I'm just curious because AFAIK gambling is not totally illegal in my country, so I have the liberty to gamble on the sites that I like to use.

I just came across a new site https://www.btc365.com/ since I also applied for the signature campaign.

Actually, it's not the first gambling site that blocks my IP address or country, but it does not worry me as most of the reputable gambling sites that I am still using until now are accepting my bets without a problem, mind you, I gamble anonymously.

So I'd like to hear from you guys, please shed some light on my concern as I just like to get an accurate answer about my curiosity.

This isnt talking about a country does have gambling ban or prohibition but rather this is on sites terms or list of blocked or restricted countries which means it has nothing to do with your government
but rather this is on the site itself which do prohibits out those Filipino users to access the site and yes lots had been saying that gambling isnt prohibited or banned in the Philippines
but still some sites do really include it on the list.If you are really that eager on accessing the site then you could always use VPN but well you do know the risk.

Well it is based on their discretion.

If they decide that there are severe pressures from authorities then they will probably be stricter with enforcing these IP bans.

But I've seen certain sites that operate without an IP ban and just write rules in their T&Cs as well, but of course that increases their chances of being cracked down upon when authorities come by.

Each casino site has its own rules and terms of services. Some sites allow other country's IP and some restrict it for their own reasons. That's why checking their TOS is necessary upon joining so you won't have questions or even regrets in the future. Some sites get abused whenever their players use IP addresses and I guess that's what they're trying to get rid of.

I agree with what the user @alegotardo said above, if you are a little uncomfortable, just use a proxy server to solve your "problem".
Not good idea if OP want to gamble in that casino, you may need to check the casino past accusation they had accusing someone without valid proof and changing their TOS.

it's not going to benefit them if they are banning many countries where these ban countries can access other gambling sites, not really a good idea they should change their terms and accommodate many countries like other gambling sites are doing.
IMO every casino will always want every countries can play on their casino, they don't have a right to unban countries because it's based on their law and providers.

I experienced something like that too, usually you can see it immediately on their terms and conditions but just a little fact right now some of the gambling sites allowed users to create an account even it is written on their terms and condition that they are not allowed. If you were blocked from the start, those were some really considerate gambling sites.

If you are not allowed to play on certain website, then just quit it. If you insist and use VPN or similar to that you might be in trouble, nothing serious, they may just terminate your account and confiscate all the money you have on your account.

the restriction most likely has something to do with their license. I agree with Neuroticfish, if you want an accurate answer, ask their staff/support, you may have to use VPN to do that but at least you'll have an answer that will clarify your question.

anyway, here's an example of a reason why gambling sites restrict countries from using their platform
Thank you for your patience in waiting for our response. Our list of restricted countries was put in place in order to adhere to our licensing terms and is something that we are hoping to reduce in the future.

Maybe you're country is banned or your IP is banned, I don't see any reason why you're going to get banned if you didn't do anything wrong so I assume that you're not telling the full story OP.
Some of the previous posts already mentioned the actual reason why it's blocked on OP's end and it's because they haven't secured a gambling license atm.

They are banning countries not only accounts or IP they have an ongoing campaign here that's good but, it's not going to benefit them if they are banning many countries where these ban countries can access other gambling sites, not really a good idea they should change their terms and accommodate many countries like other gambling sites are doing.
They might lose potential players from banning certain countries but at the same time it doesn't hurt to be cautious as a lot of sites block certain countries even if there's no restriction.

I guess that will be their choice to block some countries while they are accepting the other country.
Maybe that is related to their license, their government rules where they are hosting their website, or why they do that.
If you are really curious about that, you can ask the support system to know the right answer because we just speculate about the answer.
Besides asking about that, you can ask about using a VPN to access the site and if they allow you to use VPN, that will not be a problem because I am sure you will not try to break their rule.

