There were reports in Russian language media that more than 300 Crimean Tatars have travelled to Syria, with the intention of joining the Islamic State. I don't know whether the neo-Nazi junta in Kiev is paying the travelling expenses and all, but some of them are saying that after undergoing the training in Syria, they will come back to Crimea to "liberate" it from the Russians.

Muslims in Russia are loyal, controlled and not immigrants.

Almost all of the Russian Muslims are natives, and not immigrants. They have been living in Russia for more than 500 years. Even the Chechens and the other Muslim groups in the North Caucasus are living under the Russian rule for almost two centuries now. All of them speak Russian and serve in the army, unlike the Muslim immigrants in Western Europe.

Your post makes me think to a nasty divorce. Two people very close decide to fight each other... Furthermore in this situation the friends of each side are exploiting this divide for their own benefits. It's quite sad. What I don't get is Russia being that big why does it need to associate with such questionable states... If you look at all the Russian friends the people (I mean average Joe not those benefiting from the spoliation of the regime) would prefer to live in the west...would I be wrong to say that the diplomatic legacy of the Soviet Union hasn't been purged? Average Russian citizens have difficulties to express support for the Crimean situation in the west but they are genuine in the support however please find anyone from Russia living in the west agreeing with what happened in Syria. Most of them see only the bad press and image that the association with such a butcher leads...

It s so unfair for the Syrian people to have seen their attempted democratic revolution be splashed in blood and tnt if the Soviet suprem had behaved like this...

It's not about borders. No one would hike weeks through the mountains with bombs and equipment. It's about the ease to reach. People of USA have genuine reason to support Trump. But he too is not a right solution.
