For nearly 30 years, through the five presidential years, the United States has not stopped the Korean weapons program.
I know this is not related to Korea but it is related to the war, last night i have seen a hybo documentary called Stories from Syria and i was amazed that in this era it is possible such massacres, it is inaf one crazy dude and a lot of power. Perhaps it's the same with Korea.

It's all about the government regime in North Korea and the fact that they have a nuclear bomb, if it had not been for the bomb the way to settle the conflict would have been found long ago.

I suppose the American government understands that Kim is am insane person. They are cautious not to start the Big War.

Here, I do not know if you have considered this fact:

Until recently, North Korea's only Internet connection came from China. So all the traffic and actions of the Koreans are visible to the Chinese.

For the past few days, Russia has provided North Korea with its second connection line. Further impeding the isolation of the island by the United States.

I definitely think that the United States should stop positioning itself as a world ruler. And the whole world seems to support this, especially with the Trump at its head. And no, I do not want to receive paper towels.

I agree, I think that America needs to step down.

Obviously because China has been supporting NK.  But that is changing.

The only reason why China has been supporting the DPRK is because they don't want any American military bases right there on the border (like they have in South Korea and Japan). But now, they have reduced a lot of support services which they used to provide to the DPRK. It seems that Russia has replaced China as DPRK's main supporter.

North Korea is showing off their power to let other countries know of their power and capabilities that if they go to war they will stand their ground.

Lol  Grin they are playing. They know its an unwinnable war and many will die. Plus I  know China is terrified of the regime collapsing. Also Trump, despite being xxxxxxxxxxxx wont do anything. Plus the North Koreans have terrible weaponry and mistreated people. Surely if they did IT, there would be mass AWOL from the NK army etc. Its just sabre rattling and stupid.

I think that’s because the United States of America are trying to give the benefit of the doubt of the power of South Korea, China and Russia to prevent the North Koreans to doing what they want to do. As thwy dont want to seem a nation that is forcely doing what they want.

Or perhaps is it the USA who is playing on the brink of war? History tells us that the USA killed some millions of North Coreans in their own land just a few decades ago. This should tell something to someone.

That happened more than 60 years back, during the Korean war. Unfortunately, back then the Koreans became pawns in the hands of the two major powers (USSR/China on one side and the United States/UK on the other side). No one knows about the exact number of deaths, but it is thought to be somewhere near the 3 million range.

I think that North Korea has been this as there is no hard sanction that was really imposed on it. Furthermore North Korea is flexing its muscles and not one ever really went there to confront as we are also held hostage by the brink of nuclear war.

Speaking of North Korea, it is about the country ready to prepare for war. This is a country using nuclear weapons illegally opposed by other countries and embargo. But they regularly experiment with nuclear missile-defying missiles provoking countries in the region such as Korea and Japan. In particular, North Korea is threatening to launch nuclear missiles into the United States, and South Korea has created tensions between warring nations at any time.

North Korea and the U.S. have escalated in recurrent cycles for decades, although the recent hostilities are the most intense since the early 1970s.
The constant irritant has been relentless U.S. pressure on the North, including frequent threats to the very existence of the regime, whose official name is the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea).
Since 2000, there have also been examples of regimes in Iraq and Libya that gave up nuclear weapons under U.S. pressure--and then were destroyed, either directly by the U.S. or with U.S. help. Those experiences convinced the DPRK regime that, once begun, there could be no turning back from building a nuclear deterrent.
The real attraction of building long-range nuclear weapons is that it could help the DPRK break out of the cycles of provocation with the U.S.--by creating greater parity of risk between the two parties.

There is no doubt that United states do not take North Korea seriously but It must does because North Korea has one of the most lunatic leader .For that reason, He can becomes an unknown quantity . Rest of the world especially USA must brace themselves.

It is true that the leader of North Korea is a lunatic. But recently, Donald Trump of the United States is also behaving in a similar manner. He is constantly provoking the North Koreans by conducting military exercises so close to their maritime border. He is no less war crazy than fat boy Kim.

It is a country that has been under sanctions for more than a decade. May be its time to realise that sanctions were ineffective?

Sanctions will never work unless the general population is against the government. What happened in the DPRK is that the international sanctions have helped Kim Jong Un to win support from the people. He is playing the victim card and claiming that the country was sanctioned as it had the balls to stand up against the American aggression.

Korea is a major risk for the US NOT BECAUSE OF THE NORTH BUT THE SOUTH. Travel to the Peninsula and you will realise this is basically a one nation just divided by power struggle just like the indian and paistan situation. What ever the US does in the north will affect their southern allies and no one in government likes that. The south Koreans do not see the North as a threat they lack a lot and those show offs will not make the north call for war. Not now or Never i can think of

They have to for survival. The US has a habit of deposing dictators with human rights violations and Kim Jong Un would be pretty high up their list if he didn't have nukes. This is fatboy playing it smart, believe it or not.

I think Kim Jong Il needs the constant threat of war to keep his militarized citizens in check, while trying to look strong on the world stage. His people might fall for the constant propaganda that is directed at them but he looks like an unstable lunatic that isn't fit to run a lemonade stand to everyone else.

I believe that North korea's leaders have their own beliefs and interests. Just like every leaders in the world. They won't go around waging war against anyone for nothing. North korea is a very small country and that is why I believe that they want to show everyone that they are strong and not to be disregarded. They want to show that they are powerful and that they won't be pushed aside even by the strongest countries out there. But that's just my opinion. One more thing. A person who wants war will always go for it no matter what other people says.

Through this wars that US has waged against this rebellious nations like Vietman, Afghanistan and Iraq it has been clear the solution is not going to war but finding other ways to deal with North Korea. War will devastate a beautiful nation and civilians. No one wants that. But i believe there will be a solution all this soon enough.

Very capable against North Korea, but America needs another way to destroy North Korea wrong. The only thing is the embargo of technological economy, science and all the elements. If only with that war would be a third world war that is avoided by America and other allied countries
