Whenever Krugman comments on bitcoin, he always thinks hard and chooses his words very carefully.

Much more carefully than normal. I think its clear bitcoin vexes Krugman more than any other topic he is asked to comment on.

If currencies and economies could be designed to be self regulating, that could eliminate a need for economists.

In bitcoin being a self regulating currency, Krugman could be looking at a future where his job as an economist has been replaced by a bitcoin miner that regulates crypto currency in a more unbiased and objective fashion than Krugman or another economist with conflicting self interests could.

I'm sure that must be distressing to some degree.

Krugman is triggered by Bitcoin because he has always been wrong about it from the start. He is bitter that Bitcoin never died off after it first bubbled spiked past $1k as he had predicted at the time. Being wrong about currency matters is a bad look for someone who has won a Nobel Prize (a joke of an honor, btw) for economics. So you can understand how Bitcoin has been and always will be a stick in his craw. He calls Bitcoin evil. When someone tries to demonize something or someone, it's a sign they are very afraid of/threatened by that thing or person.

Because it's anti-semitic to not allow jews to live off of your work through parasitic, fractional reserve usury.  The picture even looks identical to Krugman:
-snip-

do you not understand that transaction fees for bitcoin are also "fractional reserve usury"? Granted they are much smaller than traditional networks like visa or amex, but you're still paying a fee which defeats your whole "sticking it to the man" philosophy.

Which is why I endorse physical silver over bitcoin.  Assuming bitcoin doesn't implode or get co-opted by govt or something, it can also be captured cartel style where a few corporations just hold everyone hostage by control of the mining pools and what fees are, how they can be spent, etc.  You don't have to ask permission to a (((corporation))) or (((government))) to spend or barter a silver coin.  They cannot charge you a fee to use your own money.

Well, pointless antisemitism aside

Wrong, it is the jews that are anti-white and they only attempt to use the word "anti-semite" to describe people against their sick and disgusting agenda.

I don't know anything about your history or why you're doing this, but how would you define bitcoin if not a financial instrument? As far as I know, it is commonly referred to as crypto-currency and many people trade it for goods and services.

He is part of the fiat bankster inner circle, of course that bitcoin is going to make him uncomfortable, bitcoin destroys everything that these fucking criminals represent, bitcoin is the nightmare that makes all the control freaks lose sleep at night.

Paul Krugman is an idiot that will get destroyed by the bitcoin supremacy.

May be bitcoin is a cryptonite for all his fiat currency theories  Wink . With each success step of Bitcoin would have triggered feeling of shame for him. He is a big stature in economic world, however that does not mean he is The oracle.

Just dont mined Paul Krugman maybe he is pissed with bitcoin since he is a bitcoin of scammers and hackers or have been a victim of a bubble and have lost a huge amount of money on it. Even if he will say many nonsense words against bitcoin he can no longer stop the growth and development of bitcoins. If you notice the growing value of bitcoin, this is a proof that Krugmans opinion does not matter to bitcoin users.

Paul Krugman is a fanatic supporter of the fiat currencies. It`s normal that he hates cryptocurrencies.
I think that 99,9% of the economists hate bitcoin because all of them "love" central banks, monetary policy and fiat money.

Bitcoiner ....
Hello,

I am suing the New York Department of Financial Services in New York Supreme Court (http://www.article78againstNYDFS.com) and on 3/17/2017 we are asking the judge to issue a subpoena to force Paul Krugman to explain in economical terms to the judge the testimony that Mark Williams did in front of Benjamin Lawsky in 2013.

One thing that strike me is the fact that each time the word bitcoin is pronounced, he gets mad.
For example this video where he is being asked about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-H8LRHG1hc

To those that have more history than me on this forum, I am wondering why it that.

On a post posted by a troll of mine, another user put a link toward a Business Insider article where Krugman answered: "He also said that the Bitcoin people have no sense of humor, and he suggested his "Bitcoin is Evil" headline was a "joke.""

What is the history of the people on this forum with Paul Krugman ?
Just would like to understand the bitcoiner view of those who were present before me.

On 3/17, the NYDFS will need to explain the economics reasoning of how they came about to define bitcoin has a financial product.
Thanks for the help answering that question.
