Ripple reputation is based on "pseudo news". If it were to be adopted by a consortium of banks or be the coin to watch it would have already be implemented. For me it makes no sense to hold it having much better projects out there.

Ripple will be crashing back to below 1 USD, thats for sure. There are a lot of people with thousands of XRPs bought below 0.10 who are ready to sell their stacks once they realise XRP is losing its momentum.

You legit have to be retarded to buy xrp at this point, no offense.

XRP is crashing down today flirting with 2 USD already. I guess it’s a correction, but a steep one.

First of all this is a very useful article so thanks a lot for it. Processing speed and volume of ripple is what attracts me compared to other coins. This gives me hope about its future...

Currently, an international payment may take a few days to complete, and at a high cost. A headache for banks is high-volume, but low-value, transactions — the kind that Facebook might pay out to app makers, for example. These can often be expensive and unprofitable for banks because it takes a lot of effort to move the money and the percentage cut won't be as high as for a larger transaction.

Ripple is trying to solve this problem via its technology. XRP can be used by enterprises to get instant liquidity needed in a high-value transaction, without having to pay fees.

Owning Ripple ≠ Owning stake in Ripple tech. I can send 1 million dollars with ripple quickly for a fraction of a cent, which means a barely need any ripple to actually use ripple

Ripple is a total sh*tcoin and thats all. I am trading it like other sh*tcoins and currently dumped it on all the noobs which are buying it at these prices lol. Maybe it will pump a bit higher but this will not end well the crash will destroy some people for sure. I hate it and its a scam because its not a cryptocurrency, it is centralized and they lost the first 10k blocks of their blockchain!!! They dont have it for real, ripple and the whole company behind is a real joke and a shame for the whole crypto universe.

before praising currency like ripple/xrp must think why nakamoto introduced bitcoin , why we have cryptocurrency module , why decentralization is main important feature .

there is no difference in usd or ripple , both are govt/bank controlled . but people will be happy as long as ripple is going 2x 3x like that

i sold my ripple holdings last week, anyone think it would be a good idea to reinvest or have wee seen the peak??
In my opinion, you better find some other altcoins that does have lower value than Ripple. It's co founder can sell it anytime and live a decent life with his millions of ripple's on hold. Once he started to sell it and get off to the Ripple community, everyone of you will be affected. And besides, it is centralized and we are in cryptocurrencies were the main role is to get off the centralization.

I also like how the fact that banks using it is a reason to buy any. As if cryptos weren't created on the basis that banks are the problem.

But still I am not convinced.Ripple Foundation owns most of the ripple (around 55 billion ripples) ..and it's not decentralized
Better to buy  fb or apple shares, instead

It just seems like your explaining why Ripple is a good payment network, not currency. Using Ripple to buy things makes no sense if I can just use USD on ripple to do it. Why speculate on a pseudo-centralized cryptocurrency where 1 company owns more than half? There's also no incentive to "mine" it if ripple labs disappears. But feel free to keep the hype train rolling, maybe someone will read this and think that $3 is more accessible than $15000 because they'll assume coins are like stock and are indivisible, when in reality, Ripple has a bigger market cap than bitcoin...

This is one of the good article which explain about the Ripple's growth and all the aspects. We do not need to invest on ripple that is view about ripple because I feel that this is bank oriented crypto currency. So this coin wins it is equals to bank wims among the other crypto currencies. That will not be a absolute bump. I think that some people keep on evaluating the transaction and ripple and shows like more transacted with the demand on that coin.

The XRP price is way higher than it was at the start of the month even thriving amid yesterday’s 20 percent crypto market drop-off. Ripple now has over 75 commercially deploying customers and over 100 currently on their roster. But more than just establishing a customer base, Ripple has used strategic partnerships to generate buzz. For instance, the recently announced partnership with American Express which was many Americans’ first encounter with Ripple and immediately situated the brand as a reliable financial service, rather than a weird or intimidated new technology. Ripple isn’t created, or “mined,” by users. The company has control. It created 100 billion ripple coins initially, and 38 billion of them are in circulation at the moment. Ripple management can release up to 1 billion coins per month, which experts predict could oversaturate the market. With the Cryptocurrency gaining more popularity attracted even more in investors. Here are top 5 reasons why Ripple’s value is going higher than ever.

TRANSACTION
One of the key things to remember is Ripple isn’t created, or “mined,” by users. The company has control. If a sending address has one or more transactions queued, that sender can “push” the existing queued transactions into the open ledger by submitting a new transaction with a high enough transaction cost to pay for all of them. Specifically, the new transaction must decrease the total transaction cost of the queued transactions from the same sending address, including the new transaction, to cover the open ledger cost of each transaction as it gets added to the ledger. The total must include the decreased open ledger cost for each new transaction.

2ND HIGHEST MARKET CAP HOLDER

Market caps are a good indicator of the gains and losses investors are making over time. Market Capitalization is one way to rank the relative size of a cryptocurrency. It’s calculated by multiplying the Price by the Circulating Supply.
Market  Cap = Price X Circulating Supply.

Circulating  Supply  is  the  best  approximation  of  the  number  of  coins that are circulating in the  market and in  the  general  public’s  hands.  Total  Supply  is  the  total  amount  of  coins  in existence  right  now (minus any coins that have been verifiably burned). Max  Supply  is  the best  approximation  of  the  maximum amount  of  coins that  will  ever  exist  in  the  lifetime of the cryptocurrency.

FAST LOW AMOUNT TRANSACTION ACCEPTANCE

The current minimum transaction cost required by the network for a standard transaction is 0.00001 XRP (10 drops). It sometimes increases due to higher than usual load. Some transactions though have different rates for e.g –
Reference Transaction(Most transactions) – 10 drops
Key Reset Transaction – 0 drops
Multi-Signed Transaction – 10 * number of signatures provided
Escrow-Finish Transaction with Fulfillment
These low costs have made it very popular.

LOW PRICE CRYPTOCURRENCY

The current price of Ripple XRP is $3.77 USD. With a price this low compare it to the current price of Bitcoin which is $15.038 USD. Now at this point of time why would anyone want to invest almost 15000 in a coin which has been around since years than to rather invest in a new coin with price of just $3.77. As the Ripple’s low price would provide huge benefits very a really small amount thus making the cryptocurrency more popular for newbies. Even if they face loss in future as the amount being small the investors don’t have much to lose other than their spirits.

SECURE AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND

The openness with which the Ripple network operates has, on the other hand, also allowed for vulnerabilities to develop. Researchers at Purdue University have found that, although the core of the network remains highly liquid, that the structure also allows for attacks on certain nodes within the network to cripple some users’ access to funds. In fact, some 50,000 wallets may be immediately at risk if such an attack were to occur. But the openness exists for a reasons. It is because of the Ripples’ Bug bounty program which was introduced way before  the XRP was even launched. This allowed developers to find security loopholes with some bounty rewards and making it secure even before it was launched.
