Ive being cruising around Altcoin threads.
I really liked some ideas, so ove downloaded couple wallets.ZEIT, EMBER, DEEPONION
All of them turned out to be same application.
It looks like it was developed back in 99 on MFC 4.2.
Why is that. BOOST libarary has pretty good http server. If you must use C++ to talk to chain, its ok, but its possible to implement REST interface, and provide local web client that will be limited to work with localhost only.
Most of the sites of coins look really nice. So they must have pretty good front end developers.
The wallet UI is not something very difficult in terms of controls.
You can even ship it as docker which will be relief for all PoS serious people who need to run wallets 24/7. Upgrades will be better.
That will make app to depend less on OS GUI.
From product management perspective WEB client is much more effective than C++ code. Much more flexible, and manageable.
What do you think?
