PPC is low because there currently isn't much in the way news or market coverage. But another spike in difficulty might change that (because of its reward mechanism).

As a note, BTC and LTC have remained relatively stable recently too in January. But that doesn't change any of the fundamentals of those markets. Just sit back and relax. Hehe.

Peercoin "is" not "low".

It's now in a consolidation phase after a remarkable price rally in September-December 2013. No coin can reach an all-time-high every day. Look where Peercoin was 1 year ago (< 0,05 $).

Why does Peercoin always stays between 5-6$? It is better than bitcoin in my opinion, but its price does not make any moves. Litecoin at 20$ and Peercoin at 5$ doesnt seem to make sense to me. What are your theories?? is it too unknown?

Look at how many Peercoin addresses there are today, then look at how many there are at the same time tomorrow.  Compare that with Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dogecoin.

I thought Ethereum was a coin and Ether was the protocall? I haven't looked into it much but it sounds cool.

Its a great coin, but there are lots of great coins long term...

Doge, Quark, Etherium, protoshares..

Ethereum is not a coin, it is "Next-Generation Smart Contract and Decentralized Application Platform"

Protoshares "main goal is to provide coin holders with shares in new coins and by that give them a financial profit if these coins become successful and have a high value."

Also I dont think Doge and Quark are really long term coins. Doge is determined to fall now and Quark had a rush already? I think QRk will stay where it is

Anyway it would be interesting to know more about why Peercoin is so undervalued:)
ethereum is also a coin. the token of that platform

I'm not actually invested in those coins, but I think they're cool. As cool as peercoin.

Who knows what will be long term coins? Doge and Quark look special. I am not putting money into Doge yet because I think its currently overpriced (waiting till below 100 satoshi), but you have to admit its growing insanely quickly. Much quicker than BTC (in terms of users, not infrastructure). And Quark is going to be successful just based on its growth in asian countries (undervalued in these euro/us forums) and because they have one of the best foundations supporting all of their infrastructure (just invest and wait for others to do the work).

Why is Doge so special, besides it's meme coin?

Also, Quark is premined, it will crash as bot network owners start to cash out.

QRK is not premined..

I'm sure PPC will see rise in popularity this year.
