If someone has so many gmail accounts, he can use it to register on many social media. Imagine if one account can connect to 5 social media with one profile. And then, imagine if 100 gmail account has 5 social media for each account. That can be a heavy weapon to do marketing in social media. That is from what I read in the e-book about marketing in social media a few years ago. But I don't know how the situations now, but I think each social media will use strict verification for each member who registers with them.
