exceeded copper one day. And I donate pretty significant amounts of money to a lot of projects all the time, usually open sourced technology at that, but the forum doesn't need money to my knowledge, so just buying the membership for the sake of doing so doesn't really make sense either afaik.

In organizations such as the Bitcointalk Forum, there are creative ideas to make fundraising more attractive. One of them is by making a copper membership, so that more people can become copper members or donors to the Forum.

In this case there are creative event ideas that you apply in your account profile and attract each copper member.
for example:
1. Personal Challenge.
All copper members can create events where each member performs personal challenges according to their preferences. generally used by members and forums.
Code:
Forum.
"If the donations collected reach ..., I will do ..."
Copper member.
"If I buy copper members I can ..., I will do it ..."
2. Birthday Fundraising
In this case the best creative idea that can be used to bring donations and you to the Forum.
The fundraising concept is very simple:
Example:
if all this time we celebrate a birthday for ourselves, this time we celebrate it for others. if previously asked for a gift, the birthday this time actually asks for a gift in the form of donations, which will be given to people in need. for example: copper member with Newbie.

Oh, really, pal.
Can you give me sources of news on the cancel/ restrictions on signature campaign in the USA, please.
I have not seen theymos stated that he entirely restricted signature campaigns in the forum.
It's in early discussion about the solution.
Ya I'm from the United States, the signature campaign was cancelled by the way, wasn't fake. Again I don't give a fuck about that.

There's an expense I can certainly imagine to running such forum, so anything can help the owner so as to keep this as mantained and active as posible. Not taking into account how draining energy it is.

I believe you are right that there are expenses in running this forum, but have you thought that there are paid ads currently running too? I think those are enough or even profitable than the expenses this forum needs.

You have no idea of the finances of this forum

Your “you have no idea of the finances of this forum” was directed to someone who said “there are paid ads currently running” and “I think those are enough or even profitable than the expenses this forum needs”; both are true.

He basically said that the forum doesn’t need extra money.

The forum has at least 500 BTC being escrowed by OgNasty. Not only that, but theymos gets a pretty good amount of money from ad slots (~0.5 to almost 1 BTC per week). If you think over $1.5 million + ~$2-3k a week is not enough, you are dumb.

did you post from the wrong account?

you just made my point against those idiots who dont know what the fuck they are talking about
thanks
How exactly?

As I see it, the only reason to buy a copper membership is to spam the forum without making efforts to learn and contribute. How much effort does it take to become a Junior member? If you don't want to spend the time getting a feel for the temperature of the forum, and to make meaningful contributions, then we should have the ability to ignore the coppers as a group. I would prefer to read posts by the golden new members, and those are the ones to encourage - even if they come from Nigeria. Smiley

A red mark on a internet forum is life changing? get a grip
Easy for you to say.  Then you end up on DT, giving out red trust and start getting PMs like this:

I have two children, should I finance
I will not repeat it
I beg your remove my trust for negative. I will not repeat it
I have no work other than in the forums
I am sorry
Thank you
hello sir, I'm sorry if my post is not good, but I think I will improve the quality of my post and I hope to remove redtrust in my account. because I created a very long account and this account for my work and support my family because my child is still small. so I hope redtrust in my account can be removed. thanks sir Sad

....and so on.  Sure, these people could be totally lying but I don't doubt for a second that in some cases a red trust means a great deal when the consequence is that they get kicked out of whatever campaign they're in.

Yup, some people keep building their accounts for years , trade with that account full time, and once they get tagged, nobody would want to trade with them. unlike you some people do make a living on the internet rather than wasting their time.

If someone is relying on this forum for income they have made some serious mistakes in life.  Also if it was such a big deal they can buy a hero/legendary account for like 100-200 bucks.  As long as your not retarded you won't get caught.

This is a bit off-topic, but that "DT power" is something that tends to get very exaggerated in the minds of those who aren't on DT.

it's true, i only understood this after being put on DT, honestly it's good to know that your feedback are actually being "read" and not sitting in the dark, but it puts a lot of pressure on you, i started to think 10 times before tagging someone, simply because i feel that my feedback could be a life-changing for someone, i was more flexible then, the responsibility is not something one would enjoy most.

