They are still failing to deliver a product but look what I found in the wild of youtube.

Point? They're no longer selling FPGAs, that vid is old.

The forum owners are to cowardly to ban BFL.

It's not cowardice that's the problem, it's greed.

Shouldn't your post this in Meta?

Just realised. Re-posted it in Meta but unfortunately can't seem to delete this thread.
You can move the thread you started - look in the lower left corner of the screen.
And yes, I don't think this forum should allow further advertising of BFL. With their incompetence, scamminess, and arogance they are doing damage to everyone involved with Bitcoin.

There is more to Bitcoin than bitcoins.

I was assuming there had been some seen in the wild or at ces 2013 but those could be decorated hypothecated rusty FPGA modules as no one has actually seen the chip or the guts of the rigs.

1.5 TH/s Mini rig for around $30k.... really? I've already made up my mind but the moderators would do the community a huge favour by getting rid of their ads if they don't deliver by mid May.

Preferably, also block them and their fake accounts (a quick IP address check would be quite informative) if they continue to refuse refunds after another delay as you are promoting their products regardless if you endorse them or not.

It was an otherwise empty box of fans at CES. The pre-order vaporware product represented at CES is no longer for sale.

I agree. They should receive temporary scammer status at this point.

Similar question: Why is BFL allowed to advertise on Google Ads?

All their ads say "Order now" (instead of "Pre Order now"). They don't have a product (yet) to order. I'd call that a scam.

I understand that there have been some seen in "the wild" but it has been over 6 months since they started to take on pre-orders and they have consistently failed to hit their deadlines. I also understand that getting an Asic to market as a small start-up is difficult but at the very least they could keep their customers in the loop with some updates that aren't fluf.

Pre-order Terms: Bitforce SC (ASIC) products are in final stage development with initial shipping scheduled for the last half of April 2013. Products are shipped according to placement in the order queue, and delivery may take 2 months or more after order. All sales are final.

They had been in "final development" for over 5 months.

However that is not the annoying part as it could take longer to get to market from basic specs and designs to tape-out (which I doubt they passed since they would at least shipped some test modules to disprove the naysayers). What I am annoyed by is the disclaimer where they tell you bluntly that it would probably take another 2 months regardless of the date listed.

I really think that bitcointalk.org should stop assisting a potential huge ongoing scam if there are no confirmed deliveries by mid May.

They raised over 1 million (assuming) for pre-orders; more than enough for the design, extra IP licenses, mask and initial batch.

Either it will be a highly superior product or vaporware... We'll see within a few weeks. However this forum does need to take a stance sooner or later.

It's the circle of life, people preorder from BFL => BFL spends money on advertising to support bitcointalk rather than deliver => more users from bitcointalk preorder from BFL
