Well there might be various reasons. First the news that google is going to ban cryptocurrency ads might be contributing to the drop. There also might be some whales trying to manipulate the price of bitcoins by selling and waiting for btc's price to drop and then they'll buy a huge amount of btc again. Also some fake/half-true news or rumors which gets spread due to media might also add to the drop.
,,, Regarding the google is going to ban  cryptocurrency ads so, I think this is the common cause of dropping the price of cryptocurrency and some other fake news. Actually, this is a normal situation because of changes based on  daily  development of the  environment. But we don't need to be panic because bitcoin is really recover of any  negatives  condition.

Great companies like Google and Twitter made a ban on advertising crypto currency. Some countries are also against bitcoin. And all this at the psychological level affects investors in crypto-currencies. Therefore, the price falls

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. If the google ban had an impact on the price it had to be positive, because a day or 2 after the announcement we were up by $1000.
The price had to fall after the Gox money were sold. It was enough to tip the scales and we needed to find a bottom before going up. It's as simple as that. Now after 600 and another push down that ended above that price at 7200 things are looking great. The buyers are back in.

I think bad news about Bitcoin is currently circulating in the mass media that resulted in falling prices Bitcoin, and the most severe is news from Google about the prohibition of advertising any about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in Google. that's what I think is very influential, so the bitcoin price is down at the moment.

Bitcoin decreases because of the low market. but it also returns when the market rises. depending on the month

one that also affects the market price of bitcoin, but the negative news sentiment about which is associated with bitcoin (example: one country does not recognize bitcoin) is also one that makes the effects of bitcoin down, but usually the bitcoin is used this way and will be stable on time.

Government and big banks against bitcoin.
They pull all the money in the market and lower the price.
Now it is not easy to make money as the old one. Prices are very stable. There is a sharp decline.
The government is the only one responsible for this bad situation.

Partly because governments are fighting against Bitcoin, they do not accept Bitcoin in their country. Bitcoin has been depreciating for the past few months, but today Bitcoin prices have rebounded, although they are quite sensitive coin. But because they change constantly, they have attracted more and more investors. I believe Bitcoin will continue to thrive in the future.

because we also know the virtual currency is fluctuactive and its price can not be ascertained exactly because there are no guidelines that set it so we can not predict it for sure and it's one of the weaknesses and risks of investing with the virtual currency

I found a little bit information about it.

One of the largest exchanges in the world is currently manipulating the market, by pegging Bitcoin’s value to another currency and, therefore, preventing the two markets from resuming their natural growth.

In every varieties of life and things, so as all the works, we always have our ups and downs, and as for bitcoin, it is possible for it to encounter stretches like these too. It may seem that the prices are low, that makes us think the bitcoin is going down and may seem falling and crashing its existence. But no, just like before, from the past years of its living, it may fall its prices but that doesn't mean extincting in this field. May we support its ups and down though, because we are the ones who are the first who could benefit its works and that.

Bitcoin market value is going down mainly because of the FUD and panic that so many people are involved at the moment couple with the bad news from Google.
There are many reasons to  bitcoin get drecreased currently. Especially, the bad news from google possess a lot that cryptocurrency tends to be banned, and I think this news takes a huge impact to all bitcoin users, they feel panic a lot and are going to sell it immediately. Another main reason is whale is gaining profits from bitcoin, whale is buying bitcoin to short it during future. In anyway, there are many reasons why bitcoin get decreased so you’d better have many reason for holding it, I believe that it will recover  soon.

The only solid news I believe capable of impacting the bitcoin prices is about Google banning crypto related ads. This will result in more price drop in future as well.
It is not true to some extent people are trust bitcoin they are confident about bitcoin that someday it will rise again for them, I have strong faith with bitcoin and I know it is not going to be dull. For investors bitcoin is golden investment even now if the price of bitcoin is not very high but people trust that at some point it will increase the I have not find any website about bitcoin on google which says bitcoin is ban by google, some investors sold high amount of bitcoin at panic which made the market a bit down but it will be overcome very soon.

