I have searched all over the google and found that bitcoin community is much larger and a large number of companies are working with bitcoin. But why there are only a few signature campaigns in this section?

Well that is because this is not the right section for signature campaigns or you might tell that here in forum. It is because signature campaigns need to have a large budget or fund for promoting their website or service. It's either they are new and they still need to get some profit out of their advertising but once their promotion is effective, they are going to keep on running.

Some signature campgaigns ask the campgaigners to post certain number of posts in the gaming section.
did something went wrong with your keyboard?  Signature campaign, gambling section.
They are doing that because they think there are a lot of people gonna read/post in that section, but i don't agree about that rules because it would causing spam posts in 1 section.

There are many ways of advertising your business and it's usually based on their budget. Signature campaigns really costs a lot and some of them thinks that it is not a effective way of promoting, That's why some signature campaigns don't last long.

Well, I've noticed it's mostly the gambling casinos that have signature campaigns here,
while some are also new or fairly new exchanges. And then there are the altcoins.
Probably because majority of the forum users are interested in gambling(or something like)
Some, like primedice have stopped their campaigns.(maybe they don't need it anymore)

It's not really a few, more like there's just some specific groups/kinds.

I don't think that there are only a few signature campaigns here In fact the big and trusted ones are here to advertise their site. The number signature campaigns that don't last long is low cause doing and maintaining a signature campaign causes a lot of money.

Usually the ones who last long are the big companies  Wink

They don't last long since they some of them only plans for short time period since they experimenting it if they could get some huge benifit when they run a sig campaign but turns closing it down if they cannot get success. But the truth fact here is there are so many sig campaigns here the only matter for us to see is to find them in service section or locates michelle's post where we can find all list of sig campaign who's currently running.

I don't athink that here are only few signature campaigns. There are plenty of them but not all of them have need for new members all the time and most of them have very strict requirements regarding rank and other conditions that you have to fill to be accepted. And not all companies have need or desire to promote themselves through signatue campaigns and they invest in different kind of marketing, maybe more profitable for them.

I suppose that those companies aren't really that interested in a signature campaign. Depending on the company, they could already have a high amount of people using their services so they may not even need a signature campaign.

I want to believe that its actually about timing that campaigns come out because currently on the forum quite a number of campaigns are really going on and by my count, nothing less than 15 going on in relation to Bitcoin and other campaign in relation to ALTs in their own category not even counting the number of Twitter campaigns as well as Facebook campaigns going on currently. This might no be the same as at the time Op posted this that why I      lay emphasis on timing.

The campaign is not open at the same time other campaign already finish and they think thier popular enough and don't need any more to promoting by signature campaign thats I think the reason why.

No, i think you should check it out most of the best signature campaigns are here, and they are not a few numbers. Secondly, campaigns are here to advertise it and also they have time limit, when their time have been finished than they go back, but than new one campaigns are come, So in this way, the circle is continue, but we can't say that only few campaigns are here in this section.

I would also say it also depends solely on time factor as not all campaigns will be active at the same time. Its going to be on a rolling basis… Also if you follow the link supplied in earlier page, you will realized the list is kind of extensive with some still active and some no longer active…
and lots of altcoin campaigns. plust 2 new campaign just started today few hours ago.
I don't think there is only few campaigns.
the reason of a campaign is to advertise something among the forum members.like a gambling site. an altcoin. or an exchange etc. if there is no much campaign simply mean that companies don't want to promote via signature campaign.

You are right but before or i think still now if you are the publisher then google is really the best choice because as you have said they really are quite expensive so their paying rate is also really good

I have an opinion that bitcoin's value has moved away from the original community and is now a more serious currency in the world.  This means there is less value to spread around on forums and such.  Just a theory.

I don't think we're there yet but the day is coming. this is still the epicentre of most of the action. there have been a few cases like bit-x/coinsbank where their campaign ended as they took it to the next level but there'll always be a lot of people here so there'll be some type of sig campaign as long as they're tolerated.

I think you are looking in the wrong section bro. You can find many signature campaign in the service section. There are many active Signature campaign there right now and most of them are paying good amount of Bitcoin. Just keep searching the forum bro. goodluck

This thread is dedicated exclusively to keeping track of current signature campaigns on the forum. The OP of that thread may not be quite up to date, though, so you need to read the last few pages of the thread too if you want to stay informed about new campaigns popping up. And closely watching the Services section could be very helpful if you want to participate in one such campaign.

->Most of the incoming traffic is either due to bitcoin technical support  or simply earning bitcoins on the forum.
->Which is basically 90% of the bitcoin enthusiasts or simply money makers.
->Forum has the best content when it comes to technical issues or bitcoin projects or marketplace.
->The forum is kept as much as "decentralized" as possible which is not the paradigm followed by other bitcoin forums.

I don't think there are very few signature campaigns on this section. From the thread where all campaigns are listed if you check you will see that at least 10 signature campaigns are active and enrolling is going on.

His point is that there's probably 100s of companies that accept Bitcoin, how come only 10 or so bother to advertise here.

