After the big dump by the miners this is the best subject to talk and the price that we are going to reach before the yea's end, this dump will surely have a big effect on the price and everybody is now ready to make a new predictions, many people have already predicted another all time high, but because of this dump things are now changing and so are the predictions.

I wont really validate the whole idea exactly but there is a change of sentiment to the price as we progress through the year.    Its also true in main market that the autumn or fall can be a time for selling, for something like BTC where half the world is not in autumn but spring I'm not sure how that makes sense but the world and even crypto has some dollar bias perhaps.
Post labor day is the bell toll usually and of course if someone wants to say its nonsense thats fine but its just experience over many years people do pick this up as not a random thing.   The other thing to mention is holidays, there is a definite influence from certain holiday periods as it will mean less volume perhaps.  Same could be said of tax dates perhaps, funds trading in BTC have to report quarterly results and so on.   But generally I have a target for each year and I expect a peak and a pullback or profit taking from that peak, I've said the whole year for 2020 even before we began it that I think we come full circle.  I never thought we'd sell that hard but a couple did, I think thats mostly over but going down to 9000 is quite normal imo.

I have seen a lot of threads created about predictions and hype about the price of Bitcoin before the end of the year, why people are doing this there seems to be so many hype and predictions, is this people or holders wants to sell their bags.
There is also weekly as well if you want to focus on that? There are tons of chart readers and TA people that actually check weekly as well hell some of them actually do it on daily as well but daily doesn't give proper information and data you are looking for even if you do 5 minute chart intervals. Which is why hourly intervals on weekly changes are actually the way to go for most of these people. They check the MACD and they can check everything else and they see weekly pressure points and if it is under 200 or over 200 or whatever they want to check and I believe it is quite understandable.

If you do not like the yearly people who check their situation on the long term, just go with the day traders and see how they are doing, they do check a lot quicker than yearly which could work for you.

I also have my own predictions and I keep most to myself it's become a year-end habit for all of us here to comes out our prediction, it's like a summary of all we've gone through and the market, many of these predictions are contradictory, some are FUDS some are shills and hype, but we all agree in one thing and that is Cryptocurrency is all here to stay.

The "Ber" madness especially December when bitcoin reached 20k USD.

It's stuck.
It is written in bitcoin's history and I think many people are expecting it to happen.
Every time Ber months come there will always be hope to reach that number again. Then, there are those who bought at that amount who are still expecting ROI.
Also, they think it is the time where people have lots of money. Well, I doubt that now since there is a pandemic.

I believe it is easier that way, people just focus on the yearly returns because that is what the fiat world is like as well, that is why it must be simpler. Plus when you do this according to calendar year, you can compare to previous years as well, you can have yearly lows and yearly highs and you can have yearly averages, you can calculate which year was better and which year was worse.

We can sit here and all agree that 2017 was the best year ever while we can also say that 2018 was the worst year right after that as well, 2019 wasn't bad neither. I still hope that 2020 is better than all other years, unfortunately it doesn't look like best year ever but I hope that it at least becomes the second best year after 2017 because that is a hard one to break.

At least it can be made as an encourage by most people out there who still reluctant to buy bitcoin. As much as prediction/speculaytion are made there will be many people who still believe that bitcoin will always have a chance to increase its price. You will feel like that if you have bitcoin, moreover with most investor out there who have a lot of bitcoin then he they will have a high target to gain a profit. If bitcoin grow and being accepted by most people in this world, although there are a lot of investor who sell their bitcoin there will be also who buy it.

Seriously what would others expect? For example would you like to see people talk about what the bitcoin would be around 18th of June? Does that make more sense to you? How about 3rd of December? I mean it does make sense that people talk about end of the year when they are making these calculations. Plus this is not just a bitcoin or crypto thing, this is a whole business thing and finance thing, everyone talks about yearly profits and quarterly at the same time, those are the things that came to crypto world from the regular world, not something we created ourselves.

Otherwise we wouldn't probably make it yearly, we would probably find the date when bitcoin was first launched and was available to public and we all would take that and calculate depending on that date.

They/We are not seeing the future trend of crypto that why they/we live this thing and speculations. I don't think this is a hyping tool and drag people to believe it because we all have different market insights, and not also a thing to rely upon. if their reason is to manipulate the market pricer and then sell their bags once it surges, it is actually their idea but I don't believe that it is only enough.

I know you have your own insights and we either not bothered to hear it also. We'd respect those people being optimistic, unrealistic speculations, and it is just us if we believe it or just ignore it.

When December arrives, everything increases, in fact the demand increases in the market, and because of this speculation may be in favor, purchases come, gifts, all this leads to think that bitcoin may rise in price, Since the last ATH of Bitcoin happened in December 2017. My prediction is that I think that this end of the year will be better in price of Bitcoin than the price of last year.
The December 2017 thing was a onetime thing, even Novembers are like that, those are one time thing in the 10+ years of crypto existence, go check out each December in the past 10 years and you will not see mostly going up all the time, you will see that it is either going down or staying same or at the very best case it is going up just a bit like it goes up every time.