Even  people on the Default Trust group get off on having power over others.

Theymos may not be like this but just saying it is a possibility.
This is a bit off-topic, but that "DT power" is something that tends to get very exaggerated in the minds of those who aren't on DT.  If I don't agree with someone--or they lay into me with a barrage of insults or what have you--I can't just leave them a neg for doing that, which is why I haven't tagged trolls like cryptohunter, digaran, and all the other ones who've attacked me.  If they've done something untrustworthy on top of that, then tagging them is definitely indicated.  Other than that, it's more of a responsibility than some intoxicating feeling of power, and ultimately all the power means is that a DT member's feedback carries more weight than a non-DT member's.

I never got the impression that Theymos was a power-tripper.  He mostly stays silent and lets the forum work things out on its own, and he only makes small (but sometimes significant) changes here and there.  That certainly doesn't meet my mental picture of what a power hungry person looks like.  If that were the case, I'd expect to see a lot more censorship and more of his presence at the very least.

I think moderators who get paid for helping keep this place clean would disagree with that statement.  It is quite an achievement what was built here and theymos using advertiser funds to help make this community better well into the future doesn't seem like greed to me.
I was under the impression that mods didn't make much money for their efforts.  I've never heard anyone mention the pay rate (nor do I expect to, as it's none of my business), but in any case I don't think it's a huge expense for the forum.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't say moderators were a huge expense to the forum.  I said they get paid and that I believe they don't think theymos is greedy.

He is probably financially set and has millions upon millions.  You have to be wary of those that seek power though.  Even though this is just an internet forum people love to have control over something.  Reddit moderators that don't get paid love to have that small bit of power of controlling the narrative.  Even  people on the Default Trust group get off on having power over others.

Theymos may not be like this but just saying it is a possibility.

Forum earn more than enough money by selling ad slots and any kind of donations are not really needed. They also have hugenumber of Bitcoins in reserves.
And if Theymos himself says that the forum isn't in need of any more funds, there's no way I'm going to donate.  As much as I'm grateful for bitcointalk being here, there's no use giving someone else your money when they don't need it and you've got no idea how it would be spent anyway.

As far as the copper membership goes, it's a good tollgate for members who want to begin signature campaigns as soon as they join bitcointalk and that's about it, though having some of the other restrictions lifted definitely makes life easier here.  If you're above Newbie rank, I'm not sure why you'd buy one.  I don't see it as any sort of status symbol, just proof that you're willing to throw money away on a title that doesn't give you any benefits you don't already have.  Quickseller was one of the first non-noobs I'd noticed who'd bought a copper membership, and to this day I have no idea why he did that.

I think moderators who get paid for helping keep this place clean would disagree with that statement.  It is quite an achievement what was built here and theymos using advertiser funds to help make this community better well into the future doesn't seem like greed to me.

I wasn't disagreeing with you; I don't think Theymos is greedy either.  I'm actually curious as to how much mods get paid, but I don't expect anyone to answer that, nor am I even asking the question.  I've always suspected it wasn't much and probably got that notion from something someone wrote a long time ago.

Once I considered wheter I need to buy Copper Membership or no. I decided not to buy it. I know that quite many high ranked members have purchased it without any reason. Maybe they bought just to look a bit exceptionally. But in general, it's worth to buy it just if you are low ranked member who want to bypass some restrictions.

There's one only reason you might be Reading this and that is you browsing through this forum. Throughout the years, you may have used it ocassionaly, seldomly, or daily, for such varying reasons as dealing, informing yourself, or for a chit-chat.

There's an expense I can certainly imagine to running such forum, so anything can help the owner so as to keep this as mantained and active as posible. Not taking into account how draining energy it is.

Worth mentioning all benefits it provides for newcomers or even any user in general. Surpassing your newcomer status to member by allowing yourself to post pictures, less time-span limitations, among others.

Not intended to advertised or anything, didn't know where to post really, just wanted to give  aheads up on what I thought about it.