There are many reasons why current prices are declining due to the many negative issues that come out and lowering the interest of investors to invest in crypto and many of them withdraw their assets, perhaps later after the G20 event takes place and get positive results. Crypto prices will begin to stabilize as investors will reinvest in Crypto.

Bitcoin is going down again because it is affected by the news that google and twitter is banning cryptocurrencies. There are also many other contributing factors like those big people who are manipulating the price of bitcoin or those people spreading lies against bitcoin.

There have been many issues relevant to bitcoin these days. To be more specific, they are negative news that affect the butcoin's price. First, remember that google, facebook banned the crypto ads. Second, twitter is following there footstep. Third, those negative people who are contributing to the dropping of bitcoin.

In the US, the dollar is a strong currency. Bitcoin is not a necessity. Many of my fellow Americans only see it as an investment medium; they would never consider using Bitcoin to build a business, as the dollar is more stable and respected world-wide. The number of businesses that accept Bitcoin for payment is steadily growing. Led by global businesses like Overstock, there are now hundreds (if no thousands) of businesses and even more individuals accepting Bitcoin for payment. Even Craigslist is in on the act, with an “Accept Cryptocurrency for payment” check box.

At first, I thought that after the Chinese New Year ended, the rate of the entire cryptocurrencies market would recover. But then again negative news from Facebook banning ads, until the Chinese government banned the cryptocurrencies trading and now the G20 meeting makes the rate of continuous decline rapidly. Hope Q4 2018 cryptos rate will quickly increase.

I wonder why the price of bitcoin going down again even after the chinese holiday. Is it that it has to retrace back all the spike of 2017 or what?
The price falls due to the fact that some people having capital play with the bitcoin price, using mass media, the release of large amounts of bitcoin on the exchange, which increases the "offer" and lowers the price of bitcoin. This is called classical speculation, so do those who do not understand blockchain technology and buy bitcoin only with the goal of buying cheaper and selling more expensive. And those people who buy and use bitcoin in everyday life to settle with other people, store and do not sell it at the first negative news realize all the advantages of bitcoin, believe that it is this real digital gold and believe that technology blockchain in the near future will cover absolutely all areas of our lives.

I think this kind of happenings in bitcoin is normal because as far as I know bitcoin price is unstable so we don't know what gonna happen time by time. All we need to do is to hold on and to wait patiently until it's price will increase because not all the time, bitcoin is always going up.

Bitcoin goes down making people lose pretty much money. Why devalued:
- First: Charlie Lee and Emil Oldenburg Sell all the money when raising prices
- Monday: Investors want to recover capital
- Third: Copper Ripple also depreciated affected Bitcoin
- Fourth: Some South Korean deals collapsed
- Thursday: It has spread the news through the net
Messenger and Facebook affect investor sentiment
- Friday: When CME and BCOE accept bitcoin transactions will be affected due to some regulations ...
This is only temporary. Copper Bitcoin will stabilize and increase as strong as before.

Worrying about the cryptocurrency of the future (digital money), Google decided to block digital money ads on its platform. Previously, Facebook also had a similar step.

Quoted from Tech Crunch on Friday (16/3/2018), tech giant from Uncle Sam's country also participated in the blocking of binary option ads or similar products, as well as digital currencies and content that are still associated with it, such as initial coin offerings and a cryptocurrency purse starting from Bitcoin and his friends

There are shills who promote altcoins. I have seen brain dead shills posting shit across many social media and promoting totally scam shitcoins. They dont care that its a shitcoin or its a scam project. But often legitimate people fall for them especially the newbies who come to the crypto world.
The issue with shit coins and projects which are collecting huge amount of money is the main reason the governments around the world are planning to put regulations and it will affect bitcoin too when it comes to privacy and so on.People who plan on investing must learn about these new projects rather than going for the gamble, thinking about huge profits.

