For people who live in tax systems where every gain and loss must be tracked, using a crypto-token is a nightmare for every day purchases.  But, if you could instantly use a crypto-token, locking in the fiat-purchase price for whatever you buy (and in these cases, it will probably be a large purchase, not a bottle of toothpaste), it makes sense to use some of these tokens for these purchases.  They must have instant transactability, though, and this is rarer than you'd think.

Using gold as an example, I point out that Dash is grabbing attention since it has Instant Send as one of its features.  If I want to buy a large amount of gold and I get a discount for doing so with Dash (like a discount with bitcoin), then this simplifies my tax bill, as I can use the cost of purchasing Dash as the purchase price.