It's a great question. I think the answer is because most companies that accept bitcoin don't know a significant amount about it it, they aren't geeking out on it so they may not know that this forum even exists!

But you've identified a great opportunity. We could bring those companies in here, more ad opportunities and expand the bitcoin market at the same time. I guess the best unanswered question is what kind of traffic does this site get. If it's 100 ppl a day it may not be worth those larger companies time. If it's 1000 per day we might be on to something.

true that,Google ads campaigns could be very expensive and I know for sure fortunejack and a few other bitcoin gambling sites were splashing out over 5 btc a month for banner campaigns at almost every btc ad network, too
it was crazy when you just could not find a site without their ads Smiley think they had almost 70% share of all the ads shown for 3-4 weeks at one particular period of spring
for smaller businesses,0.5 btc a week is way too much,if you have noticed the majority of the sig campaigns are either gambling, some sort of an exchange or mixer service they have instant return from their clients and possible rebills
planning your ad campaign depends on many factors though, large companies know their TA,they have experienced managers who decide how to allocate advertising funds and meet the targets so I don't think they skip bitcointalk forum as their  ads platform just because they don't know it exists
could be any reason starting from the ease to start a campaign, when you have to get an account, find a campaign manager, escrow funds etc.
maybe, just maybe bitcointalk forum should run their own ads and position itself as a quality advertisement option as well as a source of info, but of course it is up to the owners to decide

I think what you mean is there's only few signature campaigns that accept newbie participants because most of the signature campaigns here only accepts from full member up to Legendary, and why is that? It is because the higher the rank the higher chance that their advertisement or signature campaigns will gonna get advertise easily and the higher the rank glamours more others attention. You should get your account into a member by posting in different boards so that you can start to find signature campaigns that is compatible with your account.

There are a lot of campaigns active, but not so many with spaces available and for the best paying ones you will need to wait a while to join them.

Personally I think they are great for the community as it can keep people active and improve their knowlege, some do get upset at the amount of spam that some users tend to post just to increase the post count but overall I think it is a plus for the bitcoin community.

You will also find some campaigns that are not listed in the overview.

I have searched all over the google and found that bitcoin community is much larger and a large number of companies are working with bitcoin. But why there are only a few signature campaigns in this section?
because it costs alot of coins to run a decent signature campaign here:
it could cost you 0.5+ btc a week,so you would spend 2 btc+ a month
not every bitcoin company is willing to spend 1.200$ to cover just one advertisement option-signature campaign
as popular as bitcointalk is ,there are many other, cheaper ways to advertise your services:banner ads, text ads,paid-to-click ads, articles, reviews etc.
the key word  is efficiency
The clear statement because not all of the companies is always having a regular capital for giving funding for their campaign. and that is will need a lot of funds. but this is not valid for the campaign is having a large source for their amount or I can say the regular capital.

Bitcoin has certainly got serious traction and wider recognition in the last few years. But this doesn't seem to have a lot to do with the startup companies that are using or planning to use it. They would still need attention of the general public just like any other startup in any industry that aims to first get into and then remain in the public eye. As the old adage says, without publicity there is no prosperity. And here still seems to be a good place to bootstrap your business recognition and distinction.

If you check the signature campaign overview thread you will see that there are more than 20 active campaigns listed atm,I wouldn't say that they are few.
Also not every Bitcoin related company is interested to advertise through a signature campaign here, some of them choose a different way and some do not even need to advertise since they are alreday well know.

Maybe that list is not enough for him to be seen, and also maybe he wants to find more campaigns so people can havr many choices to joined with, but also i think for this one some other site don't have budget allocate to run a campaign aswell us others are doubting to build since thered no gaurantee that they will success to their act if they cannot sustain it for many months longer, and that scene really are most likely reason why others cant affor to run a campaign.

The number of signature campaigns in this forum is good considering altcoin signature campaigns , the main target for any signature campaign is advertising a site or service , but when the site become well known , the site owners will stop advertising it , because they achieved their goal.

Other than that this forum is not the only point of the campaign there are many sites offering publisher services
Bitmedia , mellowads , a-ads also google adsense in general, the campaign here is a gambling site because they're targeting users in this forum
does not make sense if the gambling sites to advertise outside of this forum they will be unable to compete with other sites that use dollar and local banks

Many bitcoin related companies choosing other ways how to promote their businnes. They are using ad networks, buying ad spaces on websites or using social networks for advertising. They don't choose signature campaigns to advertise service for few reasons. They thinking that other advertising methods are cheaper and more effective. And maybe they don't have knowledge about signature advertisement and they don't look serious into it.

There are few signature campaigns in this forum because there are most likely not interested in providing a signature campaign. There's also the fact that some signature campaigns have closed their signature campaign in the past(such as bit-x). I think that these reasons are why there are few signature campaigns.

There are a lot of possible explanations. Some companies may rely entirely on the word of mouth, others are already big enough and simply don't need advertising here. A few former startups (for example, PrimeDice) had been actively using signature campaigns in the past, when they just started operations and were looking for publicity, but right now they are well known, prosperous, and don't need such form of advertising any more.
