It could be important to people who donate bitcoins to an address associated with a politically unpopular yet legal and moral cause.

Some of the coins in the donation could be linked to you from another transaction, and you don't seem to be able to control which specific coins you pay with.

I'd also imagine it has to do with how anonymous you want to be! Change your address less if it's not a huge concern! Change it more frequently if you want anonymity!

I read that you should generate an unique Bitcoin address for each transaction, to be safe.

Anyhow why people post their addresses on the forum?

If two people make a donation to a Bitcoin Address in the signature of someone, isn't this a violation of safety procedures?
