It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.

I don’t consider those who offered copy/pasted ICOs as being talented. I’m talking about people who actually built innovative things from the ground up. One good example of talent that has moved on would be the developer behind directbet.eu, another would be Casascius. To be honest, I didn't heard of these two particular projects, maybe they were just trying to bring innovative ideas into this wild cryptocurrency space, I can't judge and not going to. From scambuster's point of view, this is exception that proves the rule, most crypto projects are scam projects, the main goal of which to receive money and disappear. These scammers are competing with each other - who will be the first to create innovative and working idea - how to decieve newbies in the most efficient way. We have seen many of such ideas and many methods that they used, but those who just came haven't seen it yet, so goal is to show who are really talented and who are scamming. chasing away talent Those talents made millions by scamming newbies during ICO era. No one was chasing away them. I don’t consider those who offered copy/pasted ICOs as being talented. I’m talking about people who actually built innovative things from the ground up. One good example of talent that has moved on would be the developer behind directbet.eu, another would be Casascius. My question is simple: First of all, posts about crypto scams are not against the forum rules. However, if you think that some post is low value, junk, not deserve to exist, just report it to moderator. If you don't like someones posts just press ignore button, if you consider crypto scam topic useless, just press ignore button again, but don't try to censor anyone here. Freedom of speech, you know. Are these newbies so dumb that they do not understand what scam can do to them? or are we so dumb to believe that we have no what to post and what will benefit the newbie??? Newbies aren't dumb, they are unexperienced. There's a big difference. Dumb people are those ones who consider themselves too smart and think they know everything. chasing away talent Those talents made millions by scamming newbies during ICO era. No one was chasing away them. A lot of people here want to feel important, but are unable to create anything of value, so they act as forum police pointing out scams that nobody would ever fall for as a way to pretend they are making a difference in the community. The sad part is that in their desperation to feel important they end up harassing everyone who tries to build anything here, chasing away talent and leaving this place as a cesspool of scammers and trolls endlessly fighting using multiple alt accounts to make posts advertising shady money laundering coin mixers and illegal gambling operations in their signatures to make a few bucks. It’s been one of the great disappointments in my life watching what this forum has devolved into while Nero watches Rome burn. You are absolutely correct @OgNasty, there has been so many instances where things have gone wrong due to social policing by members in this forum. I cannot pin point as I fear I will lose everything that I worked for. My question is simple: Are these newbies so dumb that they do not understand what scam can do to them? or are we so dumb to believe that we have no what to post and what will benefit the newbie??? ...Why will a begginer always want to read about a scam and not the benefits he can achieve being here?... Because the main task of Newbies is not to lose your money when you first get acquainted with cryptocurrency. In fact, everyone wants to get a profit without putting much effort and knowledge. This is why offers a large selection of scams that promise 100% profit in 24 hours. If you learn not to lose your money, then it will be easier for you to earn it.

Why will a beginner always want to read about a scam and not the benefits he can achieve being here? Give the beginners and newbies the benefit of the doubt. They have completely no knowledge about it so it's a good initiative by them if they are searching through the forum and reading things relatively to scams. Some or many of them just want to search for specific things and don't want to stay so they're all just for the information, comes by and goes by.
If it's about specific scam project then it should be posted in the scam section but if it is about tutorial guide about scamming then it's ok to post it here, in scam section there is a format here, you need to have subject to make your thread valid, or it will just be deleted.
Well, I suppose it's because threads about scams (how to avoid them and the like) are easy ways to be acknowledged for one's post to become creative/useful. Plus, I think they think of it as a guaranteed way to earn merit (Just saying it's a way, not that all newbies are posting for merit). My opinion of it would be just to avoid it if you think it's irritating or something, let them post what they want since it's basically still useful oneway or another. And each post about how to avoid crypto scams could provide new information, after all, so they're basically free to do as such. And it's not like they just copy and pasted it from someone, but I do agree about what @mk4 said, a pinned thread that could get regularly updated about scams.
I understand your point, if the topic is a general advice not targetting specific project or platform, I guess threads like that should be merged but if it is about a specific project it should be posted on scam accusation instead. If you find one you can freely report it to moderator. But if the thread is about something like, a new technique of scammers nowadays I guess that is really helpful for us newbies to be informed, I still consider myself a newbie.
Quote I am not against scam related topics I am against portraying the newbies that cryptocurrency is all about scams. You said it yourself, "are Newbies a bunch of retards that do not understand Scams?" for sure they understand, newbies are curious individuals and for sure they will know the truth about cryptocurrency and its importance, there are just people creating topics without searching first if it already exist.
The first is, they are newbies, where even beginners do sometimes really not know anything. Or they are people who are easily influenced without wanting to analyze it first about the truth. Not everyone understands about the crypto world, not everyone wants to learn from the beginning related to the crypto world. And there are some people who just follow the hype, the influence of others, and the lure that is extraordinary to be rich, so they are interested.
Not only newbies, but people who have long been in the crypto world are still the target and victims of scams. That is why we are here to help each other, at least announcing and allowing them aware of the scams. It is not really disturbing to help each other, isn't it? We are sharing the information that can help the members to avoid scams.
Unfortunately, matters related to deception are not present here. They are everywhere, in every location, and in every forum that contains beginners. These people are new to the field they enter in and they have no experience. That is why fraudsters exploit them using many forms of fraud, the most important way. The temptation to speak and persuade as the impostor persuades the novice that he will pay him large sums in exchange for clicking on a specific link or downloading a specific application.
Because most of the times, beginners are the victims of such scams. Since they are noob and have no idea about this environment, they get tricked in such scam method. That's why I too think such threads should be posted on this board to make awareness among all the people. We do not have any other topic to share or talk about in this thread. I believe you are talking about board. Thread and topic are the same thing while the board is different.Hey! @Pffrt, Thanks for making me understand the difference between a Thread and a Board. I also feel that you made my day after a typo mistake. You are a STAR @Pffrt!!! Are Newbies a bunch of retards that do not understand Scams? OR We do not have any other topic to share or talk about in this thread. Scammers are everywhere, infact Fiat related Scams are more prominent than Crypto Scams. Why are we intentionally talking about Crypto Scam always in this thread, when we know it just a small fish in a big pond of Scams. Those who regularly create topics in this thread, try to create topics which are Guides or tutorial related to cryptocurrencies or about this platform. There are other threads that are regularly updating about scams and how to avoid them. I am not against scam related topics I am against portraying the newbies that cryptocurrency is all about scams. The same topic written differently won't make any difference. EDIT My question to all of you after reading your replies:
I think members here are more concerned about scams than the benefits. I also believe this place forum needs to understand that we are the face of a community that promotes benefits an not scams. We need to have seperate board only to discuss about scams in crypto space. I also believe that merits are the main reason why members are creating more topics which are almost same on scams. This has been happened 6 months ago since I start create this topic in Meta to find a solution Expose scam site in Beginner & Help board? Not only on this section I have seen some sections where there are scam reports and some of them are not created by newbies we should all be aware that if we want to get attention from what we are posting it should be posted in the right section because members expect to see what they want to see on their section of interest. And yeah, the answer is "All related scam project" should be posted in Scam accusations, you can use report to moderator and let the moderator move it. If the thread mainly discuss about how to avoid scams, it can be posted on Scam accusations or Beginner & Help (if you want).