Panic selling is common and people have their emotions too to keep control of. So its not their fault. However the good thing to do at the time of red market is to hold and see or set a stop loss and sell accordingly in a calculated fashion.
I am not a fan of stop loss when it comes to bitcoin, the market could go down sharply but it will recover too in a short period of time, the only thing you can do is to wait for the market to recover and in my past experience as everyone knows, the price always recovers even if it takes some time.

The reason we are crashing right now in my opinion are caused by miners. Miners are clearly manipulating the market. Not whales, tokyo whales, common traders or any FUDs. Miners are using FUD news to dump at every chance. Reason for this? Plain and simple. It hasn't been profitable to mine in the past month. Solution? Simply don't buy. If you need to sell then sell. But let them pump it and dump it on their own. Do not feed them! This is just my opinion. Although in my experience this is very clear are caused by miners. When we stop buying they can pump it themselves and dump it themselves. This will cost them a lot. Eventually market will settle. Have a good Sunday!

The major fall has already passed away and now whatever we are experiencing is the market recovery. Yes, market is in completely ambiguous state where there are people who thinks bitcoin might drop to zero but there also people who are taking the opportunity of investing into the crypto due to its low point. In such instance obviously the market will keep burning badly and will take some more drops and ups over next week or month nobody knowns really. I think this drama will stop soon as the people understand the market is recovering and its better to get in than get out from it. This is what has happened every time we have seen the drop in market. So its better to watch it grow back than panic.

The decline in bitcoin prices at the beginning of the year I think was caused by the large number of ICOs and investors are beginning to switch to the ICO as investors already know the bitcoin market will be saturated several months earlier this year. But, I'm sure sure it will return to the highest price only we are patient and wait for the time to arrive

Because google and facebook blocked all ads of cryptocurrency. That made the market go down dramatically.
This is a very important case and we need to consider buying and selling. I think we should all transfer money to USDT to preserve our property. That's my strategy and I think we should apply it.

I wonder why the price of bitcoin going down again even after the chinese holiday. Is it that it has to retrace back all the spike of 2017 or what?
It might have something to do with the issues of cryptoccurencies on countries which highly affect the demand in the market. Cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin are only dependent with the demand in terms of their value, what happens with the demand will reflect the price of cryptos. Just continue holding on not to make the situation worse. profit will then be earned once the increase start. Just be patient on situations such as this. We should keep in mind that dumps are just temporary.

I think bitcoins price down because of many people sell a bitcoin so if people sell a bitcoin theres many supply of coins but its normal if the price of bitcoin will down and price in the exact time will back normal price so dont be scared about that and continue to hold and wait the exact time to sell..

Yeah and you need to stop shitposting if you want to get rank up at all. Grin Your words make exactly zero sense to me.

I think there has some gambler in crypto market they make news several times that are fully fake and nasty. People believe that kind of news and stop their trading in ctypto market and also sell their BTC. As a result when BTC price down at that time the gambler buy more and more BTC in lowest price.

People don't want to believe this idea but in my opinion, this is due to those market makers (manipulators) who just wanted to buy BTC at the lowest possible price. They literally putting so much pressure in the sell side driving people to panic sell at a loss. We all know that if everyone panic sell, price of any coin or even stocks/commodities will plummet to deeper depths. This is the main target of these market makers and they will just buy all those cheap BTC to prepare for another bull run. This is where they make their money. By spreading fear in the market and getting the most out of this fear.

Those FUD news that we are seeing, I also think they are the ones who fabricated it. Again, to spread uncertainty in market.

From my view, there are  two main reasons about this situation. Bad news and regulations of bitcoin, which leads to the bearish market. Also, in previous time like in year 2017, the bullish market is so crazy and we need to have correction on the market. A lot of money has already out of the market, so we need the new people and new money coming into the market to make the bull again. Before that happens, what we shall do now is hold and wait.