Most like you need to ask for support or chat them , most of the gambling sites now has a live chat feature or not you can email them. If i am guessing this was cause by the ip range from your IP which has block by the website owner because of the abuse, though it is not your fault but someone did it so i think they mistakenly block you in accessing websites, and other reason from this is you could try to use a vpn or any like DNS to fix problem because some of ISP block the website. You can access it if you use VPN but only if it allows it in the website

That is why we need to read the TOS first before diving into a gambling casino.
If this is stated on their TOS, you dont need to find another gambling casino that did not restrict in your country. We have a lot of gambling casinos here as an alternative one. Have you ask to them why it is restricted to your country, it is rare that your country was belong to the restricted countries (most common).

I'm also surprised on this particular gambling site, this is the only gambling site so far that I cannot access on my location all the other gambling casinos online are accessible to me,  it's their loss anyway, gambling casino operators should include as many countries as possible to expend their territories as long as they are allowed.
Online casinos are in very stiff competition because it is the fastest growing industry and banning countries where other casinos allow is not a good idea to grow their membership.

It's not always like that. Like I posted here, I've pointed out that it might be because of the game license. I don't know the specific reason for bet365 to restrict the gambling-free country like the Philippines but I think no big deal on that and no need to know the specific reason. If by any chance, you can contact their support. And as shared above, clearly it's about the license. We can now conclude that's the reason because it comes to their support itself.

If you like an accurate answer about your curiosity specifically on btc365.com terms about restricted countries, you are in the wrong place because all responses will be in general unless a representative from btc365.com responded here. Contact their support about the specific reason why a certain country is ban.

In general, even a country doesn't ban gambling, you can't expect that some gambling sites will allow users from that country. There is a thing called jurisdiction, maybe from their game provider or the license itself.

It's usually a matter of gambling license, I didn't find the license of the casino anywhere on the website but they've maybe recently applied for a gambling license in one country and they're currently waiting for it. Then they have to respect the terms of the requested license even if they still haven't received it at this moment.

That is why we need to read the TOS first before diving into a gambling casino.

The TOS is usually found on the gambling website, but if you are blocked from accessing the website, you can not read the whole TOS and there's no need to read it because it's a statement that you are not allowed to gamble. Which one would you choose, a site that allows you to access the site even if your country is banned, and when you deposit they will freeze your funds or the one that OP was concern about?
Well, when a casino is highly regulated it could be they manage by fair and they are law-abiding operators that most companies get along fine.
If you are blocked by them, it is obvious your country is restricted and abe advise not to use VPN because that is very risky when it comes to your fund, just let them be if they will not accept you, just fine other gambling casinos that have a restriction like this. I just now heard also about this because usually country of the Philippines is rarely ban bitcoin.

if the op is curious why such restriction, i believe, he can always get in touch with the casino's support and clarify this matter. at least, get a direct answer from the site why his country is restricted. so he doesn't need to go to the route of using vpn, in which, the casino may not allow also. better know what's their side on this to avoid violation of their ToS, which may possibly affect his funds.
My country allows many foreign betting sites like bet365 and I have used the gambling site for gambling back in the past which makes me not to know much about VPN on the gambling site, but back then I learn that VPN can be used to access bet365 very easy, if a VPN does not work, it is just because the betting site has blacklisted the VPN already as a result of illegal activities or so, but you are right that making use of IP address directly will be best and we should be very careful with what is custodial for our money not to be lost as bet365 is in control of customer's funds.

I am very sure that bet365 customer care will respond fast to such question and they will have the best answer.

VPN could really bypass the IP restriction, however, do understand that although you can access the site there's also a big risk of using the VPN especially if the site requires you to comply with the KYC which for sure your location will not match on the documents you will submit, which is a red flag on their part and your account might be terminated.

Have you noticed an increase in negative content published about gambling addiction? It seems there is a global campaign to crackdown on gambling. A war on gambling. Like the war on drugs and war on terrorism.

There are also many exchanges who do not comply with KYC reporting requirements being forced to shut down. Gambling sites who do not comply with KYC reporting may also be forced to discontinue service to some regions.

I live in the USA and see many of those messages you took a screenshot of everywhere. On crypto exchanges, fantasy sports websites, gambling sites. Even shopping on amazon. There is a long list of things I cannot buy on amazon due to state bans.

