Price always gets pump and dump. At this time it's possible cryptocurrency investors are focusing on investing in bitcoins. So effect on dumped altcoin. This a trend and for trader make potential loophole to earn a bigger profit.
are you new on the crypto world ? altcoin dumping is not something new, thats how coin works, the coin is move from weak hand to strong and believer hand, if you can not hold alt coin for long term dont do it, you will be bankrupt soon. DO the Research before investing in some alt coin !!!
i think we just need a bit time before all the money flows into the most altscoins
Why dumping? You are looking on the wrong alts 
Look at XCP, MCO, DNT, BNB, ICN, ZRX. They will shine in nearest days

When bitcoin has chance to raise in value, people don't want to lose that chance and dump their coins to guy some bitcoins (to dump later again for alts)
I think becuase everything are dumping now is they want to buy BITCOIN because it will pump this week. Simple strategy of trader selling their altcoins to buy bitcoin (so altcoins will dump then bitcoin will pump) just a vice versa. Selling their bitcoin after the pump and buying altcoin when it dumps. This is my favourite things that always happening in crypto
btc is raising.it will be the main reason for dumping.BCC also raising.
No matter why most important thing we need to do stay calm and don't panic. Tide will turn soon and pumps will start. Just try to buy some coins when they reach the bottom and you will benefit from this up and down trend.
So i always pay attention to bitcoin and altcoin, if bitcoin pump altcoin starts to happen slowly dump and when bitcoin stabilized altcoin start stable, otherwise if bitcoin occurs dump then altcoin dump is very far and if we notice altcoin will be stable bit long if stable bitcoin eat at least 1 week For stable altcoin 
Yeah it seems alts depends on bitcoin performance. It will be much better if we should have alts and btc together to both get the benefits when one pumps.

Well I don't think bitcoin has got to do anything with the altcoins pumping process. It might be just investors like us who are getting attracted to sone xyz ICO or may be investing into specific coin so as to other coins are getting disturbed. However, I always see this as new opportunity to invest into those coins which future of the big profits!

They sold their altcoins to buy BCC. The alt will be back to da moon soon.
Yes I think so many players in the altcoin market are selling their coins and glancing at bcc, and bcc seems to start to exist and back up after a few weeks ago the price fell.
Because Bitcoin Rising and other side BCC also rising
It happens because of BTC pumping hard this past few days. Peoole might be selling their alts in a hurry in exchange of btc because of this. But I have also observe that even alts are showing to dump on exchangers some of them when I check price (USD) on coinmarketcap its price still goes up compare of yesterday's. Thae eth for example last time I check its 285$ and now around 290$ but on exchangers it has negative percentage and price against btc going down.

I think this main reason is Bitcoin is suddenly huge raising that's why alt coin market is huge dump.I hope after one week alt coin is pumping.
Did you also realize that when a lot of coins are being dumped, some for example bitcoin cash are pumped? No one can some coins to pump forever.
First, because of the huge BCH pump going on.
Second, because most of the alts have already been pumped to the moon, so now they are coming back down to earth.

News giving altcoin high impact, like or not that's what happens now. When news comes up, trader or investor make a hard decision with their money and mostly using bigger fund. Don't worry about it, it's just temporary. That's why trader or investor have fundamental information to helping them decides what the right step when news comes up. Too many ICO is nothing, bitcoin dumps altcoin not always pump. Thank you and see you next time.
Its a normal pushback.Also,this time unexpected maneuver like BCC pumping was done to make newbs move and get confused and lose money in the end.

Many whales are just taking home huge profits because many noob traders are coming and the noob traders are also dumping because they panic too much. Also another point to mention is the fact that this happens almost every weekend when the whales they want to spend their Bitcoins. ICOS as well are in fashion so people jump from one ICO to the other make x 3 or x 5 then go to next coin.
Initially I was panicked but after understanding the pattern of whales I did not really take into account at this time, it is best to remain consistent with some coins and wait for further developments, as the whales are currently raising rate of bcash and I think it's only temporary to their advantage.
Be patient. When this BCH madness will be over things will resume to normality.

A mentioned earlier it's mainly driven by the upsurge in BCH, more exchanges now supporting BCH, miners now finding BCH profitable to mine and as such might support it with more hash power and the speed of BCH confirmations might also be signs that it might be easily adpoted in the future.

It's true correlation but not always. It might be the case that bitcoin is being exchanged with USD !!
Altcoins will pump only if bitcoin is being dumped and converted to altcoins, then only those/that particular coin will start pumping, as the volume traded for it will be increasing.
As the bitcoin value is very high, people might just like to cash it out for fiat currency as they might think this is the highest bitcoin might reach currently. No big news by the way. Of course ICO will come and go that's not big thing.

So many dumps near the weekends since I've been into crypto, don't panic, HODL and buy during these dips. I picked up a IOTA for $.25 USD in the mid July dip, it's $.84 today.

People panic often. This isn't anything to be worried about as long as you just hodl. I would dump any BCC that I own though.