Take your pick :

1. Chinese government regulating exchanges

2. Google banning Crypto advertising

3. The SEC looking into ICOs and probably regulating it

4. Mt Gox trustee selling 40,000+ coins on exchanges and 160,000+ coins still up for sale

5. FUD about Bitcoin all over the place

6. The world economy is struggling

We can go on and on for days but we will never know the real answer, because most trades are done anonymously.  Huh

Well there may be different reasons. To start with the news that google will boycott digital money promotions may add to the drop. There additionally may be a few whales attempting to control the cost of bitcoins by offering and sitting tight at btc's cost to drop and after that they'll purchase a colossal measure of btc once more. Additionally some phony/half-genuine news or gossipy tidbits which gets spread because of media may likewise add to the drop

The decline was due to investors monitoring the warnings from some regulators and increasing crackdowns on the virtual currency market, a sharp drop in bitcoin prices, reaching its lowest point. In addition, the price of ethereum and ripple also decreased significantly.

I think, it is manipulated by some investors. Bitcoin price is not stable and it can be goes down or goes up, but what is the important the most is we can still use it as a legal, btw its not illegal.

The value of bitcoin decreases for a variety of reasons. It is affected by the bad news. The influence of some governments prohibits bitcoin. and many investors have decided to sell it at a relatively low price

I wonder why the price of bitcoin going down again even after the chinese holiday. Is it that it has to retrace back all the spike of 2017 or what?

Bitcoin is naturally volatile and it is greatly influenced by the occurences regardless of it being true or not. Also, market correction is not through yet. I think it will still last a month or two. But let's hope it won't be much longer.

Mt gox is dumping all their bitcoins causing the price to crash heavily, its going to be a long time for the market to recover.

With price back under $8,000 again, it will be difficult to break newly formed resistance levels yet again without any good news.

Because it's March and people tend to be cash poor this time of year. Late spring and early summer will reverse the trend. If the lightening network prevents BTC from backlogging, it will skyrocket past it's ATH.

That's a good point. Chinese New Year and everything else has ended a while ago. But still the value of Bitcoin is falling. I don't find any reason for this. The price has already gone less than $8000. Probably you are right, Bitcoin really is following the path from 2017. God knows what's gonna happen next. It's been very unstable recently.

That maybe true, the things happening in our society might be having an effect to bitcoins price and how investors think about bitcoin.
Maybe there is a correlation of different things to every restart of its cycle. If we observe all of the first few months of every year we can see that bitcoin price is quite low then start to go high when the year is ending.
Maybe ending of the year triggers something in our brain saying that it is good to invest and use our money on anything, leading us to buy more and more.

I wonder why the price of bitcoin going down again even after the chinese holiday. Is it that it has to retrace back all the spike of 2017 or what?

Because China is no longer in play. Haven't you heard that the Chinese exchanges were shut down because they were banned from trading for fiat? As a result some traders moved to Hong Kong and some are probably using Japanese and Korean exchanges, because since that happened the volume in Japan went up by a lot.
BTC is not going down, it's trading between resistances 7-11k with 6 being the bottom. It may take a year before we see another ATH.

Of course it is because of the recent news that are happening and bad news or false news coming out. People panic sell and this actually contributes a lot to the market demand. It's not actually the news that causes it, it's the people who dumps their bitcoin. This actually has a chain reaction because if more and more people dump their bitcoin, price will surely keep on falling and other people will surely panic and sell more of their holdings.

Last night friend of mine ask me similar question and I gave him this answer:
"Do you really believe that jump from $1k to $20k could be corrected with just a shy touch of $6k? It has to tested at least one more time, or even worse. It could go even lower and then it will test that new bottom at least once."
For reference look back at previous market cycle.

As I know it's because of regulating china with exchangers. Hence the result of panic people to sell bitcoins.

So, bitcoins have really dropped.
Hopefully this will be the return of the BTC price

yes it is true but in a few days from now the price of bitcoin is going up again and we know that bitcoin ever is like that.but i believe that this year the price of bitcoin will be higher than last year.
i believe in that case of bitcoin now, there is really time that the price of bitcoin is very low but we all know that this point is...slowly the price is going up now and just keep on earning bitcoin now because later on the price will go up then you can sell your cois in the right price you want to.

