You are wrong, even those high rank members didnt get merit easily especially those farmers many of them have already caught and get a red mark.

About those members with friends here thats their advantage but we can be friend to them too by contributing something good in this community they will someday notice us.

And about those people who has hundreds of account some of us here are making actions to caught them including me  try to do it in this way we can help the community to clean those alts.

Naaahhh, they are not scared and also the forum is not the one whose sending coins, its the projects and those business. Why do think that the forum pays us? They dont even getting profit on us.
The forum needs to maintain its reputation to those businesses because this forum is trusted by many business that offers bounty to us, thats why they are eliminating those exploitative/abusive people here.

There are many users here that we call whales if they publish their identity its too dangerous for them to be known publicly.

I don't have any alts, I don't have any relatives that are members here, and I don't have any reciprocal arrangements either. I've awarded hundreds of sMerits since the system started, and I've done this because I like talking about Bitcoin, computers, politics and a few other things. If you put all the weeds and the vermin on ignore, then it is possible to use Bitcoin Talk for informed discussions. I don't lose anything by giving away these merits, and I gain by helping to clean up the forum.

The phone idea is really stupid, I can pick up a sim card for nothing, and it includes a few messages and 10 minutes of talk.

Someone will fake their personality and documents, but some will show all the info how it is and I am not sure that the forum has such strong anti hacking system to guarantee to all users safety of their private information. Maybe it is just "YET"

Those funds probably went to building the new forum and current forum maintenance, maintaining Bitcointalk is not an easy nor cheap task to do.
Theymos Will Never put KYC in here, first he have to build a server to store all of those KYC data and to secure it from hackers, that itself is a hard task (as if the forum hack in 2015 wasn't enough).
Second, this forum were built by Satoshi originally, he has a big concern regarding privacy, and I'm sure Theymos too.

Every forums has spammers, there are no forum that is free from it.
But, even we can help against spammers without KYC bullcrap, if you see a spam or posts that are against the forum rules, simply report them and the mods will sort it out quickly.

This forum with banner ads for a week GET almost 2 BTC a WEEK (100k usd a month) .  Cant even Hire more STAFF ? i think it more than 2 BTC a week . because he a lot thing to do with his monetize technique

Even if all these information is implemented, all this can be faked. I do not think any other forum receives so much spam registrations. Only issue here is that a lot of money is involved even with discussions.

Theymos should enforce KYC and create new board where we will publicly reveal our personal information and ID's with pictures.
Picture of credit cards too. Both side.
Signed message from all wallets with funds and private keys and maybe picture of your family and friends too.

Have you not seen the amount of SMS services there are that offer like 1000 messages for below 1 dollar? There was one in this forum offering it in the services section. Implementing a SMS field on registration wouldn't solve anything.

Also, no one in the Bitcoin community would be willing to upload their Identification to the forum, for several reasons. The forums been compromised in the past which means the hackers would of had the ID of hundreds of thousands of users at the time, as well as users that use Bitcoin are normally quite security conscious and don't like to give their name let alone their whole identification.

Its a bit hard to let someone buy multiple phone number . for get 1 number in eu you should pay $20+ for number and should add credit phone bi weekly or monthly . so he will not register more than 10 account . if he did . he should spend $200 a day for only 10 account. so its worth for Newbie account thats still possible to get rejected ? absolutely not .

I do not think multiple accounts are allowed from same IP address. What you mentioned about IPv4 users is correct though. When someone tries to create multiple accounts from same IP, posting is disabled on those accounts and the user will have to send some bitcoins to given address. This information is based on a thread I read in meta.

This is so that their isn't an infinite circulation of merit because merit could then just be sent back and forth between a group of people and they will end up having a 10 million merit score and still have the same amount of sMerit.

It has been intentionally kept hard so that you really work for those merits. Also, you should expect merits from merit sources, who get some merits to spend per month.


How hard is it to get multiple phone numbers or verification ids ? Also, manually verifying these for the amount of registrations this forum receives will require more staff.

Lets say you Create 1 thread . with really good quality and very informative
and if someone give you his sendable merit he will lose his Sendable merit.