If there is one thing that is certain in the crypto world is that after few months passes in the year, the price goes up, every year around late spring to early summer the price goes up, that is a lot more consistent than the regular price increases on December, that rarely ever happens. Just because it happened once doesn't mean that it will happen every year, so do not get your hopes up about it every year.

For the most part people look at the progress in the price in quarters and the most important of all is the fourth quarter which is the end of the year, this is important because if we have this market ending in a good note with the price going up and positive news all around the market there is the possibility that the next year is going to begin with a good note too, and that is what we all want, so the attention given to the end of the year is completely justified and if anything it could be even bigger if you ask me.

It is always the same with other things too, people predict what will happen this year, what might happen and what should happen. The year is not even ending and there are a lot of predictions and speculations being thrown. Price, adoption, and even technologies that might be used, I think we all are wanting to peak what the future of Bitcoin holds, I think we just wanted it to have a better future.

In my own opinion i believe that in 4th quarter usually people has more extra money to invest in,while in December there are more withdrawals than investments because the investors are taking out their money to wait for dump in the middle or second quarter of the year.
Maybe because to note the record for this year performance. Last bull run it happened on the end of the year and that was really unexpected by a lot of people. You can see that many users holding coins have gotten some pretty good fortune and now that the year is closing to its end. There are some who are expecting a lot of the same events that will occured again.
Bullrun happens when the last quarter enter of 2017 and end up in December so maybe this will happen the same now since the Halving happens 2016 but the effect is after a year.

Because people want to know on what will happen next year since its a fresh start of the year and many people want to see some things happen on crypto and I find this one as healthy question ask since we will have a good talks regarding on the state on next year, but don't listen easily since somehow there are guys out there predict to much and we should stick to the closest figures since we need to see the last price touched to see the provable digits for next year.

Although the market price has no season people like to see the price at the end of the year this is to compare the price in the past at the same time of every year, this is where they get their indication if the quarter of the year will give them good profit, the end of the year prediction is where people are excited and people are even betting I have a friend who always wins betting the closest price every end of the year.

Right because we all feels excited for the fresh starts that's why we see so many speculation coming when the year ends and it also the hype bring more curiosity since some instance gives hope especially when the pump or bull run happen on 4th quarter of the year.

It's for hype, it's for sharing their analysis, it's for baiting FOMO, etc. There are various reasons and well, by creating predictions by the end of the year, they can easily create comparison from what the price was when it started this year, which makes a lot of arguments a lot more seemingly constructive, due to the comparison variable. Plus, this provides an analysis of the developments that happened over the past year, bringing in more constructive (possibly) arguments to the discussion. Besides, there's no rule saying that you can't do any predictions so, just let them be imo. We all have our own predictions at various periods, and whether we share them or not, they'd still be predictions in the end so it doesn't really matter whether you care about it or not.

I would assume that by the time the price goes up in late stage at the end of the year most of the time because there are so many nations in the world that gets salary yearly so people do not invest that much early in the year since they don't know what is going to happen during the year (just look at this year) and that is why they spend or put it aside but not really invest with it, but by the time November or December comes they know how much they have and how much of it they could use for investment, which makes the numbers go up a lot more in the late stages of the year. That is just my thought, there are so many sports people, financial people, Americans and so forth that calculate their income yearly, whereas my nation does it monthly, so maybe those yearly ones are because of yearly income.

Well, yearly increases are what matters in the financial world, they calculate it in two different ways, one of them is quarterly, which is every 3 months, and the other one is yearly one. The yearly one matters because you could basically make a ton of profit this month, but could lose them next month, which means monthly is not that important, just because you make 20% profit this month doesn't mean that you won't lose it next month, but when you talk about from start of 2020 to end of 2020 we can actually see what has happened.

This is the reason why I always say that do not look at huge increases in your quick trades, look at your yearly increase and if it is over 20% that means it is really cool because that is more than the inflation in almost any nation unless something major happened.

In any case, the cryptocurrency market does not depend on the season, and if you analyze the situation in the cryptocurrency market at the end of each year for several years in a row, the indicators will differ very much. But if we take into account the fact of halving in 2012 and 2016, then Bitcoin has always increased in price until the end of the year.

It may be an encouragement to other people in this industry. People are making assumptions in order to help themselves to be away from worries and frustrations. They might also created discussions regarding this matter to know how do other investors feel about the market price of not only Bitcoin but other currencies. Some people are trying to get an idea on what should be the next move regarding their investments. It is a matter of seeking empathy.
But the bottomline is clear. No matter how people make assumptions and speculations, the market is unpredictable in its nature and it is impossible to accurately guess what could happen anytime. There's no clear pattern of this market behavior. Pumps or dumps in thr market price could happen in a sudden.

They do it because that's what they think. Every individual is free to express their predictions about the market and that's been happening for a long time and this trend will keep going on even bitcoin reaches another all time high.