Thanks, big help to verify that my country is block based on the TOS because I could not access it.
Bet365 even do lot support cryptocurrencies, you can check the gambling board on this forum to get the reputed gambling sites on this forum, they make use of cryptocurrencies.

But stay away from 1xbit

It's a general question, and the main point of my post is Why some gambling sites allowed my IP and why some restrict it?
Why others allowed my IP address to access their site?
It will likely be an order from your government, not only because of how gambling is in your country, either legal or illegal, you government can tell bet365.com to block such IP or maybe you government block the IP through your service provider. I do not know if this is happening in some countries but I believe some countries will want to increase local gambling services which can be the reason.

or is it because of the gambling license of the casino itself? some licenses are restricting countries even if the country is not very strict about it. this is to avoid possible violation and losing their license.
if the op is curious why such restriction, i believe, he can always get in touch with the casino's support and clarify this matter. at least, get a direct answer from the site why his country is restricted. so he doesn't need to go to the route of using vpn, in which, the casino may not allow also. better know what's their side on this to avoid violation of their ToS, which may possibly affect his funds.

Best would be to ask them why, still, since you asked for our opinion too, I'll say that what you wrote "gambling is not totally illegal in my country" should be the key. My concern is actually for everyone who has the same experience as me.

It's a general question, and the main point of my post is Why some gambling sites allowed my IP and why some restrict it?

Every site is monitored differently.
Every country has different opinions and rules regarding gambling.
The reason why some sites might block your IP address might be :
1. They do not find that county profitable perse
2. There might be rules and regulations which might cause their downfall in the long term.
3. The scope of gambling in that country might be complicated and they do not wanna deal with it..
4. There might be a lot of scams or high taxation, reasons can be countless but at the end of the day it's their personal preference to do that but mind it, do not use NORDvpn or anything because that is too against the rules on many gambling sites therefore it's better to place bets with the sites that does allow you legally to do so.
Always play in legal restraints both from your country's rules and from the site's rules as well.
Gamble safely.

I really don't know any web developer thingy that will likely cause this, but it is clear it is not allowed or restricted in our country, first maybe there are many scam reports that the site has acquired here in the Philippines for it to be ban or restricted, 2nd the gambling site have an issue with our country there might be some hacking issue that connecting themselves here will likely access their main net.........
That's a wild speculation you got here, can we just think maybe it's a regulatory requirement by the license provider, and they just follow. Don't make things complicated and don't focus on the Philippines only as it's been shared that there are also other countries that the site cannot serve.

Anyway, I believe that there must be some kind of legal problem with btc365.com in this country, such as lack of registration or something like that.

I am thinking of the opposite, if the site is not regulated or lacks regulation, they can just allow anyone to gamble and continue to promote anonymity, in this gambling site, they blocked certain countrries and if you are blocked, there's no way to see the TOS, rather you'll only see the image prompt like what OP has posted.

That's strange, the site was poorly designed if it doesn't even let you see the TOS.
In fact, it's curious that a Gambling site is blocked in the Philippines that has had games of this type all over its territory since the 16th century (yes, I researched this here). Anyway, I believe that there must be some kind of legal problem with btc365.com in this country, such as lack of registration or something like that.

I guess it depends on where they get their license, if the provider of the license restricts your country, then you cannot access the site.

Do understand that crypto gambling sites have different license provider, most gambling sites IMO get a Curacao license, and the Philippines is not restricted by this provider as you can see.

https://www.gbo-intl.com/curacao-gaming-license/

Quote
At the time of writing, the restricted countries by Curacao gambling laws are:
Australia, the ABC territories, France, The Netherlands, the Caribbean islands, Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, the USA, and any other jurisdiction that Curaçao declares online gambling illegal.

So my guess is, probably the site you've mentioned has a different provider.

Well if you really want to find the right information to avoid confusion about why they restrict Philippines IP accessing from accessing their site is to ask the dev about the reason behind on why they impose this decision, There are so many gamblers here in that country want to try some new site launch so if you have interest then try to ask and show us their answer about this inquiry.
