The price of GPUs are skyrocketing? Where? Cause of my local price and aboard price for GPUs, both are much cheaper compared to before. And this is already taken into account of the inflation which your 100$ isn't worth as much as before as both fuel and food price has been increasing so much, again inflation.
Can you show us any examples? Since the above was talking about the overall GPUs price. Maybe there are some selective few GPUs that did have price increases but we didn't know.

Guys, OP probably are misinformed about prices of last years.
As he said in his post, they saw the prices 2019 and now, he missed the peak of prices hahahaha
To us, market is coming back to better prices, not ideal, but due to demand/supply market is returning to acceptable prices, but even that, 2019 prices are probably gone forever.

In my country entry level GPUs are 50 to 70% higher than 2019

I was able to get new amd5600 gpus in aug‹ of 2020 as low as 260 pre tax at newegg .
I paid 277 each after tax. I think I got 2% off the 277 so say they were 272 and six months to pay them off.
these cards went as high as 650 a piece when eth peaked

40 mh 90 watts good cards still working now.

now that ETH has decided to destroy itself and I am sitting with about 200 cards it should be fun to see just how much the market tanks

What GPU is that? Your retailer is probably trying to get more profits if they're offering you that price point unless your location is so remote nobody else sells any GPU other than them.

Go look online, you'll see that the price is getting better as others have said. If the online price + tax + other cost is still cheaper than your local store, I'd say go for it.

Why are the prices of graphics card and processor  and the others equipment suddenly skyrocketing?  The price of the graphics card which was 200 dollars in 2019 is now more than 300 dollars.  What is the real reason for these ,is it mining?
If you look at the last of 2019 then Covid-19 became a pandemic All over the world has suffered for this and also if you looks at the starting of 2020 you will see that Bitcoin price is also rising on that time . So I think  Both are the reasons for the increase in the price of GPUs. And now it's became little cheaper than 2021 but I think it is also can be reason that where are  you living. Moreover, due to the Russia-Ukraine war, the prices of all goods are increasing all over the world.

Where have you been living for the past couple of years? We had Covid19 in early 2020 and due to that it distrupted alot of supply chains and increased money supply. Pretty much everything is much more expensive now.

Houses, rent, cars, computer equipment like GPUs.

Another reason why GPUs went up since 2019 is because mining was very profitable in 2020-2021 so all the miners bought them up. Hence why the pricing doesn't make sense. Whats worse is people paying $200 for an RX 470 which had an MSRP of $200 about 6 years ago.

Prices are somewhat better and people can buy graphic cards cheaper, the first ones to go down dramatically in price are old generations like Gtx 10 series and Rx 400/500 series. If these go down in price chances are that even newer generations will somewhat follow although at a much lower scale. What this means is that in a couple of weeks from now everyone who would like to try to build a rig or jump in the mining train would have the possibility to do so no matter his financial situation, yes that is how much down in price will go those old generation cards.

Where are you getting these high price per graphic cards? Which country are you from? Do visit aliexpress and check on prices, the are already down but still not far from MSRP, if the merge is complete by 12 or 13 of this month many miners will shut down because profit will be lesser and unbearable.

What is the real reason for these ,is it mining?
Not just mining, but generally the price of everything is on the increase. The cost of production of these GPU's which includes, the cost of acquiring their various components plus transportation, even electricity to mention a few has increased, so you don't expect the price it was a year ago to be the same price currently. You can blame general inflation.

gpu's are cheaper on sept 1 , 2022 than sept 1, 2021

inflation may have caused them to cost more than sept 1, 2020.  But mining really ran gpu prices way up all of 2021. Now that eth is destroying itself by switching to pos and off pow gpu prices are far lower.

I can see the op is new and may not follow prices well but a senior person should have more of a grasp on current gpu prices than you do.

I can go to EVGA.com and buy gpus for 30% than I could do last year.

There must be a disturbance in the temporal continuum this week. I was asked to add x16rv2 to cpuminer-opt
which was done 2 years ago.

this not belong in btc mining section.

it belongs in the alt coin section.

mods will move it soon.

your question is a bit out of date.

2019 gpus cheap and mining was bad
2020 gpus went up a bit mining was better
2021 gpus sky rocket mining is great
2022 gpus slowly drop in price mining is getting worse

your question should have been asked say spring-summer 2021