We are using the term newbie means beginner, does not have enough knowledge and as one of the elders on our forum we know right now are the guides and dos and don't we are posting the threads on the beginners & help to keep them aware even we already have a section of Scam Accusations still one of the common things they visit is this board as a newbie you have a lot of questions what is this, what is that and what are those things they need to learn.
We are here to guide them. My answer to your question.
While I think topics concerning scams on the Beginners & Help section help inform some newbies, I also think that there's a bit too much topics sometimes. I still think that we really need a pinned topic concerning the common scams on this section just to potentially at least halve the scam posts as some are really really redundant.
Because beginners are the most vulnerable to fraud because they do not have experience in the field of encryption and therefore scammers target them by offering attractive offers and beginners always strive to earn currencies quickly and they fall victim to fraud operations and for this reason issues related to fraud are published in this section Classic example of a textbook you have quoted! Why will a begginer always want to read about a scam and not the benefits he can achieve being here Did anyone here create a topic about benefits of cryptocurrency? or we assumed they know about it. Because beginners are the most vulnerable to fraud because they do not have experience in the field of encryption and therefore scammers target them by offering attractive offers and beginners always strive to earn currencies quickly and they fall victim to fraud operations and for this reason issues related to fraud are published in this section Yeah and some scams are forum specific or specific to certain tools such as social media that newbies have to be warned of as enough have been scammed those ways already... I'd advise if a topic doesn't look like something you'd want to see and it isn't clickbait you should be able to just scroll past it... You got it all wrong. Just because you know about different scam tricks or tactics does not mean that everyone out there is aware of them, and people creating warnings or guides on how one can safeguard their bitcoins against scammers does not mean that Crypto is all about scam. Unlike fiat which one can even access from a young age, cryptocurrencies are something digital, security sensitive, and very new to most people who can easily fall prey to online scammers, hackers and malware, so seriously the warnings are really required. You should in fact applaud such members for trying to alert the community because it's an effort that takes time. There's no need to be mad about this. You took it wrong @JeromeTash I never said I was against all such post, I said I am against creating the same post with different subjects or topics.

Let's start off by the term Newbies.
[1]: Who creates account and gets only one activity point or post a lot but has not yet receive a single merit. They are newbies on the forum, from the criteria of rank. That's it. [2]: Not all of them are actually newbies in crypto. Some of them are experts, tech gurus and they have a title (rank) newbie because of their limited time participated and contributed on the forum.
My question to all of you after reading your replies: 1. Think of losses and prevent losses before thinking of profits. So yeah such threads are do helpful (some are extremely helpful).
2. There are around the forum. No need to ask so, mate. 3. Why did you think others create threads only because of merits?

If you give some examples of those topic link it would be better actually what are you against to post here. Yes, you are right that scam-related posts should be posted in the appropriate section, so for scam-related something we have scam accusations section. But sometimes some users think some new scam technic could affect mainly newbies members, post those things as a guide in this Beginners & Help section to warn the newbies IMO.
