Also,acc to him,even if he mentioned a quote or something from article ,he did give a link to it.
Why isn't he here to fight his own case? He is allowed to post in the meta section to speak for himself. Although, if it is indeed plagiarism, there is nothing he can do. Plagiarism brings a permanent ban for life.
That means he must have done some useful posts ?
Everybody does one or two mistakes in their life.

From the statement above, it is clear that everyone that does plagiarism will be absolutely permanently banned.
I know that your friend may have tried very well for this forum and he got merit. But, I'm sure that many newbies here also do the same. We are also doing our best to make a qualified posting to get at least one merit.
But, fault is a fault. And as the consequence of the fault, we must be ready for the consequences after doing that fault. It is better for us to take this as the lesson.