I have my own prediction and others have too. What's good about reading predictions is that you get to see different ideas and factors on how it's possible for bitcoin to reach those prices that they are explaining on their predictions, negative or positive price.

they just simply want to predict at the price. not many of them wants to sell, they just want to bet whats gonna be the price at the end of the year. it is like betting on who wins at the end of the match. the thrill and excitement that it brings to oneself is the same feeling like when you are gambling. and some of them want to say "i told you so". so everybody wants to talk the price just because they want it.
Everyone wants to predict the price, we all are analysts of ourselves. There's actually no thrill on it as you're only giving and naming price which shall happen by the end of the year or at any season of the year.

Investors and speculators are gamblers although the market is their playing field, they love to speculate to the point of shilling the coins they are holding,  and the best time to do that is when the year is ending it's like people want to invest their bonus in Cryptocurrency that has a good potential for profit.
Not only at the end of the year. Everyone becomes active in speculation when the price is surging and it's the attractive force of bitcoin whenever it starts to go on high. But when it goes down, there are still predictions but they go with the sentiment of the trend.

It is normal to see many predictions about the price of bitcoin because I think that by having the predictions, we hope that the price will go to the predictions. But we don't need to listen to those predictions because we need to have our prediction, so we can know what we have to do.

I have my own predictions, but it is for myself only Grin

I don't share it with other people because I am afraid that they don't analyze themselves, and they can blame me if my predictions do not happen. I always try to tell them to analyze by themselves so that they can get the real situations at the market, and that can be their time to act based on the current conditions at the market.

When it comes to price predictions in the end of the year then its just right to base of with the ending rather than people do speculate and do say on what would be the price in mid-year? Of course they would really
be pertaining inclusive on said year.

asking if their holders or active sellers? Its both but you wont totally able to point out which one is just shilling out or do create some fud.

You can see the mood change on the forums every time there's a significant move in price.

In a bear market people are giving up, leaving, taking on other hobbies and turning to other investments. In a bull market they go crazy speculating and dreaming about getting rich when the price reaches some crazy numbers. It's always the same.

When we approach the previous ATH people get excited because there's a chance to make a lot of money if we break that level. In the history of Bitcoin it has never broke the ATH and went back into the bear market. It always kept going.

Predictions, everybody can do that and give random numbers, to bring arguments is something else. The truth is most people in the Speculation board repeat what others say, what they found on Twitter and co. from so-called experts, and what they read on the news. And when not, they may be copy-pasting Telegram channel.

There are just a few members posting predictions based on TA or the actual economic situation and the market. A lot of others create a topic every $500 movement or think BTC is failing because it loses 50 bucks lol

That is normal, it's because we have this year to year calculations. This is where we calculate how much growth we have for a given year. So this 2020, we will look at the starting price and then the ending price, that's why there are more hype because obviously, we wanted to see how it growth based on percentage years to year (YOY).

Its not all about bitcoin, every human has free will to talk anything when year is about to end, sample like predicting celebrity's life for next year, business man's business next year,  even you if you somewhat care for yourself you have a little question for what you will become next year and etc.

And the most common thing because of volatility increases when the years about to end, people lots of talks about it in the sense that they will ask you to share opinion/predictions as well.

They are probably newcomers in the market who asked questions first after buying Bitcoin or any crypto in general they think that long-term price projections is something that can be done accurately in the crypto market just like any traditional markets out there when in fact they are very inaccurate due to volatility and unpredictability of the market. Yeah sure there are people who called it out early that this will be the price on this time and they got it correctly but these people who predicted the price right never had a chance to do it again. If you want to have a more accurate prediction when it comes to price movement I think you should just look at short term charts not more than 3 months as anything longer than that will make your price prediction inaccurate.

This is a free market so everyone has the right to give their own prediction. Prediction Anyone can give as they wish even though some predictions are outside the circle. Which they promote only to create hype.

Here is the important. How are you monitoring the market? Those who saw the market at the end of 2017 may still remember what kind of hype was created in the market at that time. So it is not so important to see what an influencer is promoting or creating hype.

why people are doing this there seems to be so many hype and predictions,
Not really, only in certain years people talk and predict against crypto prices, like Bitcoin for example, the reason is because 'halved' coincides this year, 2020.

What OP needs to know, crypto has prediction experts all the time and time, so that people discuss it every day and year, plus the 'halved' that happens.

The bottom line: everyone has their own way and mind to determine crypto price predictions, if that person is investing and trading crypto.

Generally there is a rise of the bitcoin price at the end of the year and the best example is 2017 ATH that's why the number of topics might rise at that period. It is a critical period let's say. The summer is generally fluctuating and we may see some drops in it. Of course this wasn't the case this year.

That's the very least we can do. Cryptocurrency is a prediction based on market sentiments, TA's, and fundamental news. People needs to make bullish or bearish prediction to change the market sentiments to favor what the majority is aiming and reach a specific price range.
Therefore, predictions are normal in every market, and most probably these people are holders.
Predictions also serves as a guide on the next possible price movement.

I have seen a lot of threads created about predictions and hype about the price of Bitcoin before the end of the year, why people are doing this there seems to be so many hype and predictions, is this people or holders wants to sell their bags.

Do you have your own prediction?
