From what I've seen, Coinbase can sometimes get really cautious about security stuff, especially if there's any hint of a hiccup in the transaction. It could be a glitch on their end or maybe some network thing messing up the send. One thing you might try is contacting their support directly.

Those who have used Coinbase will know that contacting them and getting help is difficult and time-consuming. I've been locked out of transactions for 24 hours many times without finding out the exact cause, and I've been trying to contact them for weeks but in the end, they didn't help me. Then I found out that they have a pretty enthusiastic support team on Reddit, and I think the OP should contact them directly on Reddit instead of waiting for them to reply to emails and resolve the issue. But it's important to note that reddit is full of scammers, so you need to be very careful.

In addition, I advise those who are using coinbase to switch to another wallet if they don't want to get into trouble like the OP. Coinbase is actually more frustrating to use than a great experience.

I also faced such a problem. Contacting their support will not help. If you contact the support, they will tell you to update the apps. But updating the apps doesn't solve it.

Later I turned off the wifi option of the mobile and restarted the cellular network and logged in to the app, when I did the transaction using the cellular connection, the error message did not appear.

I don't know if the problem was actually in my network or in their server but this kind of problem is common in coinbase. You could try this procedure if you use coinbase exchange.

Have you tried sending from a different account other than your window? Like if you have a friend who uses Coinbase to know if it is a general issue

Also, you should try sending TRX, and MATIC o your cousin and see if it will go. This is because sometimes a particular network might have some downtime in exchange so deposit and withdrawal may be restricted or affected for some time before it will be verified.

Try these things i have mentioned to avoid you suspiciously closing or restricting your account from other services or entirely from Coinbase.

I typed into the search the answer that you received from support. And if you notice, similar situations often happen in this exchange. First, you should clear all cookies in your browser, update the system, and update the application on your mobile device. A similar story was described, and support offered a solution.

Are you using Coinbase the exchange or Coinbase Wallet. Coinbase’s non-custodial wallet no longer supports XRP and you will have to import your mnemonic into a different wallet to transfer it out. If it is on the Coinbase exchange where you experience this error you will have to contact their customer support. “Network or technical issue” is too vague for anyone on the forum to know exactly how to resolve it.

I have seen people have a similar problem, mostly with ADA withdrawals, so I have a feeling it is network specific.
I did not use Coinbase but the user got this message from Coinbase that signals possible problems and network issue is one of possible reasons.
Reason: Network or other technical issue.
A guide with possible methods to resolve issues.
“Something Went Wrong Error” on Coinbase

Be your own bank, own custodian rather than depending on Coinbase is better.

Try to convert the XRP to another network with cheaper fees like Litecoin and then attempt the transfer again and see if it works.
If the problem persists, I suggest you contact customer support, like the other people who had the same problem did. They may help you out as soon as possible.

Are you using his email, or some kind of tag?
I'm not sure what he's using, but I think it's his Coinbase public XRP address. He isn't very adroit with cryptocurrency. He's even less savvy than I am.

Or he can also ask his nephew to request an XRP address from his Coinbase account, and he should try sending it through there since it's the same exchange. Their system should be able to detect it as an internal transfer, saving him the fee he is trying to avoid.

It already is an internal transfer which resulted in the error message. I think exchanges should have a column after such error messages where users can easily report it to support and have them look directly into the case without having them start a complain and describe the issue.

I suggested using a non-custodial wallet just to confirm that the problem has nothing to do with the account or address he's trying to send to, but rather Coinbase's systems.
If he has a non custodian XRP wallet he can try withdrawing directly to that too, that way he can track the progress and completion of the transaction and then fund the destination coinbase address or the nephew's non custodian wallet.

I thought that's what he meant by saying he tried to send the funds from his Coinbase account to his newphe's account. I suggested using a non-custodial wallet just to confirm that the problem has nothing to do with the account or address he's trying to send to, but rather Coinbase's systems.

Does Coinbase have a feature to send from one account or another? Are you using his email, or some kind of tag? If so, and although I doubt this would work you can try is to send to a non-custodial wallet of his, and see if that works or changes anything.

But I will also advise the Op to Check support that maybe there is something he is not doing right that might be leading to the transaction failure.

According to this [1] all operations seem to be normal. So if the above doesn't work, your only hope would be to contact them

I've been trying to send my XRP from my Coinbase account to my nephew's Coinbase account for the past 3 days. Every attempt to do so has failed. They even disabled sends for 24 hours for "my security".

I tried again this morning, after the 24-hour ban expired, and I continue to get the following error message in my email:

Your attempt to send 23.1243 XRP was unsuccessful. Your funds are safe and have been returned to your XRP balance. You can try sending again below. Reason: Network or other technical issue.

When I "try sending again", the same thing happens. So, at this point, I'm done messing around with it because I don't want another 24-hour ban.

Anyone know what's going on?

FYI: I'm sending the crypto from my desktop (Windows) to my nephew's iphone. I sent only a small amount of XRP as a test.