I thinks it's because related to the massive selling that stupid Japanese Mt. Gox trustee did in the previous batches that market really surprised and reacts slow to digest. Give it some time.
Without that stupid massive sell happened, Bitcoin will be easily sits at 30K USD right now.
And of course several week hands shutters after that.

Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies trade is not just regular stock trading. There's a lot of manipulating going on. Spreading fake negative news seems to be working to get mainstream investors panicking. Whales pump and dump to bring the price down. Authorities calling for regulations, to stop money laundering they say. All this creates FUD and that is why the price does not increase. But as we've experienced many times before, the price will increase again after a while.

I think the bitcoin going down is a true rule of development for digital money. But bitcoin will increase again in the next few days. Due to the impact of the market economy, many people do not invest in bitcoin. I hope the bitcoin will rise again.

A continuous black propaganda slightly affect the popularity of bitcoin and ICO scamming pulled badly the cryptocurrency legitimacy. I also predict differently after the Chinese holiday, but with much banning of certain sites and hacking incidents have change a lot. But at 8000$ price now proves that the community is holding on and believers staying still.

My feeling is that we need to see Bitcoin going much lower before seeing a positive trend again. New entrants are waiting lower prices while current holders don't see motivated to invest more

Google ban rumor is the main reason for the price fall and it is falling more touched $8000,it needs time to settle down and then only it will recover. It is a great chance again to buy bitcoins for cheaper price,so keep buying bitcoin and make more money.

1.2017 has been huge for Bitcoin. At the start of the year, the currency was trading for about $900 per coin. It bumped along, hitting $1,000 in February, before beginning its huge rally in late November that took it all the way up to $19,000, before crashing back down to $10,000. Following a rally in the last day or two, it’s back up to $15,000.
2) The big question now is what happens next. Bitcoin has done a lot of growing up in the last month, as professional investors have started taking a real interest in the currency. The first few months of 2018 are going to determine whether Bitcoin is a real investment, a viable currency, or a total bust.

3) Where Bitcoin prices go in the short term will largely depend on the regulatory environment. On the plus side for Bitcoin, it’s starting to be traded on traditional markets. Two big exchanges, the CME and CBOE are already offering Bitcoin trading to investors. The system is a little messy — what they’re really offering is futures prices, based on the Bitcoin price averaged from a few big exchanges — but the result is that investors can trade in Bitcoin on a secured, non-hackable, reputable exchange. But at the same time, the main US regulator, the SEC, warned this month that there’s “substantially less investor protection than in our traditional securities markets, with correspondingly greater opportunities for fraud and manipulation.”

4) Investors are also at risk from exchanges collapsing, or being hacked: most hobby speculators store their Bitcoin in a wallet kept with one of the big cryptocurrency exchanges, which makes them accessible to hackers. Bitcoin exchanges have been plundered by hackers in the past, and with the increased value of Bitcoin, you’d imagine it’s just a matter of time until a hack happens.

5) The price of bitcoin is down more than 25 percent from an all-time high of nearly $20,000 reached this past weekend, market data shows.

Prices fell to as low as $14,502 to start today's trading session, according to CoinDesk's Bitcoin Price Index (BPI), about 27 percent from the all-time high of $19,783 reported on Dec. 17.

6)Overall, bitcoin has seen several notable price drops following Sunday's gains, including a dip below $17,000 on Tuesday that accounted for a roughly $1,800 drop on the day. Indeed, analysts have suggested that the price could experience continued volatility as 2017 comes to a close and new money, brought in by bitcoin's meteoric gains, exits for fiat.

Yes, the market today is going down the difficulty, I think these currencies have different links, possibly due to the influence of Bitcoin on the market so many other currencies also fell. Also, in my country, the government is trying to eliminate Bitcoin.

Google banning bitcoins is certainly a disappointing news but they have given some time. Other than this, there has been no valid negative related to bitcoins. I just see fake negative news related to bitcoins being spread everywhere. Some websites are saying that now people are using monero for illegal activities instead of bitcoins and thus the demand has decreased. It is funny in my opinions as earlier people were against bitcoins because it was being used for illegal activities.
