Hey guys, new to the whole crypto currency world but I am doing a lot of reading and observing.

What I cannot figure out is why there are so many negative viewpoints on any type of alt coin exploding in value.

Even take bitcoin for example. Until this month, most people didn't really know about bitcoin. It reaching 16K-17K in such a short amount of time really put it in the spotlight.

Now I hear "Well, it's not going to happen again! And millennials are investing in these cheaper coins thinking they're going to be millionaires".

That may be true (Even though I don't know one person, young or old, who are investing in any type of coin), but why the negativity?

As I said, I'm new. Is it fair to assume they said the same thing about bitcoin. Did bitcoins proliferation of value some how make it impossible for any other coin to follow suit?

You would think that after bitcoin shot up, people would take these currencies more seriously, yet so many people seem to be even MORE angered by it, and are saying "Sorry guys, you missed the train! No one's gonna be part of the next big thing. It was bitcoin and now it's over, and even that's a bubble".
