Just hold both your BTC and BCH. If there really is a back room conspiracy for BCH to take over from BTC you will be able to see it coming, just watch the hash rate on both chains. Since the Chinese mining cartel controls the majority hash rate you can not rule out a black swan event.

Ya try to hold you Btc after August 1.Why because, anything may happen. No one know that.Either may increase in bitcoin price or else the bitcoin may change to BCC.I.e ,Bitcoin will be replaced by another altcoin. Their is a possibility for both. So keep calm till August 1.
LOL, I can sure 100% all happens until today are scenario from whales + exchange, they want we sell all our altcoin before August 1st or after that time. So, today Poloniex has up the rate fee loan offer for kill margin trader as me, from 0.1%/day to 5%/day Angry

You will need to sit on your BCH for a number of months most likely. Patience.

An interesting blog post from Michael Krieger on a possible scenario after the August 1st split.

https://libertyblitzkrieg.com/2017/07/28/is-the-bitcoin-civil-war-over-heres-how-im-thinking-about-bitcoin-cash/

One question. Who is Michael Krieger and why should we listen to him? From his website I cannot help but believe that he wants validation from his thoughts and ideas. I am not saying he is a bad person or his ideas are bad. I am saying that we should not be taking someone's opinions as truth right away.

Massive price drop coming...
I think much better to stay with btc instead of holding both BTC and BCC but maybe my mine will switch to bcc depends on the situation but for now i still waiting too for august 1.. but i am thinking to better to stay use btc instead i thought that they are not splitting the network and they are just activating the segwit and its just a piece of code and now there is new news about bcc..
And i think they are just few are holding bcc after august 1..

The mining cartels won't be willing to sustain losses for long though and there will be quite a dump when it happens.

I'm not of the belief that the money follows where the hashrate is at, it's more like the hashrate follows the money.

I will rather dump BCC on launch and might buy it back after few days when dump will stop.

BTC price on the other hand might not loss support at $2500 but we might see correction upto that level.

Hoping that it won't be going down after August 1. And as I'm planning to do so with BCC, I'll sell most of it as I don't have any plans of supporting it but for having some profit then I have to do his. But I have doubts that I have to sell them or regret to see it pumping even though a lot of exchanges will not support BCC.

so you might own 2 different coins (BTC and BCC)? does that mean you are able to sell both (if prices are 1:1), you'll get twice??
If that is the case then it is really interesting. I will search for that thing on this forum and on google and will find that if we will get that benefit and how will we benefit from BCC. If it will be interested and will be beneficial then I will try to go for that.

True hodlers always hodl.

We don't known if billionaries will pump this BCC. After all it have the smell of a centralized crypto-currency, with its 8mb block size, and the big money loves centralization.

big money should be smart enough to figure out that the impression of lack of centralisation is what gives it value.

It's not a bad argument, but I'm pretty confident that any such manipulation attempt of forcing BTC prices down would quickly get swallowed up by the market. Remember, there's always a bigger fish whale. Also it seems a bit of a risky move for anyone with the dumping power to actually move the BTC price to do so simply to pump BCC (ie. I don't think the gains of a targeted BCC pump would offset the potential loss of a major BTC dump).

Sad but true. Same for governments.

we really do not know what will happen with BCC and how many exchanges will accept it...i think we have to wait a few days to know if this coin will have a future but i would probably dump it and hold the main chain coin.

I'm dumping asap to buy more bitcoins asap because I doubt the price will stay at anything for very long. You might as well take a few bucks rather than nothing. It's a worthless useless currency that we don't need. So many altcoins do it better, so why go with a shitty bitcoin fork?

First of all, I don't have that many BTC in my wallet. So I may get 0.1 or 0.2 BCC after the airdrop (that is, if I claim them). Selling them will hardly get me any money. So I would rather hold on to my coins (Both BCC and BTC).

yep. even if this guy claims not to know a great deal about bitcoin, this rings very true.

it's not gonna go away. it's exactly what the crew hostile to the existing order need to really start wreaking havoc.

Guys, I am going to hold my coins no matter what happens in August. I will keep them in cold storage for at least 3 months. I will think about selling or buying more, only after 90 days from the date I receive my BCC tokens. Taking some risk here. Either I will get a good ROI, or I will be left with zero returns.

Yes, as there will be a chain split you will get 2 coins at different 2 chains.

does that mean you are able to sell both (if prices are 1:1), you'll get twice??

Yes, you'll get twice or you can sell both of those coins but I don't know if BCC=BTC when it comes to pricing of value of it. Possible that the price of BCC is going to be much lower/cheaper.

Is the bitcoin civil war over?Pretty "click-bait" title for this article. Grin
This is not a "civil war",everyone is free to support and use whatever coin he/she wants-bitcoin,bitcoin cash, bitcoin unlimited or any altcoin.Miners and devs aren`t fighting against each other. Some people just have
different ideas about how bitcoin should be improved.Their ideas don`t have the support of the majority and that`s why they want to leave and move on.Is this is a civil war?

so,if you're thinking about holding it or not.
or you're asking about this future ? the answer is very simple, this coin created for dump and pump scheme later on.
you will see huge pump will happen in this coin, and afterward you will see a huge dump.
Nobody can replace Bitcoin as a Crpyocurrency Lord,Nothing to lose even if you holding it for a long time because it's given to us for free

This is what I take from the article, hold for the pump and dump when it comes later.

Actually it's not really hard to understand about BCC and BTC in some way,
Just take it in a simple way,Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and used as a payment for people in the world.
Bitcoin Cash is a clone of Bitcoin itself,it created because of chain split and until right now it doesn't have any function.
Bitcoin Cash in the community already catagorized as an Altcoin, which mean this coin purpose is to get more Bitcoin.

so,if you're thinking about holding it or not.
