Thank you all for your help. It appears this card is broken and not a driver problem. Last try from me was to install it in another motherboard and the same happened. When I install a gigabyte card in this motherboard where I was trying Asus worked immediately. Returning the card and locking the topic.

Hi!

I have a strix rx470 8g oc with micron memory.
What mem do you have? (if micron, pls send me the bios... or does it matter what mem we have?)
What are your core/mem/... numbers?

Thx
I have Elpida and Samsung.
Yeah it matters.
PM me if you want performance timings or bios.

I have 2x Strix RX 470, best fans I've seen on GPU. No problem with drivers, but I have modded bios so I'm using the patch. I really like Strix.
Different story is Asus Dual, those cards are bad... they now start with Expedition edition, but it has the same noisy fans as Dual :/

Has it ever worked?

Have you tried tweaking the bios(PCIe to Gen1, turning off onboard)

DDU and revert back to pre-5xx drivers, like the 16.9.3

Make sure DDU is preventing from auto-installing default drivers

Aren't B250 board limited to 4 gpu?

He is correct.

The ASUS 7970 back from 2013 is a Quality piece of work. Fine engineering.

The Asus Strik RX 470 is a piece of cheap crap.

I had an asus rx470 as well. Excellent card. If you aren't using both dvi ports, you can use a compatible rx580 bios to get around driver patching. Mine was hynix ajr and I used an msi 4gb rx580 ajr bios. I found that I got better undervolting stability with rx570/580 bioses vs stock (I'd have displays drop out randomly before).

edit: The asus rx570 bios works as well but still requires driver patching if modded.

He did reinstall the drivers though.

What I meant is the changes made by the pixel patcher are not permanent. You have to run the pixel patcher every time you install the AMD drivers so it can bypass the signature check.

ASUS and all other manufacturers, are not to blame for driver issues in Windows (and Linux).
Try the pixel clock patcher and tell us your results, if that doesn't work do some basic troubleshooting.
Install the latest Windows updates.
Run the following commands in Powershell with administrator privileges one after another (after each one completes).
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow

If nothing has worked so far, then the chances of you finding a fix are very slim. I'd refresh or reinstall Windows at that point.

In any case, all the pixel patcher does is change some registry entries made by the driver, so it will bypass the signature check with a modded bios. If it doesn't work, you can just reinstall the drivers.

As you know I had a lot of problems mining with B250F strix gaming motherboard which I luckily made it to mine manually but with only 3 GPU-s while it had space for 5 GPU-s.

Now another problem this time, with ASUS STRIX ROG RX 480 8GB , after I install it, no matter latest version driver or not it always gives me Error 43. I read about the fix in internet and it only needs to uninstall the driver and install the latest one. I did so with DDU uninstalled all drivers and installed the latest one. Same shit happens, when I right click and then left click on AMD Radeon settings it says no GPU found or I am missing the drivers.

Any idea how to solve this ?

This gpu is on a new seventh generation intel motherboard and windows 10. MSI the top of the line brand motherboard.

I have the same cards, OC edition. I assume you have a modded bios. All you should need to do is use the pixel patcher after installing the drivers to bypass the signature check and reboot.

I don't have a modded BIOS, I bought it from Amazon new so I don't think the guy who sold it to me was a cheater. I have it on stock settings, does this program in the link above help me maybe ? If so I am willing to try. Let me know.

No guarantees. I also just bought another RX 480 from Amazon that was sold by Amazon as new. The card they shipped had obviously been repackaged and the serial number didn't even match the label on the box. I decided to give it a try, since they are no longer available anywhere. I had to return the card after no matter what I did, the card would not mine for more than 2 minutes before crashing.

In any case, all the pixel patcher does is change some registry entries made by the driver, so it will bypass the signature check with a modded bios. If it doesn't work, you can just reinstall the drivers.
